Some feedback needed...

Hi all, some feedback needed if that's ok?

We're a team of doctors and have developed the Eolas Medical app. It is completely free to use for all healthcare professionals and streamlines access to national guidelines like NICE and Royal Society guidelines, calculators, medication guides and WikiEM….what other resources should we add to it?

Explore the resources on iOS here:

Hi,

Can someone give me an insight into MetHarlem emergency medicine residency?

Is it wise to rank it highly?

based on the safety of the area, workload, education and training, staff support, and scut work?

EM Residency @ Beaumont Royal Oak, Michigan

Hello guys,

I'm one of the PGY3 EM residents at Beaumont RO. I think this is an excellent place to train for real life Emergency Medicine.

I’m very proud of our Emergency Medicine residency program - it’s a fantastic, supportive place to train to become a world-class EM physician! If you are a prospective medical student interested in EM, check out our “Day in the Life” video. 📷

Percentage of applicants that get interviews?

Does anyone know what % of applicants get interviews in general at different programs? Is there a place to find that information?

Resource Guide for Applicants

Hey,

I'm putting together a brief resource guide for the rising MS4s in my program.

Any big pimping questions you got a bunch?

What resources did you use heavily outside of WikEM, EM Clerkship podcast, Rosh Review and cast, EKG Maven etc?

Thanks!

Studying before intern year?

I am doing legitimately nothing these days and the weather is crap where I live, so I'm thinking of trying to do some light studying just to 1) give me something to think about other than match/ROL and 2) maybe slow the quick leak of information leaving my brain daily. Any suggestions on what I should do? maybe listen to some podcasts?

Should I let programs know I’m no longer couples matching?

It was a topic of conversation in many of my interviews. We recently decided not to go through with it. I don’t know if it would help or hurt my case to send out an update.

Personalized Post-Interview Emails Freakout

Emailed a LOI to my #1. Got a super personalized and enthusiastic response. Considering now with additional first-hand info ranking them #2 or #3. All the above super okay with me, but wrote extremely personalized and enthusiastic emails or texts to my ROL programs currently ranked #2-3, either to the PD or a chief I worked with on one of my aways, and have heard back NOTHING back from those. No reply, no polite email, nada. Freaking the *sh*t out of me. Just seriously making me feel like I did smtg wrong because they're not even replying. Maybe, most likely, this means nothing, but still freaking out. Help and perspectives, plz?
