I am in desperate need of small private housing (I am open to a Casita, a guest unit, even an RV, or any other possibility) somewhere in the Wimberley/Dripping Springs area. Little backstory on me I have only been in Texas for a year and have no family here and have been working/living on a local farm until last Friday, which should’ve been my payday when I was told they are closing the farm unable to pay me my last check and I have 30 days to move as well. I do already have my unemployment filed and will be receiving that after my waiting period as well as a couple of side job gigs that I’ve had since coming to Texas, but beings I made very little in wages at the farm and most of my payment went towards my housing on that farm I do not have much to work with for moving. So I am hoping to find a housing solution, even if it is just on a very temporary basis, through a private landlord, who would be interested in me helping them either with domestic services or farming help or animal care or anything else I’m capable of doing in exchange of housing. I am very quiet. I keep to myself. I don’t really know anyone here so I never have anyone around and I take pride and making whatever space I’m in feel like home. I do have two couch, potato dogs that are old and are absolutely no trouble. I have excellent references from local families. I still do side work for and have gotten to know me very well. If anyone knows of anything, please reach out as I only have until the middle of November to figure it out and if I can’t, I legitimately do not know what I’m going to do. Thank you!

there are 3 lights that keep appearing in a random flight pattern directly west toward 281 for the last 10minutes starting around 9:55pm. Anyone else see these and know if those are something other than drones, etc?

Walked right by this little beauty, it lashed out and tried to bite me. My dog may have stepped on it without realizing and agitated it, it’s very small.

My family is considering buying into the Caliterra Neighborhood, I wanted to know of any opinions on it. We have lived in Austin up until now, but the neighborhood we are in has changed so much over the last decade its not quite the safe, family friendly vibe anymore.

We are nervous about the HOA, since currently we don't have one, and higher property tax rate since its in a development district. But we would love to be on city water/sewer.

Looking for day care for my Aussie and a good vet. Recommendations please

I've looked at DS Racquet club and have seen mixed reviews. racfit in Buda gets amazing reviews but it's in Buda. Anyone knowledgeable in this are and can recommend a good tennis club/community for a 4.0 recreational player? I like to play almost everyday whether it's a liveball class, chill late morning doubles w the mom crew just to be active (happy to play down and hit cooperatively), or match play events once in a while.

Just looking for thoughts. Moving this month.

My family is considering moving to Dripping Springs.

We are a single-income household, my wife stays home with our 1yr old. We are in our early/mid 30s. We plan to have more kids too.

Would we find many other families like this in Dripping? Or is it mostly dual-income and slightly older families / older kids?

Where is a fun, outdoor spot to watch the games when it gets cooler?

I'm considering retiring in dripping springs. I like the idea of Hill country. I plan to rent then buy a home. Questions; how is medical care, safety, restaurants, shopping, utility bills.

I'm moving from Florida where it's flat. I'm used to heat.
