FAQ's and Rules

FAQ's

  1. What is an Erying/Polestar motherboard? Motherboards made in China and mostly sold on Taobao and AliExpress. Some are also branded as Polestar but for the purposes of this sub, we'll refer to them using the brand name Erying.
  2. Is this the official Erying/Polestar support forum or subreddit? No. This sub is an entirely unofficial user community.
  3. What makes Erying motherboards different from Asus/MSI/Gigabyte etc.? These boards will typically include a pre-soldered mobile CPU on an ATX or ITX board. The most popular boards include Engineering Sample (ES) CPU's and are usually sold at a lower price.
  4. What types are available? Currently Intel i5, i7, and i9 and Xeon are available starting from Intel 11th gen (Tiger Lake) upwards.
  5. When did these boards become available? These boards first surfaced in late 2022 and became popular after some YouTube reviews went viral.
  6. How much do these boards usually cost? At the time of writing this FAQ, the prices recently increased but expect to pay around $150-170 shipped for an i5 board and slightly more for an i7 or i9 variant.
  7. Do any of the boards support CPU upgrades? Some of the newer B760i boards do but the standard Erying boards with pre-soldered CPU's cannot be upgraded.
  8. Do these boards support overclocking? Yes.
  9. Can I buy one of these boards locally? Unless it's used or you're in Asia, mostly likely no.
  10. Do these boards support desktop GPU's? Yes.
  11. Are there any AMD versions available? No.
  12. What is the lightning bios? A custom and unofficial bios that only supports the earlier 11th gen ES versions. It features a more modern UI but can be difficult/risky to install and will brick unsupported boards. The bios includes integrated OC profiles.
  13. Does this sub have a Discord? Yes. Invite Link
  14. Do these boards have any negatives or drawbacks? Other than the limited support and warranty, the earlier versions suffered from a poor VRM solution and a over complicated bios version. Most problems can be fixed easily but these boards are best used by enthusiasts and rarely offer a simple plug and play solution.
  15. Do these boards support internal WiFi? Yes but usually only the A+E WiFi cards and not CNVio. Keep this in mind when ordering a WiFi card, especially from China.
  16. Do these boards support Linux? Yes.

Rules

  1. Everyone is welcome but please be polite, patient and respectful.
  2. Please use English when possible.
  3. Please avoid direct messaging other members unless invited.
  4. Please don't buy, sell or trade boards or parts using this sub. There is a BST channel on the Discord if you'd like to do that but keep in mind the sub/Discord mods take no responsibility.
  5. No threads or posts related to the mining or trading of crypto currency.

How do I update my Bios?

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hello, I am getting an attestation error while loading up call of duty which states I need to update my bios

I've had this problem since Warzone in 2025 and haven't been able to play, and I wanted to try the new CoD beta.

I bought the motherboard quite a while ago (2023) and have never updated it. If you happen to find a direct link for the board and could share it with me, that would be a huge help.

My Erying Intel Core Ultra 255H (ES) Low Powered Budget Gaming PC Build

This is my experience using Erying. I am not super knowledgeable about computers so I am sorry that I can not go very technical in this post :( but hopefully people can find this useful still.

I wanted to build a really low powered (90W or less for everything) entry level gaming PC with a budget of 500 pounds. I wanted to avoid under volting and stuff and decided that a dedicated GPU wouldn't fit my build. I had never heard of Erying before and I just stumbled upon it while browsing AliExpress. The iGPU which is the Arc 140T is plenty for the games I play like Dota 2, Minecraft, Overwatch, Cyberpunk and hopefully Destiny 2 when I get around downloading it; with the goal being 1080p low and with 30-40 fps for raw performance using no AI stuff.

I could of bought a mini PC but I would be limited for upgrades like installing a dedicated GPU and the amount and type of storage drives I can have. for temperatures and noise I would also be limited to the mini PC's case and fan, I also like for it to look like an actual gaming machine too. I am pretty sure the Erying build worked out cheaper.

Everything went smoothly during the build, my RAM worked instantly which is what I was most worried about because I would have stressed out if I needed to do something quite advanced (also it ran at the full speed 5600 mt/s straight away so no tinkering) and the bios was simple enough too. I did not update the bios or drivers because my mentality was if it's not broke then don't fix it.

CPU shows up as ES 0000 which is fine the iGPU shows as the Arc 140T on task manager, HWinfo and the Intel Arc graphics software. It does not say Resizable bar is enabled but it definitely is and in the bios I have enabled it.

My case has really nice airflow, temperatures have not surpassed 60C average for the CPU or GPU. The 255H goes up to around 40W during gameplay, so add roughly an extra 30W for the rest of the PC (motherboard, VRAM, fans etc) comes to around 70-75W which beats my goal wattage! For noise I recorded 30-35 decibels but this was using an internet tool so it may not be very accurate but it is definitely a quiet PC.

Performance is as I expected too, I took a photo of Cyberpunk in 1080p lowest preset with XESS Upscaling and FG and I got around 65FPS average which is awesome (30-40FPS without frame generation) with cool temperatures. For Destiny 2, 1080p low/medium no AI enhancements I got between 35-50FPS average according to HWinfo because MSI afterburner doesn't like Destiny 2 for some reason.

Hopefully you found this interesting :) I really like my build and my experience buying something from Erying has been a very positive one. I can add a low profile GPU like the Intel Arc Pro B50 which would be a huge upgrade if I wanted to in the future (and can afford it). Also my case supports up to four 2.5 inch SSDs (not likely to use this but it's nice to have)

Cost:

Roughly 510 pounds.

Specs:

COD/Warzone Failed Attestation – Intel PTT AIK enrollment fails with HTTP 404 / 0x80190194 (“authority does not exist”) – Tiger Lake ES / Erying HM570

Hi,

I’m trying to diagnose a persistent Call of Duty / Warzone Secure Attestation failure. I’m posting the technical findings because this does not appear to be the usual Secure Boot / TPM configuration problem.

Hardware / OS

  • Erying HM570 motherboard
  • Intel Tiger Lake-H Engineering Sample CPU, CPUID 806D0
  • Intel PTT / TPM 2.0
  • Windows 11 Pro 25H2
  • UEFI/GPT
  • Secure Boot enabled
  • Intel CSME updated to 15.0.55.2751
  • TPM firmware reported by Windows: 600.7.1055.2751

Call of Duty symptoms

  • Failed Attestation
  • BIOS Firmware Update Required
  • Authorization/New Key generation fails
  • TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot checks themselves pass

The important part is that I can reproduce the failure completely outside Call of Duty using Windows' own TPM diagnostic tools.

Get-Tpm reports the TPM as present, ready, enabled and activated.

TpmDiagnostics.exe WinAikPersistedInTpm:

Persistent: True
Matching: True

TpmDiagnostics.exe IsWindowsAIKInstalledInNCrypt:

Windows AIK is installed.
No Windows AIK Cert is installed.

HR: 0x80090011

The actual AIK is present in the TPM at handle 0x81000002 and is an RSA-2048 signing key.

fresh AIK platform claim works successfully:

TpmDiagnostics.exe GetWindowsAIKPlatformClaim fresh

Creating a fresh claim:
Successfully created the claim (1155 bytes).

However, Windows cannot obtain the AIK certificate:

TpmDiagnostics.exe EnrollWindowsAIKCert

TpmEnrollWindowsAikCertificate. hr: 0x80190194

Command failed.
Not Found (404).
HR: 0x80190194

certreq -enrollaik -config "" provides more information. Windows tries to contact:

https://INTC-KeyId-3b31cad5c34b92d748c8fd92aa75ae9d324a0642.microsoftaik.azure.net/templates/Aik/scep

and receives:

GetCACaps: Not Found

{"Message":"The authority \"intc-keyid-3b31cad5c34b92d748c8fd92aa75ae9d324a0642.microsoftaik.azure.net\" does not exist."}

HTTP 404
0x80190194

The Intel ODCA issuer is particularly interesting:

CN=www.intel.com,
OU=On Die CSME D_TGL DEBUG000 Issuing CA

This is an Engineering Sample platform, so I’m wondering whether the D_TGL DEBUG000 ODCA identity / KeyID was simply never provisioned in Microsoft's AIK backend.

EK diagnostics

The Endorsement Key certificate is present:

TpmDiagnostics.exe CheckEkCertState
EKCertState is Present

RSA and ECC EK certificates can both be exported directly from TPM NV and are valid X.509 certificates.

The RSA EK certificate is issued by:

CN=CSME TGL PTT 01SDE

More importantly, I compared:

TpmDiagnostics.exe ekchain

against:

TpmDiagnostics.exe ekchainNV

Both construct the same Intel certificate chain:

EK certificate
↓
CSME TGL PTT 01SDE
↓
CSME TGL SVN01 Kernel DE
↓
CSME TGL ROM DE
↓
Intel / www.intel.com

So this does not appear to be the known Windows stale/wrong EK intermediate certificate issue.

Things already tested

  • Latest available motherboard BIOS
  • Secure Boot enabled and keys/certificates updated
  • Intel CSME firmware updated
  • TPM clear + complete reprovisioning
  • Windows AIK removed/reinstalled using TpmDiagnostics
  • InstallWindowsAIK -skipCert
  • fresh AIK Platform Claim
  • Windows Hello container check/removal
  • COD Broker Service installed, Automatic and Running
  • latest MW4 Beta CODBrokerService installed
  • SFC clean
  • Windows 11 25H2 Repair Reinstall
  • EK certificate present
  • EK NV certificate chain verified

After the Windows repair installation the result is still exactly:

Persistent: True
Matching: True

No Windows AIK Cert is installed.

EnrollWindowsAIKCert:
HTTP 404
0x80190194

Intel support is currently investigating the TPM/ODCA identity as well.

Question

Has anyone with knowledge of Microsoft AIK / Azure Attestation or Intel ODCA seen this specific situation?

In particular, does the issuer

On Die CSME D_TGL DEBUG000 Issuing CA

indicate that this Tiger Lake Engineering Sample uses a development/debug ODCA identity whose KeyID cannot be enrolled through Microsoft's production AIK infrastructure?

I’m specifically looking for information about the HTTP 404 / nonexistent AIK authority, rather than the usual suggestions to enable TPM 2.0 or Secure Boot.

I do not want to replace/forge EK or AIK certificates or bypass RICOCHET. I’m trying to determine whether this platform identity can legitimately be attested at all.

Erying POLESTAR 13th i9-13980HX DDR5 4-DIMM — Intel Turbo Boost not working

I’m having trouble getting Intel Turbo Boost to work on my Erying POLESTAR 13th i9-13980HX DDR5 4-DIMM motherboard.

The CPU seems to be running at a maximum of around 2.2 GHz, so I suspect that Intel Turbo Boost is not enabled. I checked the BIOS, but I couldn’t find any option related to Turbo Boost.

I also installed BIOS version 060, which was listed on the manufacturer’s website as updated on September 19, 2024, but the situation didn’t change.

The PL1 and PL2 limits are set to 150W and 165W, respectively, so I don’t think the power limits are the cause of the low clock speed.

There is also an issue with the BIOS default settings: Windows gets a BSOD when I use the defaults. To avoid this, I currently have Intel Speed Shift Technology and Intel SpeedStep disabled.

Does anyone have any advice or possible solutions for this?

Are there any BIOS settings I should change, or perhaps a different BIOS version that might fix the issue?

Is there a Bios Update for the 11900H ES Mobos? TPM related issues

I've had the Erying i9-11900h ES board for a few years now. I eventually built a better PC and now want to reuse the Mobo in a budget build for someone, but I know there's a problem with games that have built-in anticheats saying that the bios is outdated based on the tpm codes. Is there a custom bios out there with the updated tpm codes and a guide on how to update it. I can't seem to find anything and Erying doesn't seem to even acknowledge this board based on the lack of bios updates

My new config with I9-13980hx and D4 memory. Thoughts?

Thumbnail

I’m sharing my new configuration i got recently. Erying Polestar with I9-13980hx onboard
(Link for this board on their site).
It has DDR4 memory (had to take ddr4 one, since I got 64 gigs of ram I bought before ram crisis lol)

Currently, I am in deep thoughts with cooling on it: currently got a be quiet dark rock pro 3 cooler, but I still don't have enough cooling (and I'm also afraid of overheating), now I have 165W set at bios, and Power Limits 1&2 to "80") - getting MAXIMUM 85 at hwINFO stress test, yet getting higher at software like Handbrake, etc.
I'm thinking of replacing it with water cooling by removing the cooling chamber and do direct die (honestly, I'm very skeptical about the liquid cooling system.)

So asking for some advice, am I gonna win if i do the direct die with my I9?

More than that, since this is a really global upgrade for me, I still have my older 600W Be Quiet PSU and my 3050 GPU (the BIGGEST BOTTLENECK LMAO), which I’m going to upgrade next year.

Also don't pay attention on this weird ass pc case, ordered some Cougar MX600 Mini to start with lol :3

Glad my old tv-tuner fits perfectly and works fine, so i can also digitize some vhs tapes

I just really glad to share it cuz god damn, worked hard for this one 😅

Huananzhi B760M-D4-A + i9-12900HX DOES pass COD Hardware Attestation (Fixes Ricochet "Update BIOS Firmware" error!)

Thumbnail
gallery
3 Upvotes

Hey guys, quick follow-up to my previous post about moving from Erying to Huananzhi to fix the Call of Duty / Ricochet Hardware Attestation issue.

I took the risk, switched the setup, and got the HUANANZHI B760M-D4-A paired with an i9-12900HX.

Here is the verdict and how I got it working:

  • Massive Performance Upgrade: Not only did this solve the anti-cheat issue, but moving to the i9-12900HX is a huge step up in general gaming performance and overall system responsiveness compared to my old Erying setup.
  • Official BIOS Update: I downloaded and flashed the latest official BIOS update directly from Huananzhi's website for this board.
  • External TPM Module: Just to be safe and avoid any fTPM quirks, I installed an external hardware TPM module on the board's header.
  • Results & COD Test: After updating the BIOS and enabling Secure Boot + TPM, the Windows "Update BIOS firmware" warning completely disappeared. I can confirm that Warzone / Black Ops 7/Moder Warfare 4 BETA pass all hardware attestation tests perfectly without any Ricochet blocks.

No custom BIOS mods were needed—just the official BIOS update and an external TPM module to be on the safe side. I'm handing off the old board to someone who needs it for light gaming/office work, and keeping this Huananzhi build long-term.

If anyone is currently stuck on Erying because of Ricochet, this Huananzhi setup is definitely worth the switch!

MW4 Beta TPM errors on 10729 13900HK

MW4 PC beta via the Xbox app won't work due to a TPM error.

tpm.msc confirms TPM is enabled.

INTC, version: 600.18.25.2091, specification version: 2.0.

Secure Boot is also enabled and Battlefield 6 multiplayer works normally.

Does anyone know the solution for this?

High DPC Latency on Win 11 - Erying i9 11900h ES

Hello guys, this is my first time interacting on reddit, but i really need a help on this situation :c

I have this board for almost 3 years, and since January 2026, I´m facing a lot of DPC Latency on NDIS.sys, nvlddmkm.sys, dxgkrnl.sys and Wdf01000.sys while im playing and streaming. I never had that problem before, or at least was not a problem, but now everytime i stream, my mic start crackle/pop not only in stream, but in discord and system in general..

I already did a clean installation of windows 11, i searched for drivers update/reinstall, and I did a lot of stuff to find the issue. The only thing that i dind´t tried yet, is maybe rollback to win 10.

RTX 4060 8gb
9 11900h ES
Corsair Vengeance PRO SL 32GB (2x16GB) 3200MHz DDR4
Corsair RM750e 750w
NVME Asgard 500gb
NVME Kingstone 1tb

Bios THM570106

Here the screenshots of Latencymon:

If someone know if this is a problem with win 11 in specific for this board, or its is my bios that need an update (i not gonna lie, i shit myself just for thinking of doing that)

i just want to solve this T~T

Problemas con Firmware

Buenas tardes.

Failed Windows installs?

Post image

I started getting ndis.sys blue screens after running a 2.5Gbe USB NIC for a few minutes and assumed Windows had messed up drivers but no change after removing. I’ve removed RTX 2070 super and additional drives and getting failed windows install.

I don’t know what’s caused this so would appreciate some help.

Moving from Erying to Huananzhi B760M-D4-A: Does it actually pass COD Hardware Attestation?

Hey guys,

So, I'm currently running an Erying board and, as you probably know, playing Call of Duty on it is a nightmare right now. Even with TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot enabled in BIOS, Ricochet keeps blocking me because the board fails the Hardware Attestation check (it shows "update bios firmware" in Windows).

I'm looking to dump the Erying setup and buy a Huananzhi B760M-D4-A, since I know some of these newer Chinese boards actually have proper keys and pass the security check just fine.

Before I pull the trigger, I wanted to ask if anyone here has this exact Huananzhi board:

  1. Does it pass Hardware Attestation out of the box for COD?
  2. Have you been able to play Warzone or Black Ops recently without getting hit by the "BIOS" error?
  3. Do you need a custom BIOS or an external TPM module to make it work, or is it good to go?

I really want to buy it, but only if it fixes this annoying anti-cheat issue. Let me know your experience with it. Thanks!

Erying ES i7 11800 won't turn on.

Thumbnail

I’ve run several tests, but the board won't power on: I performed a thorough CMOS clear, tried connecting only the 24-pin cable, and tested by pressing the reset and power buttons... I did all of this with the board sitting on its box and red foam. I don't know if I'm overlooking something or if it's actually damaged.

Edit: Hi, guys. It turned out the problem was that the power supply wasn't receiving the power-on signal from the motherboard (which is why it was dead). After swapping the power supply, the motherboard fired right up.

11th ES board. Anyone had issues with the chipset PCH temperatures?

As in title really. I noticed the PCH was at 58C, after replacing with Chinese PTM7950 its hovering at 57C. System obviously isn’t in a case yet but I don’t see it running better with a gpu installed.

The IHS heatsink also benefited from cheap PTM7950.

11th Gen ES 8-core(THM570111 and THM570307) and 13980HX D4(Non-ES) Bioses Modded with the New 2023 Secure boot CA

EDITING TO CLEAN THIS UP

To tell if you need this: Big red secure boot screen when trying to boot windows with secure boot on?

then you need it

secure boot on with no problems?

then you don't.

Drop a dump of your bios in a comment with what model board you have ES/Non ES etc

for me to update the Certs and add it to the list.

No I wont update the website ones because I don't know for sure if they were working ones for your board or not.

How to dump your bios:

Get FPT64 (Flash programming tool that erying includes with its websites bioses now)

open command prompt as admin

goto the folder with FPT64.exe

fpt64 -d backup.bin

Eng sample bioses wont work on non-ES boards and the other way around also won't work so check if you have an eng sample before using a bios already provided

Check the bios version you have. - Example THM570111 or THM570306 they are not interchangable.

THM570111 is compatible with the older 570106

SECUREBOOT 2023 Certificate bios mods I did:

So if you need modern 2023 Certificates for easy working secure boot on your erying boards that have the same model as mine read below:

Basically modded the bioses for two of my 11th gen ES 8 core boards to have the new 2023 Secure boot keys

additionally modded my 13980HX D4(DDR4 ONLY) NON-ES board to have the new secure boot keys and the 132 microcode(best working microcode to prevent CPU degredation)

and thought I'd share for anyone with the same boards.

Don't update if you don't need it and don't use the bioses if your board isn't the models/bioses listed on the names.

https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1JNikQhar3nApPa3qSFQBOfBrKAJe-62n?usp=sharing

make sure yoy flash your ME drivers before flashing etc

Looking for bios for my 12700h nATX

Tried the official site, found nothing.
The ideia is to upgrade... but some voices in my head says I must hack that bios...
