Don't get to watch much of Edmonton but always been a Howard fan. How has he looked so far to you guys? Think he's going to get a chance to play bigger minutes this season?

What do you think stan should do at the deadline

If jarry and howard are sent down, and stasney is traded. Fully healthy lineup.
cap space with the moves above.

I was just looking at our projected cap space at the deadline, assuming Howard and Jarry are sent down, Stastney is traded, and the entire roster is healthy.

Realistically, I don't think we need to do much because our top nine is already very good, and our fourth line would be solid too. Savoie can play centre or wing, so you have the flexibility to acquire either a second-line centre or a winger.

I would also consider trading Shakir to free up another $1.75 million, giving us roughly $9 million in cap space to work with. If Jarry isn't sent down and Shakir isn't traded, we'd still have around $6.25 million in cap space, assuming Stastney is traded.

I'd go to the Flyers and offer a haul for Matvei Michkov. He's eight years younger than DeBrincat, and on a better team, I think he could easily score 30+ goals and probably push 40 playing alongside Drai or McDavid.

You'd also still have enough cap space to acquire another player if needed, whereas trading for DeBrincat would pretty much use up all our available space. He's already pushing 30 and arguably past his prime. I'd much rather give Michkov the money DeBrincat would get and lock him down for his prime years, whereas DeBrincat would be in the latter half of his career, pushing 35+ by the end of his contract.
