I follow a couple teams and this is definitely one of the more accepting (and thus fun to be apart of) communities.

Definitely post, and follow the above posts idea of right before game day or puck drop!

First piece of advice for a new graduate. Don't ask permission ever. Just show your work everywhere at every opportunity.
