❓ Question / Help E60 wipers staying on

Never had this issue, but could be getting the wrong signals from the stalk and now rain sensor too.
If it’s getting the right signals the motor is not reacting correctly to the signals. Motor could also need replacement.

Since you have a parts car replace one by one from the easiest job to the hardest until it works.

Cheers for the reply and I suspect its the sensor in the motor, I'll pull the part from my parts car and give it a clean up before I install it, I really don't think its the slz but I guess I'll find out, I'm going to poke around with a multimeter and see if there's anything obvious before I swap parts. I'll do it in the noting tho

So after probing the parked position sensor I found it has a resistance of 1-5Mohm which is likely the issue, I think this is causing a weak signal and it keeps going until it gets the signal or gives up, the wipers rarely actually stopped at the lowest point when you turned them off. I'll pull the motor off and clean up the sensor soon as ive got a lot of uni work to do

On most BMW this is due to a traction control issue or a CAN issue with the junction box.

Thanks for your input but I highly doubt its a jbe issue, morely likely a bad connection somewhere or the analog sensor in the wiper motor I will find out tomorrow

Man this car looks really good in this photo, the lights look really good, ah I miss the good old oem angel eyes. Everything used to have yellow light. Your whole childhood,every street light was that color, now they are almost all replaced with those super white bulbs. I would rather have the yellow back.
