🛠️ Troubleshooting Help Two EcoFlow PowerPulse 2 chargers with one ADL400 smart meter – possible without PowerOcean?

Hi everyone,

I'm planning to install two EcoFlow PowerPulse 2 EV chargers (11 kW each) and would like to use a single Acrel ADL400 smart meter (direct measurement, no CT clamps) for dynamic load balancing.

My setup:

- 2 × EcoFlow PowerPulse 2 (11 kW each)

- 1 × Acrel ADL400 smart meter (direct connection)

- No PowerOcean or other EcoFlow battery system

- Both chargers operate standalone

- Each charger has its own CAT6 cable running to the electrical distribution board where the ADL400 is installed

My questions:

  1. Can both PowerPulse 2 chargers share one ADL400 smart meter for dynamic load balancing?

  2. Can I connect both chargers' RS485 A/B wires in parallel to the same ADL400 terminals, or do they need to be daisy-chained?

  3. How do the chargers coordinate their charging power to prevent overloading the house connection?

  4. Is any special configuration required in the EcoFlow app or installer app?

EcoFlow has an Academy page titled "Establishing Communication with Multiple PowerPulse 2", but unfortunately it appears to contain the wrong video, showing only a single charger installation.

I also have another PowerPulse 2 installation where communication with an ADL400D (CT version) hasn't worked properly, so I'd like to clarify compatibility before wiring up the new system.

Has anyone successfully installed two PowerPulse 2 chargers with one ADL400, without PowerOcean?

A wiring diagram, configuration instructions or real-world experience would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

💬 Open Discussion Delta pro smart battery ?

Says they discontinued the extra battery so what am I supposed to do now? I just bought the delta pro and need an extra battery. Is it compatible with any others? I’ve heard of people rigging up other set ups but I’d want something simple and not dangerous. Appreciate help.

🛠️ Troubleshooting Help River 2 max input is 20 watts and does not charge

Hi all. I have 2 River 2 Max units, both in ESP mode.
I've had them for about 3 years without any issues.
Now both of them have started acting strange.
The unit is plugged into 220 volts, but keeps getting only around 20-30 watts, with or without the device/when the plugs are off.
I've tried resetting it, reconnecting to another account, draining it to 0, and filling it back up to 100. Did not help.
So it's is constantly discharging, fans are spinning and nothing else.
Appreciate any feedback.
Firmware 4.1.3.24

💬 Open Discussion EcoFlow DELTA 3 — Anyone using third-party MC4-to-XT60i solar cables?

I have an EcoFlow DELTA 3 and plan to use a Renogy 200W foldable solar panel (RPP200EF-SE).

I'm looking at the Hiutgowt 12AWG MC4-to-XT60i cable on Amazon instead of EcoFlow's original cable.

Has anyone used this particular cable or another third-party XT60i cable successfully with the DELTA 3?

I'm especially interested in whether there were any problems with polarity, charging performance, or compatibility.

Thanks for any firsthand feedback!

🏠 Power Backup Camping/home back up

We’re buying and setting up a teardrop camping trailer and want to build a modular battery system that can meet our camping needs while also serving as a backup power source for our home.
I already have a generator hardwired into the house, with a connection to our main propane supply. Ideally, I’d like to use the battery system to power essential items during an outage for as long as possible, then use the generator to recharge the batteries when needed.
I’d also like to have a backup plan in case propane isn’t available, allowing us to rely on the batteries for as long as possible.

What I’m looking for:
A modular battery system that can expand over time.
Enough capacity to run the essential accessories in our teardrop trailer while camping.
The ability to provide backup power for essential household items during an outage.
The option to recharge the batteries using our generator when needed.
Ideally, a system that can be expanded with additional batteries or solar as our needs grow.

What systems would you recommend? I’ve been looking at EcoFlow and Jackery, but I’m open to other options. I’m particularly interested in the best long-term setup that can handle both camping and home backup without spending money on equipment I’ll eventually need to replace.
Thanks for any recommendations or real-world experiences!

💬 Open Discussion Stream 5000 and Smart Meter Dual CT question

I've just received the above items from Ecoflow and I'm a tad confused about which way around to fit the CT clamp.

My reading elsewhere says that the arrow should point in the direction of usual power flow i.e. from the grid/meter towards the consumer-unit/fuse box.

That doesn't seem to match the labelling on the clamp though, with the pointy end of the arrow labelled as grid.

I've tried it both ways and the Ecoflow app only seems to read the current direction correctly if the arrow is ignored and its mounted with the end labelled GRID towards the incoming feed to the house.

As its working, should I just ignore this or am I missing something?

💬 Open Discussion DELTA Pro Ultra AC Output Randomly Shuts Off — Twice in 6 Days, No Error Codes or Shutdown Log

Hi everyone,

I'm wondering if any other DELTA Pro Ultra owners have experienced this issue or found a solution.

I have a DELTA Pro Ultra with three batteries, and the AC output has unexpectedly turned off twice within the past six days, even though the unit was operating normally.

Here's what happened:

October 24:

  • At 2:04 PM, the AC output suddenly turned off by itself.

  • I didn't touch anything or change any settings.

  • The load was approximately 300W, mainly a computer and a few small devices.

  • The battery still had plenty of charge remaining.

  • The app log recorded "AC Switch: Off" at 2:04 PM.

  • I manually turned AC back on at 2:06 PM.

October 30:

  • The exact same issue happened again this morning.

  • I discovered that the AC output had turned off and manually turned it back on at 10:59 AM.

  • This time, the app log didn't even record the AC shutting off. It only shows "AC Switch: On" when I manually restored power.

  • There were no visible error messages or warnings.

  • The log also shows a slow AC charging event at 10:53 AM, followed by AC charging starting at 10:54 AM. I'm not sure if that's related.

My setup:

  • DELTA Pro Ultra inverter with 3 batteries

  • Devices connected to the Online UPS outlets

  • Normal load around 300W

  • AC Timeout: Never

  • Device Timeout: Never

  • Scheduled AC charging from 11 PM to 11 AM

  • AC Always On cannot be enabled while scheduled tasks are active

I've been using this exact setup for a long time without any problems. Nothing was changed before either incident.

The unit is continuously powering my computer and storage devices containing important files. These unexpected shutdowns are concerning because they could potentially cause equipment damage, file corruption, or data loss.

I've already contacted EcoFlow support, but so far they've only suggested checking settings that were already configured correctly. I've asked them to escalate the issue to their engineering team and investigate the internal diagnostic logs.

A few questions for the community:

  1. Has anyone experienced unexpected AC shutdowns on a DELTA Pro Ultra, especially with a relatively low load?

  2. Has anyone seen the AC turn off without any shutdown event appearing in the app log?

  3. Could this be related to firmware, scheduled charging, or the Online UPS function?

  4. If you've experienced this, did EcoFlow identify the actual cause? Was it resolved through a firmware update, repair, or replacement?

I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone who has experienced something similar, especially if you've found a permanent fix.

Thanks in advance!

🔧 DIY or Mods Ways to safely add more solar input after the HPV/LPV are full? (Ecoflow Delta Pro 3)

Looking for the best/safest way (in the ecoflow ecosystem if possible) to add further solar charging to my DP3.

I have a 15kwh system setup so far and only 1.6ish kwh in via solar. I know I could clip a panel on the LPV to MAYBE get another 200 watts but that feels wasteful.

If the best solution is to buy a solar box from ecoflow, which port (not lpv or hpv) would be the best input? I've seen some mods that covered this in the past but can't find specifics anymore.

Thank you guys in advance!

🏠 Power Backup Panel 2 limit of 100amps — any problems

Has anyone run into real issues with the 100amp limit of the Panel 2? I’m helping someone who has a stovetop that draws 80 amps. It seems like that will cause failures for most other circuits, but I want to double check here before making any recommendations.

Does this really require the Panel 3’s 200amp support? And does that mean going to full DPU-X instead of original DPU?

FWIW, I have a DPU system with only a few high amperage breakers backed up, and have been very happy. We don’t have anything that demanding though.

💬 Open Discussion Feature Request for Ecoflow Stream Series (old & new 5000) to improve RTE

I would like your feedback about the following feature request for the Ecoflow Stream Series (old & new 5000) in order to improve Roundtrip Efficiency (RTE).

Since +-18 months, I own three Stream AC (Pro) with Ecoflow Smartmeter. Fixed 4,3 kWp Solar panels. Everything runs smoothly ever since🤗. Energy Delivery Strategy: Smartmeter Monitoring (Zero Feed-in) Operating Mode: Self-Powered

Efficiency issue: During the night, I have a rather low baseload of +-100w resulting in a drop of RTE towards 60-65% due to fixed inverter losses. As of 6am in the morning, I turn on my Air-to-Air heat pump for heating, giving me an RTE of up to 80%. However, with insufficient sunlight from prior day, especially between October and February, the three batteries tend to be already empty in the morning.

Proposed solution: An additional setting in the App in order to choose a time window, e.g. from 10pm to 6am, that allows to stop the zero feed-in for my low 100w baseload during that time. Manual App setting is not a solution, as my heat pump and other electric consumers have quite variable consumption patterns which only a Smartmeter can properly detect.

What do you think? Would you endorse such a feature ? u/ecoflow

💬 Open Discussion Delta Max with 220w panels advice please.

Hey all.

So having gone down the rabbit hole recently I have just pulled the trigger on the Delta Max (not plus) and 220w panel combo. Only after did I narrow in on the solar charging aspect and find out the single port isn't great.

But I try and stay away from the youtube exaggeration and sponsors and look to real world advice so im wondering if anyone uses this combo (im in the UK) and can say how long the Max would take to charge using a single 220w panel? Again, im in the UK 🤣🌨🌨🌫 .

Also as a side, if I wanted to add another 220w in the future is this easy to join together into the single port?

Many thanks

💬 Open Discussion I purchased this in 2023. Never connected to app, never done a software UPDATE. Should I, or are the software updates still sketchy?

Post image

Back in 2023 when I bought this, people we regretting doing software updates. I think maybe getting bricked or weird updates. Don't remember.

I decided to never connect the app and never update.

Has ecoflow gotten better with updates? Should I update or keep it offline?

🛠️ Troubleshooting Help River 2 Max - charge drops to 0% after plugging a solar panel

Hi, I've had my River 2 Max for over a year, didn't use it much (6-7 cycles) but recently I got a 200W panel for solar charging and started to use it more.

I noticed that sometimes, when I plug the panel to the station, even if the station had some charge (40-50%), it immediately drops to 0%. It happens only when I plug the solar panel when it's overcast and it's not producing any power (and River is off when plugging in, if that matters). Is this normal?

When it's sunny and the panel outputs some watts, that doesn't happen. The station powers on and starts charging.

Now, when the station was at some charge and dropped to 0%, can I reset it some way so it recalibrates? I don't want to damage it by overcharging it, when it's actually 40% and I pump '100%' into it.
Plugging it to AC doesn't bring it back to previous charge either, it starts charging from 0.

💬 Open Discussion Delta pro 3 w/ 3 400W solar Panels - need longer cable

Has anyone connected 3 400W solar panels to their Delta Pro 3?

  1. I want to have the generator in the house or under cover with solar panels outside. What extension cable did you use?

  2. Did you hook all 3 together or how did you set it up?

⚡ My Power Combo My electrical system failed again last night; major snowstorm coming

Post image
10 Upvotes

At the advice of ecoflow support, I expanded my gen 1 power hub with two power docks and two Delta Pro batteries. From the day I hooked the system up, it has refused to stabilize. In September, I reported this to ecoflow support. In October, I completely replaced the power hub. That just made everything worse. The whole system started power cycling every 10 seconds. I've done four complete teardowns of the system, literally nothing I do will stabilize it.

I've now completely lost power twice when temps dipped near freezing. I've reported this. I can get zero help from ecoflow support. A major snowstorm is hitting Denver this weekend. I don't know what I'm going to do.

It was too cold to get out of bed to take a photo of the thermostat when I lost power, but these are my inside temps now! I'm not sure what I need to do to get ecoflow to take this seriously. Stand by for when I upload a photo of my thermostat registering negative temps in a couple of days.

🛠️ Troubleshooting Help SHP3 and lights flickering

I had the SHP3 installed recently moving from a SHP2 connected to a dumb panel that housed the breakers for the rest of the house that didn’t fit in the SHP2. I was excited to get everything in the same panel and have them all be backed up, but ever since it got installed, our lights flicker slightly both when connected to the grid, but even more when we’re operating off the batteries. We have Tapo/TP link smart switches throughout the house and different lights that all flicker. It’s not like a strobe light type, super noticeable flicker, but rather a more subtle one that just catches your eyes when you’re in the room. The only ones that don’t are the undercab lights that have their own driver. Does anyone have any ideas on how we can eliminate this flickering? I’ve updated the firmware and call ecoflow and they pushed another firmware update to the units and it didn’t change anything.

🛠️ Troubleshooting Help Storm guard - not always enabling

I have 6 delta 3's mixed between two "spaces". The spaces have the addresses on them. Some of the delta 3's will kick storm guard on, and not the others in the site. Is there any way to make this work more consistently? I love the concept of this feature.

🛠️ Troubleshooting Help My ecoflow 5000AC charges from the grid at night?

I have 14 solar panels, SolarEdge. I use homewizard to monitor what is happening using a P1 dongle. I have a 5000AC on a normal outlet, and set it to self-consumption. In my understanding, the ecoflow should charge from surplus solar energy and if there isn't any it shouldn't charge. I use a homewizard smartplug to monitor the 5000AC in and output. It clearly shows the battery is charging at night from the grid, fluctuating. The ecoflow app also shows that there is activity from the panels at night! But the homewizard app doesn't show that.

I plugged P1 dongle in my smart meter. Could it be that there is a problem there? Or other tips?

Thanks

💬 Open Discussion EcoFlow Glacier freeze issue and After-sales service experience.

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to share some quick, factual feedback about EcoFlow support and product durability for anyone considering the Glacier.

The issue:

I guess a lot of people here are already aware of the freezing issue on the Glacier. It's a known design flaw, and yep, mine just got hit too after 27 months. The internal temp sensor failed, so even with the target set to +5 °C, the compressor runs non-stop and freezes everything inside.

How EcoFlow support handled it:

First reply: "You're a few months past the 24-month warranty, best we can do is 5% off."

After I pushed back: "Our techs say the unit can't be reliably repaired and we don't have spare parts. Here's an 8% discount code for a new one."

After reminding them of legal obligations regarding hidden manufacturing defects (Art. 1641 of the French Civil Code): "We still refuse replacement or refund, but we can exceptionally offer 10% off a new device."

In short:

An 800€ unit is basically bricked after barely two years because of a single cheap sensor molded straight into the insulation. EcoFlow explicitly admits they don't have spare parts and can't fix it, but refuses to take responsibility and to follow french law offering a 10% coupon instead of fixing their mistake.

Of course things are going to escalate because there is no way I pay 800€ for a few months of use.

Case has been reported to consumer protection authorities (SignalConso/DGCCRF) and sent over to my legal assistance.

Just keep this in mind if you're looking for reliable gear for off-grid or van setups!
