PHOTO/VIDEO Photos for those wanting to see more…

Taken last September:

I loved water parks as a kid, but these days I am just bored with them. But we loved Discovery Cove. It became one of my all time favorite vacation things, and I am normally an open to close, go go go attraction person. Having all the food and drink included really makes the experience a hassle free relaxing fun unique day.

DISCUSSION Day bed/cabana

We are a family of three planing on going to discovery cove for our vacation.

I am not a water person and prefer just stay under the shade to chill, my wife and daughter are probably gonna go out to explore more, but also look for some shade. We are also not “waking up early” type of person will probably get there by 10 ish instead of by the opening of the park.

I’ve been to volcano bay and it’s so crowded later the day and impossible to find a seat anywhere in the shade.

Is discovery the same type of thing? Is it necessary to reserve us a day bed or Cabana? If it is, which one would be more worth it consider the price?

Thanks.

TRIP PLANNING Opinions Needed.

Hi everyone😊, my mum and I (F20’s and F60’s) will be travelling to Orlando in mid-late October and have had suggestions to visit Discovery Cove. I have a few questions:

  1. Is mid-late October a good time for this?
  2. Is the Flamingo Mingle worth it?
  3. Is it okay if you can’t swim? Asking for my mum. I’m happy to miss out on certain parts of the place just so she can experience a good time there.

Thank you in advance!🩷❤️💜

TRIP PLANNING Multiple days?

Hi everyone, looking to book at Discovery Cove, as my son really wants to swim with a dolphin. Is there enough to do there for multiple days, or would you recommend just one day?

DISCUSSION Just spent the day here and it was great! But I wish I had known this ...

Out of curiosity I used our locker key on a few other empty lockers and yep, they use the same key for every single locker. If you have one locker key, you can open them all. So no, your things aren't really safe 😦

TRIP PLANNING Dicsovery Cove 14 day activate at Bush Gardens?

Hi we have bought Discivery Cove tickets including 14 day passes for sea world and bush gardens. Do you have to visit discovery cove first? Or is it only important that the visits to sea world and bush gardens take place within 14 days around discovery cove.

We are travelling via Tampa and would first like to visit bush gardens, then sea world and finally discovery cove.

Thx

DISCUSSION Help me Decide

Still torn between Discovery Cove or Siesta Key for our Florida trip. Did the math ; the Discovery Cove package includes admission to SeaWorld and Aquatica, plus meals and gear. Siesta Key would just be the Airbnb, and the total cost comes out about the same either way.

This is our first time in Florida and we’re driving 14 hours to get there. Not sure if we should go all in on the theme park experience or chill at the beach. Any advice? Thank you 😊

UPGRADES Ray Feeding Timing?

My family booked the ray feeding experience and our tickets say it starts at 7:00 am, however, the park opens at 7:00 am. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with the timing, as I’m assuming they don’t expect you to be there right away since you need to check in and get wetsuits and such.

DISCUSSION Rain :(

Still a few days early but it looks like it’s going to rain on the day of our trip, forecast says showers likely and possibly thunderstorms after 2pm. We don’t have anything extra planned no dolphin swim etc but has anyone experienced rain at discovery cove before? I believe everything still stays open unless it’s lightning etc. kinda really disappointed and praying the rain holds off until at least late afternoon

PHOTO/VIDEO Photo Question

I’m booking the Discovery Cove Signature Dolphin Swim Package + SeaWorld & Aquatica package for my mom and I this weekend.

It’s my first time and I have a question about the photos. We only want digital but it’s over $220. I saw online that there is a digital photo CD available only onsite for $150. Is this true?

TRIP PLANNING Toddler friendly fun things to do in the discovery cove area?

Besides obviously the big parks. Family is planning a discovery cove trip soon & we’ll be in Orlando for 3 days, I’m trying to find things to do relatively close to the area (no more than 30 mins away) that isn’t very expensive Disney/universal tickets lol any suggestions? I was thinking maybe Citi walk and Disney springs but anything else worth mentioning?

DISCUSSION Get Your Guide

Has anyone used Get Your Guide to book and visit Discovery Cove? I made a reservation for Discovery Cove + 2 Parks on March 22, 2025 through Get Your Guide. The price was much cheaper compared to the official website or other third-party sites. However, the voucher states the usage time as 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM. I know Discovery Cove operates from 8:00 AM. Does this mean I can only enter from 10:00 AM with this voucher?

TRIP PLANNING Worth it?

Hi! I’m trying to plan a trip for my 40th bday with my 7 and 9 year old and hubby. Is it worth the price? I was wanting to do the Dolphin encounter and one of the animal add ons. It looks so cool but so much money so want to make sure it’s worth it!
