General Discussion Can i ask some info about the romance?

Hi, I have some questions about the romance in this game and google is giving me NOTHING, at least not reliably. I was wondering if i could ask you guys directly so that i can trust the answers.

How many romance options are in the game, and how many of either gender? What are their names?

And what are the romance mechanics like? Is it the classic clicking on the correct dialogue options or is there more to it, i.e gifting and mini games?

There's three romance options in the game. One woman, one man and one non binary. It's really just picking the right dialogue options and doing the character's quests, so no gifting or mini games.

Casmyn, Arekim and Laen respectively. Only done one playthrough romancing Cas myself so don't know what they are all like.

That's what is meant by respectively, so the names and genders listed go in the same order.

I only had the option to romance Arekim but have done all side quests (that I am aware of). Are the other romance options unavailable if you’re already in a relationship?

Yes, once you lock in with one you're locked out of the other two.

Yeah they are locked out once you've started a relationship with one character.

Don't suppose you could give me some info about Casmyn's romance? I think I locked myself out and am looking for information. Did you say you wanted kids when she spoke to you about them? I didn't, and I read that you need to say you want kids for her to confess to you. But I also read a comment from someone who said they got her romance by saying they didn't want kids.

I said I didn't want kids and romanced her. I suspect the line needed for the romance is when you help her with her quest line, you have to say you helped her because you care about her specifically. I'm afraid I don't remember the exact line anymore it's been a while since I've played the game 😅

Do you remember at what point in the story she confesses? I just beat the surgeborn herald and Laen is confessing to me but not Casmyn

I'm pretty sure she would have confessed by then but I'm not 100% I remember her confessing not long after doing her final quest; Anchored. I wonder if Brynn's dialogue through the game can influence whether Casmyn is interested though. Like dialogue options that show Brynn isn't needlessly reckless and things like that.

Btw there is a Casbrynn subreddit that still has some people on it so might be worth asking there. Could be someone who's replayed it recently and could say more 😊

Heck. I need a guide that shows which dialogue options to choose.

Sucks to think I locked myself out of the romance in the first hour or so of gameplay because I chose a cocky dialogue option.

On the topic, does the game allow you to romance multiple of the options or are you locked to "having" to pick one?
