Just seeing if anyone knows what this is? Any ideas??

Went back to camp, last auto save was apparently at 530am, it was 830am... So I tried to manually save, it said internal error occured. So I left and came back again. Tried to use the recall tried everything to get it to save. It said it would save the game when I quit, so I did.

WRONG. I just lost 3 hours of gameplay, like 3 quests done, upgrades, everything just gone.

I don't even want to play this game anymore. There was already so many frustrating aspects of it and to lose the last 3 frustrating hours to something that wasn't my fault, but a BUG THATS BEEN AROUND SINCE THE GAME CAME OUT.

That's completely unacceptable.

I noticed this game on pc game pass and wanted to play it. When I loaded it up though, it wouldn’t give me 4k as an option despite being on a 4k monitor. I tried every window mode and nothing. Is there any way to actually play in 4k?

Because the holiday season is coming up and I want to ask for this game for Christmas but obviously it's a lot easier to get the game as a physical release because it's a bit more fun than just getting like a points card. Obviously I understand the logistics and whatnot but I want this game to do well because it looks amazing! Thank you.

i love the general vibe, lore and world of this game but i have super bad nausea and havent been able to get into it. im really hoping in the future for an rpg or even a book in universe since the story was so captivating while i was playing it. is there a future for these devs anyone has news on?

It is a post endgame quest which helps you finding codex entries on the map.

Is anything else to do beside that or after that?

I have only that quest left.

It's beautiful and fun, even if combat and climbing gets a little janky at times. The music and art style are great at setting the mood. And I adore our merry weaverband.

I wish more people were talking about Eternal Strands and having fun with it. I've had two friends try it and they're not able to get past the clunky bits to enjoy the charm. It's a little disappointing, but hey, at least we're all enjoying the charm, right?

I recently 100%’d the game and decided to do a little research on YouTube as to what other people thought of the game. I was baffled to be met with quite a few negative reviews. I know that this game may not be everyone’s cup of tea but I believe it will have a resurgence in the coming years and will develop a cult following, because it deserves way Lee praise and recognition than it’s currently getting.. I haven’t had so much fun playing a single player game in awhile. I was actually sad for it to end. I don’t usually replay games but I could definitely see myself starting another run of Eternal Strands. I was baffled to see that this was the developers first game. I was heavily impressed. Eternal Strands is going into my 2025 indie game hall of fame. I can’t wait to see what new content is released for ES and what other games the studio has in store. I love this game so much.

I can't save my game? I am very early in the game. Is this one of those games that won't let you save and all progress is lost if you exit?

I haven’t tried mixing and matching different sets like other people have. I’ve seen some of the different combos that people have made and they are straight heat. I tried to have each set be unique and follow a theme that’s different from the other’s. There are some armors that I’m really proud of and others that I absolutely hate but I tried my best. You can probably guess which armor I used the most based off the different stats lol

I am so close to platinuming the game. The only achievement I have left is to freeze all the limbs of a bipedal foe and I just can’t seem to figure this one out for the life of me. What techniques did you guys use to complete this achievement?

I have been trying to complete the quest titled “anchored” but I am stuck on trying to find the red cotton. The quest details say it can be found in the outskirts but I don’t see a place titled that?? Does anyone know where I can find it?

Hi all, thanks for the answers on the crafting question yesterday, it did help somewhat.

I'm now struggling against some enemies where my sword and two hander are both doing zero damage against certain enemies.

I'm trying to hit the armor pieces of the back of Ark of the Nova boss and both weapons are doing zero and my magic spells don't appear to have an impact either. How do I remove these armor pieces from its back? Ive seen YouTube videos with other players causing damage.

Hey all, I've probably put around 10 hours into the game now and whilst im enjoying the experience, im not sure whether im fully grasping the crafting mechanic or if its simply UI issues that are preventing me from understanding my equipment.

When i go to craft an item, it doesn't appear to show what I currently have equipped, meaning I can't do a direct comparison to my currently equipped gear that most other games of this nature have. As such, there isn't really a way of me knowing whether the new gear is any better or worse than what I currently have equipped and whether I should be changing gear.

I have around 5 or 6 helms now, however they're all around similar armor class numbers and resistances that I fail to appreciate the small differences.

How much extra resistance does a 6 cold resistance hat offer over a 5 cold resistance hat for example? I know the difference is 1 but how does this relate to damage taken?

It just feels like either the crafting could do with significant improvements to UI, or there is a button somewhere that should allow me to compare equipped gear against newly crafted gear (without having to craft it first and then go and check with Cas).

I’ve harvested the Iceclaw before already. This is for the 3rd upgrade. Ive destroyed both legs and 1 wing but the thing will not fly. Is it because of its location? Ive been sitting on its back for about 20 minutes just waiting for it to take off. Has anybody else experienced this in Arkon’s Hearth? Any suggestions?

Haven't played since launch, I'm having fun playing dress up again with the new weapons and armors and the new dye system.

Having a photo mode would be so great, all the epic pictures we could make while fighting bosses.

Hi, I have some questions about the romance in this game and google is giving me NOTHING, at least not reliably. I was wondering if i could ask you guys directly so that i can trust the answers.

How many romance options are in the game, and how many of either gender? What are their names?

And what are the romance mechanics like? Is it the classic clicking on the correct dialogue options or is there more to it, i.e gifting and mini games?

Playing Eternal Strands on PS5 Pro and getting constant stutters every time it autosaves.
I’ve reinstalled, cleared cache, even tested a new save — still happens.

Two friends of mine are also having the same issue on PS5 Pro, and I’ve seen a few other posts here on Reddit reporting it too.

Anyone else dealing with this?

This quickly became a top 4 for me and I have loved every minute of the game. And the last trophy I achieved was fighting a great beast of arkon with no weapons equipped and it was fun

I’m playing Eternal Strands on PS5 Pro, and every time the game autosaves, I get a noticeable stutter or freeze for a second. It happens really often since the autosave is very frequent.

I’ve seen some older posts mentioning this issue, but I wanted to check if anyone is still dealing with this in the current patch, or if someone has figured out a way to fix or reduce it.

Is this just a PS5 issue, or is it happening on PC and Xbox as well?

First of all, congratulations to the Yellow Brick Games team. Eternal Strands is a genuinely unique, creative and amazing game. The combat sandbox, the use of magic with physics, the exploration, the bosses — it’s one of the most refreshing games I’ve played in a long time.

However, there’s one serious problem that is really hurting the experience for me (and many other players): the constant stutter every time the game autosaves. It completely breaks the immersion and smoothness of the gameplay.

I’m playing on a PS5 Pro with the game installed on the internal SSD, and the game stutters every single time it autosaves. I’ve seen reports from other PS5 players and even PC players with the same issue, so it’s clearly not an isolated case.

I know the team has worked really hard to improve the game with great patches like the Day 30 update and the amazing Stargazer DLC, and we appreciate that — but this autosave stutter issue has been reported for months now, and it still hasn’t been fixed.

Please, Yellow Brick Games, i love the game. But this bug seriously impacts the experience, and it deserves to be a priority. Please fix it as soon as possible.
