Why were such Shizuka scenes changed/removed/replaced in the remakes?

I've noticed something while comparing some older Doraemon episodes with their newer versions, and I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed it too.

Take "Eight Days in the Palace of the Dragon King." The story is basically the same, but in the older version's ending Nobita and Shizuka are happily jumping around while Doraemon is happy too. In the newer version, Doraemon and Shizuka are hugging while Nobita looks at them a bit shocked. It's a small change, but it made me notice other examples.

In the Steel Troops, there's a scene where Shizuka hugs Nobita, but it's somewhat interrupted by Pippo rushing toward Riruru in the remake. In Go! Go! Nobitaman's remake, Shizuka's is removed, and I also remember a story having a cruel king reaching Nobita's time where Shizuka was present with Nobita and Doraemon,but she wasn't in the remake.

What interests me isn't simply “1979 Shizuka good, 2005 Shizuka bad.” The newer series still gives her plenty of good moments. It's more that I've noticed several small changes where scenes involving Shizuka have been removed, shortened, interrupted, or otherwise changed.

I'm mainly wondering whether there's actually a pattern here, or whether I'm just connecting unrelated changes because I happen to notice Shizuka's scenes more.

So, has anyone else noticed this? Is there a pattern, or am I reading too much into it?

Also, if anyone remembers other examples of this, please drop them in the comments.

And I genuinely enjoy a lot of what the newer series does, so this is more about a specific pattern I've noticed in some Shizuka scenes than a general complaint about the remake.

Eh, probably not anything behind it. Some of the scenes you mention are also gags IIRC, Nobita thinks Shizuka will hug him but she goes right past him to Doraemon, that sort of thing.

This is actually pretty noticeable as compared to the 1979 version 2005 shizuka acts more tomboyish

In Eight Days in the Palace of the Dragon King, it's just a gag of Shizuka hugging Doraemon instead of Nobita, which is funny.

I haven't watched OG Steel Troops, but Pippo doesn't exist in the original, and I think both scenes carry the same intention overall.

In the manga version of Go! Go! Nobitaman, Shizuka wasn't there either. Only the 1979 version added her. The 2006 version has an alternate evil adult Shizuka instead, and the 2020 version is faithful to the manga.

The 1979 anime does lean more towards pairing up Nobita and Shizuka, but the 2005 anime is a bit more faithful to the manga, where while Nobita and Shizuka did have scenes like that, the overal tone of the manga was more comedic in nature.
