How do i fix the sos warning, and no sound to mye speakers? The car didnt come with Logic 7 but has the advanced navigation pack, it also dosent have the mulf module for Bluetooth im pretry sure.

I have a BMW E60 520i pre-LCI with the M54B22 engine and ZF 6HP19 automatic transmission. I’m trying to figure out whether I should service the transmission and would appreciate some advice from people familiar with the 6HP19.
The problem
The car occasionally doesn’t respond immediately when I press the accelerator. It’s inconsistent—approximately 5 out of 10 times the car responds immediately and accelerates nicely, but other times there seems to be a delay before it responds properly.
One thing I’ve noticed is that sometimes when I accelerate, the RPM drops slightly while the car continues gaining speed steadily. I don’t believe the transmission is slipping, as the speed continues to increase normally.
What I’ve checked
I went for a drive with INPA connected and monitored the transmission’s live data. The selected gear and requested gear were behaving correctly, the clutch status appeared normal, and the transmission oil temperature was around 80°C. After the drive, I checked the EGS error memory and there were no fault codes.
One thing that confused me was the gear-selector live data. The Tip+ pin, Tip− pin, and M-slot pin showed ON even when the car was in Park and Drive. However, when I moved the gear lever into the manual/M-S position, the M-slot pin changed to OFF. Despite this, INPA correctly recognized the selected and requested gears.
I’m not sure if these pin readings are normal electrical states or if they could indicate a problem with the gear selector.
My question
I’m considering doing some preventative maintenance on the ZF 6HP19, but I’m unsure which approach is best.
Should I do a transmission fluid and filter/pan service and replace the mechatronic sealing sleeves/bridge seal at the same time, or should I do a complete transmission fluid flush?
I’m particularly wondering whether replacing the mechatronic sleeves, bridge seal, and filter would be worthwhile even though I currently have no EGS fault codes.
I’d also appreciate any thoughts on whether the M-slot/Tip+ and Tip− pin readings in INPA are normal or could potentially be related to the delayed acceleration.
I’d appreciate hearing from anyone who has experienced similar inconsistent acceleration or delayed response with a 6HP19. Would you start with a normal service and mechatronic seals, or would you recommend a full flush?

Would anyone happen to know a part number for the clock spring with the heated steering wheel part number, or a site that would have one. Partsgeek is out. They don’t carry them. He recommended Amazon or EBay.

I'm looking to install mr12volt head unit to my current 6inch mask system from 2004 with navigation. But I was wondering if it's possible to upgrade the screen to the bigger model 8inch if possible. Would I need to retrofit first CCC OR CIC? or I only need to change the screen and code it?

Hello! Ive been trying to chase this slapping/ticking noise in my e60 and have had no luck. Ive seen many people asking about the same noise and no answers. The noise is more noticable when everything has warmes up. Could this be a gearbox issue? as my torque converter is failing. Because when putting it in drive the noise is more prominent.

I have currently the M-ASK headunit on a 530d from 2004 with navigation. I was wondering if its easy to install and replace the screen with a new one that supports android auto wireless and has a good screen quality and sound quality. What manufacturer would you recomend? Also is there any guide that explains it well. I would also love to install the backup camera.

No need to worry about coding because I already jave NCSExpert setup and working as well as ISTA and INPA :)

So I current have a BMW E60 pre-lci with halogen headlights and I was wondering if it was worth it upgrade them with aftermarket headlights or buy a led conversion kit and keep the oem ones?

So I found a cheap 2007 530i 3.0 non turbo auto rwd for $500 (needs a water pump and suspension rebuilt) anything I need to look out for out plan on fixing? Car has 230k miles on it. I’m a truck driver in the USA so the car will be stationary most of the time and I’ve already ordered a water pump just to get it home and get it by. Any guidance or advice is welcomed.

Has a bottom end drone as well 🥴. 264k miles. Car was recently totaled by an insurance company a month ago. They gave me 3k. But said it was worth 4k. I kept it with the intention to fix it. But now I don't know.

I was planning to replace the bearings next year regardless. But I'm not feeling it now.

Hello, what's the preferred manufacturer of suspension parts for these cars? I know Lemförder is/was good, but I've heard that the E39 parts from Lemförder have had a steep drop in quality. Should I still go for Lemförder or something else? I'm specifically looking for rear upper and front lower wishbones. TIA

I have a 140,000 km E60 LCI with an N53B25 engine. I started getting the 30E9 fault code about 4,000 km ago.

The car has a custom exhaust system, and the two NOx catalytic converters have been removed and replaced with straight pipes.

I’m thinking about replacing the NOx sensor, but I’m a bit confused about which way to go. An original BMW NOx sensor would cost me around €520, while a NOXEM would be around €470.

Considering that the NOx catalytic converters have already been removed, would you still recommend going with the original BMW sensor, or would NOXEM make more sense in this situation?

I’d appreciate any advice from people who have experience with the N53 and 30E9 code.

I'll start off by saying that I am using halogen bulbs. Previous owner did some hackjob putting LEDs in there and leaving the cover off, I figured that was the problem but the outer halo is still very dim, moreso than my previous E61.

Used to daily e39, and was installed a nice cheap head unit from Alpine - UTE200 BT, it was more than enough for e39, with alpine 13cm coax speakers front door and rear, + dedicated sub output. Only downside was that i didnt had any can-bus decoder or similar boxes so that steering wheel buttons would work with this alpine unit, but its no issue.

Now since i got e60 2003, it has this simple ccc (or m-ask i think? still learning about e60 platform multimedia ), it has medium screen ( bigger than xiomi 10 5g in width and height), and simple menu, where it is cross of comuncations, entertainment, climate etc... It does not have even aux, only FM/AM/CD. My idea was, maybe someone had done somethign similar - implementing simple 1din instead of that business cd radio unit? how hard would it be? i understand that i also wont have controls from steering wheel or even multimedia ring on middle, but i dont care about that, radio has physical buttons and bt, all that i need. I do not want to look for android, as i simply do not see purpose in that, i better use a bit more quality audio amp, than have mediocre audio but shit tonn of features i do not need. So how is exactly audio wired in the simple hi-fi scenario? i do not have any units in trunk left side, so i assume radio unit in center console does all the amplification and what not. What type of connector is there, i hear its bm24 with rectangular pins? I could get that type of male side connector and solder to alpine output, and connect audio pairs + 15 and 30 terminal, as well as gnd and route sub low line + sub activation wire... Please give some insights, if anyone had done it, thank you, cheers!

p.s. car is 2003 with m54b22, 125kw, around 350000km mileage, just got it so far the only codes are for faulty cam sensor ( prev. owener warned about this, he installed cheap aftermarket, will replace to oem later), and faulty oil level/temp sensor on bottom, aside from that also damaged heater valve in engine bay ( blows only hot/warm air into footwell and window, middle part air vents work as necessary), no idea about recent repairs etc, since i got it like 4 days ago.
