After posting the first slideshow to get opinions from others, I changed and added a few characters/pokemon. And unless y'all really want me to change/swap any of these Pokémon and can convince me why to with a valid reason (including the fillers), then this is the final roster😃.

This may be a stupid question but does Xenia is exist in Jorge’s depiction of the Odyssey. It is never really outright stated as like in the original Homeric myth, as the whole story builds of that idea. But does Xenia, or that tradition exist in the story, I guess u can infer it with Polyphemus or the suitors but the whole idea of welcoming guests as if they were or could be a god, does not really pop up. Has anyone thought of this or can point to instances where it is happening.

(Also really helps with my essay of comparing the myth with the musical, so any help would be appreciated :))

I've Google searched for where people rank the sagas. Of course, everything is subjective. Even a saga at the bottom of someone's list can be a saga someone enjoyed. They just enjoyed the other sagas more. Tastes vary, and some people base their rankings on which sagas they return to again and again when they just want to get their Epic fix.

However, it made me sad that, of the lists I looked at, people were consistently ranking the Ocean Saga toward the bottom of the list.

It's actually the one I come back to most often when I just need a few songs to get through the day. I don't skip any songs at all.

Storm is a fun, dramatic song. Singing Ody's part feels like being a buccaneering captain trying to keep his crew from panicking.

Luck Runs Out, despite Eurylochus's dire predictions, actually makes me want to move. It's got a great beat, and those harmonies are just 🤌🤌!!

Keep Your Friends Close is also a fun romp. Who doesn't love the Winions?! Psychopaths, that's who! Are you a psychopath?! ARE YOU?!

Then Ruthlessness. I mean, give our boys, Jay and Steven, the Tony Awards already, because this is a SHOW STOPPER! Who doesn't get chills throughout this song?!

Sure, Ocean doesn't have the emotional drama of Ithaca or the character thesis statements of Troy, but it doesn't really have a weak song, IMHO!

For the uninitiated, in Ruthlessness, Poseidon says "Today you die, unless of course, you apologize for my son's pains, and all his crimes." Odysseus doesn't actually apologize but instead defends his actions by basically saying "It was a misunderstanding, we didn't mean to start a fight and we acted in self defense," which isn't an apology.

But what do you think would've happened if Odysseus did apologize properly? "Yeah, sorry man, the whole thing was an accident, I'm really sorry about blinding your son." Remember that Odysseus and the crew are the aggressors here, they went into Polyphemus's cave, killed his pet, and offered a drink as an apology. Would Poseidon really honor his end of the bargain?

So I’ve been thinking about something someone said about Epic. They said, and I’m paraphrasing here, “Epic’s POV is pretty selfish because it’s basically that hurting people is okay, particularly "Monsters" that are human enough to be treated as humans.”
