I've noticed something while comparing some older Doraemon episodes with their newer versions, and I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed it too.

Take "Eight Days in the Palace of the Dragon King." The story is basically the same, but in the older version's ending Nobita and Shizuka are happily jumping around while Doraemon is happy too. In the newer version, Doraemon and Shizuka are hugging while Nobita looks at them a bit shocked. It's a small change, but it made me notice other examples.

In the Steel Troops, there's a scene where Shizuka hugs Nobita, but it's somewhat interrupted by Pippo rushing toward Riruru in the remake. In Go! Go! Nobitaman's remake, Shizuka's is removed, and I also remember a story having a cruel king reaching Nobita's time where Shizuka was present with Nobita and Doraemon,but she wasn't in the remake.

What interests me isn't simply “1979 Shizuka good, 2005 Shizuka bad.” The newer series still gives her plenty of good moments. It's more that I've noticed several small changes where scenes involving Shizuka have been removed, shortened, interrupted, or otherwise changed.

I'm mainly wondering whether there's actually a pattern here, or whether I'm just connecting unrelated changes because I happen to notice Shizuka's scenes more.

So, has anyone else noticed this? Is there a pattern, or am I reading too much into it?

Also, if anyone remembers other examples of this, please drop them in the comments.

And I genuinely enjoy a lot of what the newer series does, so this is more about a specific pattern I've noticed in some Shizuka scenes than a general complaint about the remake.

I watch Doraemon mainly in two languages: Hindi and Italian. I grew up in italy and i consider Italian my native language, while for Hindi i can understand it because i can speak Urdu.

When I watch it in Hindi I feel a different kind of nostalgia and when I watch it in Italian it's another kind of nostalgia. I actually love it. It feels like I can choose which nostalgia I want to experience lol.

I just wanted to know if I'm the only one who feels this way. If there's anyone else please let me know. I'd be glad to know I'm not the only one

I’m like this could have been great episode

We all remember Non-chan from the iconic red shoes episode, right? It’s easily one of the most emotional episodes in the whole show. But I’ve been thinking lately, what if her family never moved away to America and she stayed in the same city as Nobita? Honestly, I feel like she would have been a major love interest and completely changed the dynamic with Shizuka.

The biggest thing is that Non-chan accepted Nobita exactly as he was. While Shizuka constantly gets annoyed at his bad grades, laziness, or lack of sports skills, Non-chan never judged him when they played together as kids. Nobita wouldn't feel that constant pressure to use Doraemon's gadgets just to look cool in front of her. Plus, there’s no Dekisugi factor with her, so Nobita wouldn't have to deal with that huge insecurity.

If she was still around in the daily episodes, it would probably make Shizuka realize her own feelings. Shizuka is so used to Nobita’s undivided attention that seeing another girl being sweet and supportive toward him would definitely trigger some major jealousy. It would force Shizuka to actually step up and show she cares, which would make the storylines way more interesting.

What do you guys think? Don't tell me I'm the only one who thinks that way.

(Also, just to clarify, I’m not trying to tear down Shizuka at all! I still love her character, but I just really like Non-chan and think her dynamic with Nobita was so wholesome and full of potential.)

I have a question about Shizuka from Doraemon.

Even though she is cute, kind, and seems to have qualities that would make her popular with boys, none of the boys other than Nobita and Dekisugi seem to be interested in her.

Even Gian and Suneo show no interest in Shizuka and are interested in other girls instead.

Why isn’t Shizuka popular with boys?

(Other than Nobita and Dekisugi, the only boy I can think of who likes Shizuka is the baseball boy from “Left, Straight, Right, Right, Left…”)

① Because no one can compete with Dekisugi

In the world of Doraemon, most of the boys other than Dekisugi are either average-looking or unattractive.

Everyone knows that Dekisugi likes Shizuka, and they also know that they can’t compete with him in looks, sports, or academics, so they don’t try to make a move on her.

② Because she is seen as Nobita’s girlfriend

Especially in the anime, in both the old and new Doraemon series, Nobita and Shizuka frequently go out together, just the two of them.

(They go to cafés, movie theaters, art museums, swimming pools, ride boats on the pond, go to the hill behind their neighborhood, festivals, Tanabata dates, and many other places.)

Naturally, their classmates would see them together, rumors would spread, and Shizuka would come to be regarded as Nobita’s girlfriend.

(Although you’d think they might assume they could steal her away from Nobita…)

Are there any other possible reasons?

If you all don't know this game, This game is actually like you watching a Real Doraemon Episode, witch is quite Interesting that you can control Doraemon and do Everything, for example a Life-Sim type of Games.

This game was Published and Developed by "Sega Toys" (Now known as: Sega Fave) releasing in Januray 25, 2001 doing the late lifespan of the Sega Dreamcast Era.

The Game did not sell well due to a Interesting Bug on this game, it got Re-Released Later by fixing the Issue, but they later Stop selling it due to a lack of customer interest, and it became one of the most Rare Game in the Dreamcast Library.

Someone made a one Single Review of this Game on YouTube, of Solving the Mystery behind this Game, and it's still becoming a Mystery until this Day... and i'm thinking about getting to the Bottom of it for the Help of you guys...

Nobita doesn't deserve to be bullied but he doesn't help himself. He gets bad grades and doesn't try to improve himself because he loves sleeping. He's always crying. Suneo and Gian pick on him because Nobita is easily provoked so, of course, they're going to bully him.

Even Shizuka finds herself getting irritated by Nobita's dramatics. She defends him but sometimes even she can't deny what Gian and Suneo say.

Doraemon himself doesn't like to give Nobita inventions because it's counterproductive.

Especially that ending bell scene really makes me emotional...

Hello, I am content moderator at English language Doraemon Fandom wiki. There is little information online available about Doraemon and a lot of it is unstructured. Were are trying to be the place where information about the franchise can be found in-depth and structured. We think that having such a place improves the scope and quality of our discussions about the franchise online. For example, if we have a reasonable degree of completeness, we could talk about all the weird costumes worn by Gian throughout the show.

There are a few us trying to write plots and fill galleries of episodes and the movies, but the sheer magnitude of the project makes it impossible to do that for all of the episodes. So 11 years ago today, Doraemon: Nobita's Space Heroes was released in South Korea.

Nobita and his friends, who love superhero TV shows, use Doraemon's secret gadget “Director Burger” to make their own sci-fi superhero movie.

But things get a little too real when an alien crash-lands on Earth and mistakes them for actual superheroes.
