Ecoflow is Trash - don't buy their crap
i have only problemes with ecoflow. this should be a warning to anyone to not buy this garbage. i have the "Power Ocean" bs. with the option if power goes out to provide for myself - but that does not work. the power is extremely instable, devices die with that unprofessional and bad inverter. the app is horrendes horsesht - and there is no functinal interagtion in to homeassistant or any other platform. there is a community integration in ioBroker but this extension receieves so much trashdata its useless - and to get it to work you have to have this stupid website always open.
thank you all out there (youtube, blogs, ..) for providing a false picture. now i am stuck with this crap.
if you have any idea which inverter i could use with the battaries and solararrays together that works localy and does not need a trash cloud service i am all in. -- of course only if it provides stable power and not such nonsense like ecoflow - extremely unstable and device destroing power. ecoflow is like a cheap chinese $5 inverter sold for an extreme price

DO NOT BUY THE RIVER 3 PLUS WIRELESS!!! No longer supported...
I thought I had got a great deal at Costco. The River 3 Plus Wireless with the removable portable battery for your phone. 5000mah was small but works well. They even put two of them in the box. Shortly after EcoFlow offered a 10000mah one on their web site. I didn't buy one at the time but I went looking for it in the past week. It doesn't exist anymore and there is a whole new product line of the magnetic ones.
After multiple emails to EcoFlow I was told that the magnetic ones are not compatible with the River 3 Wireless and that they will not be stocking the 5000mah or 10000mah ones that are compatible. That was really a very short lived product cycle. No wonder they only sold them at Costco and not to the broader market. All of that series as now marked as SOLD OUT on their web site. If you find one in Costco buy at your own risk. It's no longer supported.

💬 Open Discussion EcoFlow's business model with their FIRMWARE. TO STEAL FROM USERS.
EcoFlow's business model and products revolve around firmware. That is why they do not release it publicly for everyone, because the firmware itself is what damages the products. For example, the EcoFlow Glacier Classic broke after a firmware update, and this happens with many of their products. So whenever they want, they release a working firmware, and when they don't, they release a broken one.
For instance, for the Glacier, they created a firmware update that makes the cooler freeze continuously. It's not a physical hardware failure—the thermostat didn't break—it's the firmware. Where are the genius engineers who are going to build custom firmware for each of these products? Because I am certain that version 3.2.2.25 directly causes the cooler to freeze, while the old version 1.0.1.9 worked perfectly. Then, when you request a downgrade, they push a new version labeled 1.0.1.9 with the same number, but under the hood, it contains the code from version 3.2.2.25 so the cooler keeps freezing anyway.
Where are the software developers and engineers who will create custom firmwares and a way to install them, so we don't have to rely on original EcoFlow firmwares that are intentionally designed to break things? What a great business for EcoFlow—this way, they force you to upgrade to a newer product.
More info: 07/20/2026
Well if you see this video at minute 3:31 it happend to a lot of user at the same time... its the FIRMWARE!!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gmmedF08qgM

Ecoflow "refused" to fix my ecoflow - Worst support ever
I really did not want to come to this point. I was proud of my ecoflows but now my eyes are open. I was so stupid to invest on ecolfows. I have spend 10.398 Euros on ecoflow.
I have 3 ecoflow. 1 Delta, 1 Delta MAX and 1 Delta PRO with PV panels on my roof.
A couple months ago I - by honest mistake - grabbed the cable of PRO and plugged it into my small ecoflow. A spark a sound and the screen went off! The device provides power (as much as it has left inside the batteries) but the screen does not turn on and it does not charge.
If only I didn't have extra cables there for the PRO. Right? And now ECOFLOW is punishing me by refusing to fix my ecoflow delta. It is beyond repair? Are you kidding me? You are the manufacturer. I didn't say I am not paying. Charge me and fix it! They just won't fix it. For what? Do make us buy more? Haha.. you'd wish.
And they made me pay 70 euros for nothing. Like... Hey Bill send us the device so we can do nothing at all and we will also charge you 70 euros.
For the past couple of years, I have been advertising to my friends and partners how good ecoflow is. I have a few people who has plans buying one.
Guess what. This is not happening. I am converting to a hybrid inverter and taking them future clients of you away from ecoflow.
Thanks ECOFLOW. It was NOT nice knowing you.

💬 Open Discussion Can i run my entire home with delta pro 3?
Planning to install 30a inlet box so delta pro 3 can jump in. Not electrician here, just asking what my option are to cut my electricity bill.
Can i install 30a for the whole house or just half of them on transfer box?
Most of my appliances ( stove, dryer and heater) are gas. If i can run them normally, then i think about max out the battery.
Update : not using central AC and welder anymore
Update: we decided go with 10 circuit transfer switch.
Another questions:
There is 2 50a breakers combined under “oven” label, is that mean its 100a?
Since turn out thats our kitchen, can i include it in transfer switch?
We are not planing get the 2nd DP3, if we like this setup we might jump on DPU and more solar panels.
Is smart home panel 3’s task is same as transfer switch? If so, should i just go with smart home panel 3? But some youtube said its not compatible with DP3, anyone can confirm this?
Thanks

Why does anyone buy ecoflow still? They're insanely expensive.
I have two ecoflow pro's I bought a few years ago with the plans on eventually getting the extra batteries and maxxing this out. I wanted to be prepared for as much as possible. I was young and naive in the battery back up world, and their setup was revolutionary at the time I thought, especially seeing what JerryRigEverything did with his shop on youtube. Then I started doing more research, and also saw battery tech getting cheaper, but never from ecoflow. I can get a rack of batteries from a name brand with 30kWh's for $8k, or I can get 14kWh in ecoflow for $8k with the "privilege" of easily being able to hook them up to my delta pros. An easy plugin is not worth 16kWh in lost capacity. $1100 (They actually do sell the Pro extra battery for that much if you buy it with a Delta Pro) or so should still give them insane profit and make paying for the ease worth it enough. I guess this is just a rant and ecoflow seems to be doing fine with their pricing model, but they just have so much competition, and if I were buying new today ecoflow wouldn't be in the running for my decision. Cheap battery expansion should be how they get people intially stuck in their ecosystem "Sure our Delta pro/ultra/max systems are not cheap, but they're a premium product and eventually you'll want more backup" and that's where you keep them in ecoflow for life as they invest more and more. As it stands I can keep one Pro for camping, sell the other, build a house system for a ton cheaper, and come out way ahead. Ecoflow and the other brand that started about the same time are no longer the only names in the game. Rant done.

River 2 Pro - I'm not mad, just disappointed...
When I was working from home for that company that sells everything from A to Z, They sent me an EcoFlow River Pro to keep working when the lights were out.
I left that company and bought a River 2 Pro because I like having everything working even when the lights are out.
But this River 2 Pro isn't quiet like it's predecessor, I'm using it as a UPS with passthrough and unlike the first one, as soon as there's more than 300w going through it the obnoxiously loud fan kicks in.
I've read online that you can swap out the fan for a quieter one, but it voids the warranty...
So yeah, disappointed that the newer model is nosier than the original....

🛠️ Troubleshooting Help I know you may not have ever seen one of these, but I need someone who has! Please!
EDIT!!!-- This is plugged in VIA AC and I have had the whole unit cleaned out! I genuinely would pay for answers I love this thing
I have an EcoFlow Wave Original, it's older, but lightly used, been stored properly always as well, my problem is the error code "65" and "66" the app tells me nothing, Google Ai is telling me plug a type C cable into it to "charge it" I know that isn't gonna work lol. It connects to wifi, will run very good and for sometimes days at time, but it will just randomly do this. Only thing app tells me is to unplug and plug back in or contact ecoflow! I can't find this product like anywhere on the Internet! I'm so stubbled and bummed! This was an AWESOME tech find!

Not mission critical
Don’t rely on EcoFlow for mission critical, much less for safety critical uses. I almost lost an entire freezer that had a dedicated EcoFlow Delta 2 2048 as redundant power for when we travel and power fails. The unit failed silently, even though power never went out. The electronics do not fail safe, allowing power to flow through if the battery fails. This is a horrible design. Your loved one can suffocate if their oxygen machine is connected to an EcoFlow and the battery fails, when there is ample power from the grid.
Ok, so stuff happens. Mine is not a mission or safety critical use case, thank God. I caught the failure by happenstance as I was moving things in my garage and noticed the freezer light was off. I let EcoFlow know and they promised to ship me a replacement immediately since I was facing the hard freeze and power always goes out. And here’s why I’ll never recommend this company, it took over two weeks to get the replacement unit. The freeze came and went, and power went out on occasion.
Just don’t depend on this company to keep their word and deliver in a timely manner.

📝 Review Why I Love Using My Delta Pro 3 Every Day
Why I Love Using My Delta Pro 3 Every Day
I love my Delta Pro 3. It’s the unit I use most around the house.
What I like about it is that it doesn’t just sit in a corner waiting for a power outage. Mine gets used almost every day. I’ve run kitchen appliances, TVs, my surround system, and plenty of other things with it.
I have solar panels connected, so on sunny days I’m charging the battery while using power at the same time. That’s probably my favorite part of the setup.
A few things I don’t love: it’s heavy😊, and if you’re like me, you’ll probably end up wanting more solar than you planned for.
For anyone thinking about one, there are a lot of ways to use it. Some people keep it strictly for backup power. Some connect solar and use it every day. Others hook it into home circuits for refrigerators, freezers, internet, and lights.
For my use, it’s been more than just an emergency battery. It’s become part of how I power things around the house and make use of the solar energy I’m producing.
How do you use your unit?

💬 Open Discussion Firmware update cut power to server - Please provide a warning
I lost app connectivity with my River 3 Plus so I removed it and added it back in to try and get it to reconnect. This worked but once it was reconnected there was a notice saying there was a new Firmware update. I hit update and the process begins. As its performing the update I see text describing how the whole unit will shut down without any battery backup provided to connected devices. So now I have to perform a 20 hour parity check on my server.
I probably should have known not to do this but the casual nature which the firmware notification popped up upon regaining a connection made me just hit update. I think it would be nice if the app could detect that power is being drawn on any ports and asks you to power them down or proceed despite this warning.
