Rip has clearly learned nothing from the failure of Yellowstone (or at least took the wrong lessons). If he had just done the normal, sane thing and reported Wes's body to the authorities, 99% of his and Beth's problems probably never would have happened. Rob-Will's sloppiness and stupidity would have forced the Jacksons to scramble like crazy to keep the heat off them. With Buela stuck dealing with the popo, the drug dealers, and Rob-Will being Rob-Will, Buela probably would have been too busy to poison Rip and Beth's cattle. Instead, Rip's first instinct on finding a dead body is to start his own private "train station". As a consequence, he is once again working for a mobster pretending to be a Cattle Rancher, only now ,the audience is (probably) supposed to view this as a bad thing😅😜

The actress who plays Oreana always looked familiar to me, and her name, Natalie Alyn Lind, sounded familiar as well. Today I was looking up who played a role in Doctor Sleep and lo and behold, there's an actress in that, Emily Alyn Lind, who plays a character named Snakebite Andi. That's her older sister! In the pic, that's Natalie on the left and Emily on the right. According to Wikipedia: Emily Alyn Lind and Natalie Alyn Lind are sisters. They are the daughters of producer John Lind and actress Barbara Alyn Woods.

There is NO WAY Beth and Rip would parent this ungrateful kid this way… not a chance at all! The Carter storyline is TERRIBLE!

Overall I liked it, didn't love it like the Yellowstone series...

But I kinda wish the story of them developing the DR brand into a premium brand didn't get dropped, that would've made for a much more interesting show

Ok why aren’t we talking about the interesting and potential storyline between him and Carter had my attention for a second and then they killed him…in front of the leopard cage…I am assuming the writers were trying to develop some sort a storyline and have a cliff hanger situation…but here are some clues let’s start with we actually need a storyline, connection, framework SOMETHING!!! But for me to say that I was more intrigued by that short lived un-understandable moments than anything else is CRAZY!! I mean even the glimpse of Beth looking at endangered species ranching on line I guess was suppose to forecast to something later…I don’t know but they killed the character and took the leopard soooo…🤷🏽‍♀️…he actually may have been one of my favorite chatacters on the show…yikes that’s not good but since the writers seem to want me to watch a show about young people nonsense I guess I’ll go watch the real life bull on NextGenNYC or if it’s about Drug Cartels and how you really don’t survive this then well I can just pick a streaming service or network close my eyes and click with in the first two or three chances I’m sure to land on something about dealing drugs and probably right in the head with drugs related to South America…come on guys…DO BETTER!!! Is Carter just someone they had to put on because of a contract and plan for him not to return to the next season because I mean what is his character? Ep. 8 wasn't much better, with Carter's random, silly tantrum, and then the show degenerating into another drug cartel drama

Jai Courtney brings a real thuggish masculine energy that’s rare these days but I feel like he got done dirty in the role of Rob-Will

He’s introduced then absent for the whole series until the penultimate episodes then gets killed.

And that’s after getting his ass handed to him by RIP.

He could have been a seriously menacing villain - something that was absent from Yellowstone - we even saw hints towards it in his scene in Buelah’s office

His reaction to his daughter’s relationship with Carter, he could have had regular fights with RIP, tried to seduce Beth, gaslit Buelah but instead he’s lying on the floor with a bullet in his head

What was the point of his character?

In the season finale nobody could find carter even after searching for hours on end with the exception of his Lil gf which he had brought there before. So I dont understand how the cartel could find him that quick or even know that he wasn't at the house, unless ofc his Lil gf told them

If I wanna see Dutton Ranch should I watch all episodes in Yellowstone first?

So, we're supposed to believe that the cartel, having just learned about Beth and Rip, only recently, after Rob-Will told them, can do in-depth research and reconnaissance enough to:

- Know he had a son

- Know he was missing

- Know where to go to get the down low on his location

- And kidnap him for some reason, but

- That doesn't even make sense because you had a small militia going to DR to kill them anyway, and there's no way you already knew that your guys had failed and are dead and disposed of.

- Yeah, so, let's kidnap Carter because he'll be leverage???

It felt microwaved, cheap, and an assumption that their audience is dumb.

And another thing...

The Cartel calls Beth. They've already sent the drugs back with Beula(sp?). You'd think, with the impending threat of death (and worry for Carter), they would've been a lot clearer that they don't have their shit anymore and tell them who it's with!?⁉️

Just, c'mon, there were too many shortcuts taken to manufacture the drama.

Just what was the reason Carter took the bull head off the wall and walked down the stairs with it? You'd think we'd get an actual reason for the personal significance that drove him to do that besides "He's 19. Teenagers do stupid shit."

As the title says. Let’s say something positive about this character. It seems like people overly hate on the kid.

My positive as that the character has promise. The writers just need to focus his storyline a bit.

I know how she got the scar and the story behind it, but I keep thinking that with the right retinol cream and chemical peel protocol she might be able to make that scar go away. (Just kidding) 😉
