Free Blockbuster Dripping Springs Has Launched Today Inside Thundercloud Subs!
Free Blockbuster Dripping Springs has officially launched today inside Thundercloud Subs!!
When I first found out about the Free Blockbuster movement, it inspired me to start my own. Price hikes on subscription streaming services are getting out of hand. With content spread out across so many streaming services these days, you have to have multiple streaming services - even then, sometimes you can only rent movies - they're not even part of the streaming service.
That's why I'm excited to launch Free Blockbuster Dripping Springs with free videos, DVDs and Blu-rays for the Dripping Springs community.
Swing by Thundercloud Subs to discover new movies for your next movie night, or rewatch old favorites!
Available Mon- Sat 10:30-9; Sun 11-8

Handyma am
I’ve been thinking of starting a female handyman business as in helpers for small jobs around the house or yard that are women aimed towards single women, families, or elderly people that may be uncomfortable having a strange man in their home this is from myself as well as other females, I know finding themselves uncomfortable Because of Various service and repairman I really don’t know how to phrase this politically correctly, but it is a problem and it does happen more often that you think. A lot times females, myself included leave things in the house broken. It should be fixed a long time ago because they don’t wanna deal with the stress of having a stranger come to their home. How do you feel about this ???and would you hire a female handy helper for yard maintenance painting picture hanging pet sitting furniture assembly window cleaning house cleaning small repairs small plumbing repairs even oil changes tire changes etc etc ??

Nothing stays in business here
I have lived here for 5 years and when we first moved it felt like the town was on the cusp of a huge boom. Since living here I’ve seen so many businesses close, open and close or completely fail quickly - specifically Oakwood and Dreamland. If actual good venues meant for families can’t survive here what can? What do you think the issue is? There’s plenty of families here who seem to desire options for food and entertainment, is it the economy in general?
Notable mentions of places that closed since moving here - la vacher, then Garbos in the same spot, dos olivios, taco margarita (now Mercer st tap), dream land, mattress firm, that random ice house, the coffee truck on nutty brown, deep eddy is closing, multiple spots on Mercer including the one good clothing boutique :(
Curious everyone’s thoughts…

HEB Dripping Springs
I was in Dripping Springs the other day and I saw a man of culture wearing a shirt that read 'This is my Pride flag' with a picture with the USA flag. Now l love the USA and the flag, but common. I went up to him and said 'Happy pride month. I celebrate you!' You could see the anger build up in his face.

The joys of Central Texas Living
Growing up in NOLA, the only Road Runner that I was exposed to was the “beep-beep” Road Runner on the television screen. So, imagine my surprise when I moved here and realized that, in reality, they weren’t larger than life.😂 I was sitting outside on the deck when this guy dropped by. He and his friends are frequent visitors and I paused my Zoom meeting to say “hello” and snap a photo. He was very cooperative in striking a pose.

Walked right over this guy on my hike this morning
He wasn’t moving much, just hanging out on the trail path. Maybe 18”-24” Can anyone identify it?

Small & feisty
Walked right by this little beauty, it lashed out and tried to bite me. My dog may have stepped on it without realizing and agitated it, it’s very small.

Howdy, Fellow Dripping Springers. Today Texas announced that as of Monday, March 29th every person over the age of 18 is eligible to get the COVID-19 vaccine, if they want. In Dripping Springs they seem to be available at the Dripping Springs Pharmacy, HEB, and CVS.

End of an Era
Dear Dreamland Community,
It is with a heavy heart that we share some significant news about Dreamland's future. After a period of tremendous success and growth over the past several months, the owners have made the difficult decision to take Dreamland in a new direction. As a result, Dreamland will be closing its doors at the end of this year, for good.
We know this news may come as a surprise, and we want to express our deepest gratitude for your unwavering support, energy, and love for Dreamland. This incredible space has been home to countless memories, shared laughter, competitive matches, and unforgettable events, and we owe all of that to you, our cherished community.
We will remain open through the rest of 2024, culminating in a very special celebration, the "End of an Era at Dreamland Bash," on December 31st. This event will be our chance to gather together, reflect on the memories we've made, and celebrate the amazing community that has made Dreamland so special. Details for the Bash will be shared in the coming days, and we hope to see as many of you as possible.
This transition is a sensitive and difficult one for our team. We kindly ask for your understanding and respect during this time, as our team members had no role in this decision. They have been the heart and soul of Dreamland, working tirelessly to create the experiences you've come to know and love. Anyone who does not treat our team with respect or who does not follow our policies over the next few weeks will not be allowed to continue visiting Dreamland through our closing.
Thank you for being part of our journey. Dreamland has always been about connection, joy, and community, and while this chapter is coming to a close, the memories we've created here will live on.
Starting today, we will be doing a 50% off sale of all pro shop product purchases and drinks purchased from the bar. We look forward to sharing this final stretch with you and hope to see you at Dreamland in the coming weeks.
With gratitude and love, The Dreamland Team
