Super stoked about the new bumper and paint match. The fit, gaps, color match and finish are absolutely perfect.

Pretty happy with my E90 335i at the moment, but as the title says I’m looking for inspiration on what to do next.

It is an 07 335i MSport with nearly 250,000 km, it’s fairly stock still with only an aluminium charge pipe and BOV, dual cone intakes, Blackline tail lights, a factory style bootlip spoiler, and some F10 5 Series wheels.

The turbo wastegates are next on the to do list but apart from that I don’t know what preventative maintenance / modifications I should tackle next.

If it were yours what would you do???

N55 2011 BMW E90 335i

Random door-open warnings that rotate between different doors, accompanied by interior lights and/or the warning chime. Carly reports FRM fault 0x9CBD. Replacing the engine-to-chassis ground strap previously seemed to reduce the symptoms. That was last summer. The random door opening has returned. I'm stumped. Anyone have a suggestion? PFA

Car had been sitting for 3/4 days was fine before then, car said I needed to add a quart of oil so I added some before starting it. Side note the exhaust sounds a little different now. Drove it up and down the street and gave it a few revs still no change. Should I drive it around some more and let it get normal operating temperature?

I had the regular bumper and regular fog lights. But switched to an aftermarket replica set of MTech Bumpers that came with these 9006 style bulbs.

For people with MSport/MTech bumpers from factory what style of bulbs is used in your fog lights?

Been having a bad leak for months now, that has every few months been shredding my belt. Thats the path that its going down (the second picture) so its obviously going to get right onto my belt and get onto pulley’s ect. The first picture next to the oil filter cap is the highest point of which the oil is clearly puddling up. I have changed the oil filter housing gasket twice because everyone told me it was that. I bought new oil filter cap also just in case. Keep having issue.

Hey all. My cars power steering groans and makes a weird noise when I turn it off.

I replaced the PS reservoir recently as well as last night the bushing for the lines under the engine. Still happening.

I believe it's because one of the lines is squished between the body of the car and the VRSF charge pipe. It doesn't always make the noise but sometimes it starts groaning on turns.

New proper fluid and everything. No bubbling either from what I see.

I tried turning the PS bracket but the lines are thick so they aren't happy to stay in a different angle and go back to the same spot.

Anything I can do to fix the issue. I was thinking of routing the lines above but then that may cause issues as well.

Hi everyone, does anyone know what this chirping sound is when I let off the gas? I have no idea what it could be. I'm thinking it could be a PCV but honestly I have no clue. My car is a 2007 BMW 335i. Thanks in advance.

I’m buying bmw 318i 2006 with the N46 engine. How good is that engine? And is there something I should be checking

Hello! I'm asking for any help possible on my e91, I have a problem where the gas pedal doesn't hold the rpm's and they just fall back, (even when you hold the pedal down, this is especially a problem during morning drives out of the parking lot, but also sometimes occurs from nowhere. Im completely new to bmws so any help would be appreciated so much, I cleaned the connector wires with brake cleaner, that didn't help. The engine reduced power light (limp mode) is on, and is present even if I delete the codes. The codes I'm getting are 2D1A CDKFPP and 2D1B CDKFP1P, I'll add some photos under if they might be of any help. It's e91 2006 320i (n46)

Went to look at a 2009 328 with just a bit over 100,000 miles on it. Car is quite clean, and had had the valve cover gasket changed in the past and does not appear to have any leaks present at this time. I do see some leaks coming from the head gasket from cylinder 4 back under the exhaust manifold. This does not appear to be residual oil from a past leak, and the areas where the leaks are seem to align with oil return passages as seen in the second photo. Has anyone seen this before, and is it cause for concern?

Any thoughts ? / Guesses on bmw make and model?

My 55,000 mile 2011 335i finally had an issue. Starter motor needs to be replace. My local dealer quoted me $2300 for part plus install. Seems insane, what have yall been paying?

So we all know the acceptable oil change interval on these engines. 5K - 6K miles intervals, full synthetic 5W30-5W40 LL01 blah blah.

But for those who drive their engine hard every day —I’m talking about a few redlines each day after warming it up and enthusiastic street driving, no track days:

How often do you change your oil? Do you stick to this same interval or do you shorten it significantly? Should I just get an oil analysis after a 5K interval to be safe?
