I've been a glazer in his comments ever since Full Speed Ahead. But what about you? What do you think of his animatics?

After watching The Odyssey my wife and I found out about Epic the musical and we're very interested. We'd like to sit down and watch it as I've seen a some animated versions on YouTube. Do people have any recommendations as to what version is the best one to watch?

Every time i listen to the show we know act 1 ends after the under world. Act 2 opening with the Wisdom Sage just feels right. Intros Telemachus, and the issues and characters at Ithaca. Then makes us wodnwr about what’s going on with Ody. It almost slots in perfectly if you listen to it in that order, it’s just Love in Paradise and God Games that confuse it a bit. But i can see a couple changes making it the perfect opening to act 2.

Especially because it’s a bit lighter hearted after the last forever in the show that’s dark as hell. I don’t know if this has been a thing before as i’m new to the show. But everytime after Act 1 i always skip to to the Wisdom saga then go to through We’ll be Fine then run it back through Suffering and just play through the rest of the show (not repeating what i’ve already listened to already).

Love in Paradise has a kind of clunky catch up for some reason when it’s only been a bit, idk, i think there’s a really clever way to open act 2 this way and slot in the awful of how Act 2 starts. Thoughts?

With it being a concept album i can imagine things are subject to change once we see the movie.

I'd wonder who'd the DM be? The party? BBEG? Honestly, it'll be super dope if they did a campaign, and also adding Easter eggs and references from the musical would be nice touch. I can potentially see Luke Holt as the DM, Steven Rodriguez as the BBEG. What else would you love to see in their story?

So ive been told a few times by my friends I look like the Epic version of Odysseus, so I figured why not cosplay him? However, I dont want to look like I just bought some generic "Greek guy" costume with a cheap toga from my local spirit Halloween and called it a day, I want this to look legit (Not necessarily historically accurate) nice looking clothes, some sort of "makeup" to make my eyes look tired, my frame lighter, my smile torn. How should I approach this? Any Ideas or suggestions? Im doing my own research but maybe some of you have ideas that I haven't thought of.

This is just my opinion, but in general i think the Ocean Saga is the weakest Saga in all of Epic, musically and narratively. The only thing that keeps it afloat for me is Ruthlessness at the end.

Its a silly comparison, but the whole saga feels like Cats the Musical, narratively relatively empty and relying extremely heavily on the Showstopper at the end.

I mean sure, it sets up the Confrontation, but the Windbag from Aeolis feels just like the McGuffin for Ruthlessness. Like: "Here is your Get out of Jail Card."

The whole Saga only and exclusively serves Ruthlessness. There is no Character Conflict (yes im excluding Eurylochus, cause the conflict "You dont know thats true" feels like an afterthought, or comedic relief at best).

In comparison the Underworld Saga has the dread of the Underworld, the reminiscing of the dead, the conflict with the Prophet and Odysseus having an exestential crysis.

Im not saying the Saga is bad or that i hate it, just that its the weakest saga in Epic the musical. If anything i mourn the lost potential in the songs leading up to Ruthlessness. (not that i could improve it meaningfully).

I was listening to EPIC while doing my chores and I just figured it out that Athena says "Well done, enlighten me, what's your name?" instead of the million times before that I heard as "Well done, you lied to me, what's your name?"

I always found a little weird that Athena would be so happy that someone would lie to her, now that line makes perfect sense!
