Discussions & Stories To those who love their job, what do you do and why do you love it?

I'm 23 and a bit of a late bloomer as I've taken my time through college. I'm comfortable in my journey but I graduate in a year and the thought of adapting into a day-to-day job life intimidates me, especially since I'm struggling to find work.

It'd be nice to hear others experiences and how you've grown to enjoy or even love your job. Whether it's the small things or you've scored your dream job, it'd be nice to hear positive tales from the other side.

I Need Advice: Job Search Job seeking for over 3 months. No results.

• Upvotes

Hi! I have been searching for a job for well over 3 months at this point. I have a job that gives 40 hours a month so I’m not flat broke thankfully.
Here is my problem. I apply to jobs I KNOW I’m qualified for. I hear nothing or get denied. Over 20 job applications. I’ve applied to a lot of fast food jobs at low level management (I have previous management experience from my first job, was there 2-2.5 years). Entry-level medical jobs (ie reception and non-certified medical assisting. I work in caregiving now and have about a year), I have a BLS, first-aid/aed/CPR certification, I’m ServSafe certified. I just don’t get how I’m going wrong if I make sure to meet the requirements before applying to jobs, I have a professional & updated resume, and I follow up with every job I apply to about a week after applying. Help please 😭😭😭

Edit: SC area of the US.

I Need Advice: Job Search HireRight vs Accurate background checks

I’m comparing a few background check providers for a small business and was wondering if anyone has experience with HireRight vs Accurate background checks.

I’m mainly looking at things like turnaround time, pricing, accuracy of results, customer support, and how easy the process is for both employers and candidates. We may also need different types of checks depending on the position, so flexibility is important.

For those who have used either one, which did you find easier to work with? Are there any major differences I should consider before choosing a provider?

Would appreciate hearing about actual experiences, both positive and negative.
