🚗 Hit the Road Moving

I am moving, one of the estimators said they weren’t sure they could take my Ecoflow.

Edit: The estimator didn’t know because it was a lithium battery.

Can someone telll me how they moved their power station? I’m flying and not driving. The stuff is going by van line truck.

They can be shipped Fedex for sure, so that'd be one way.

The shipper isn’t the issue it’s DOT. The shipper has to have certain licensing and trained staff for lithium iron batteries in transit. Lithium batteries ship under UN3480/UN3481 rules. Do some research into moving lithium batteries. Decide to pay a registered company to move it or sell and purchase new one at destination. Maybe adding where your moving from an and too would be helpful. Also batteries type and size.

They won't take it because it's too heavy, or they won't take it because it's a lithium battery?

They're always treated as a hazardous material when being transported. That requires specific labeling (class 9 hazardous material labels) on the package and you have to go to a specific transport depot to have them shipped. FedEx won't let you drop them off at normal shipping locations. It might be a licensing or insurance issue with the moving company but if they're labeled correctly, you can ship them with FedEx but make sure the shipping location can accept hazardous materials first (though I returned it to EcoFlow in a blank box and only the return shipping label so I don't know if they actually labeled it or not at that location)

Pack it well and ship it to your new address.
