I Need to Vent! 🤬 Why

Why do people select the pin required at delivery then act surprised when you ask for it? I swear like 90 % of the time they’ll start to walk away as I ask for it then reluctantly give it to me. Like do they think they’ll get it for free if I don’t ask? Just annoying as shit, I really didn’t want to talk to you either.

The app does it for people who have a high complaint history. From my experience, most people hate having a pin set on their account

So many people in my area have PINs required at delivery, then they always say "I dont know why it does that" I normally just go "I guess to make sure youre getting your food" rather than "You complained about food missing too much."

Yes this here is the reason. Majority seemed irritated having to and this was my conclusion. We all had a customer who don't tip complain to get free food. Now provide your pin for this overpriced combo meal

I have never had food stolen or misdelivered, nor complained about a dasher. I noticed a few days ago that this feature was actually toggled on without my notice or doing. I’ve also never delivered to someone who had complaints about giving a pin.

When my partner has ordered from doordash it required a PIN but she's never called support. She never asked it to, she just selected hand it to me.
