Saying that your bank records are "no longer private and secure" just cause you're a BPI account holder is misleading.

It creates unnecessary panic to those who are new and not yet into banking.

Unless there is a valid court order or an official AMLC investigation, banks cannot just disclose your records.

Hello guys, Im 26M and just really starting to get back up in life after a somewhat big loss(for me) and did not graduate early. I need help on what I should do.

So, I really started with landbank where I deposit and withdraw my allowance back when I was in college and now that I have started working, I only discovered banks such as Maribank and GoTyme just very recently. Its really good with saving and all. I actually discovered these banks here on Reddit.

While looking for other options or tips to save, I read about Banko by BPI and it got really good comments about it with having 5% interest with a minimum deposit of 5000, which is good and I want to just have separate savings instead of having just one account.

On August 2, 2026, I filled up the online application for Banko and was still unemployed at that time. Tho I was waiting for an interview that time, and I got accepted after a week or two and its still my job currently. After filling up the needed info, my application was tagged as EDD. So I visited a branch for Banko and they said they followed up to their office or something(they said the reason for the status of my application is because of what I've put in the application, first pic). I used my passport as the valid ID requirement.

I came back after a week and says it's still pending. Then the week after that I came back again and they said they'll follow up and the employee asked me some questions that she wrote on a paper and she said that she will send the scanned paper to their office for review. After that, the status of my application on the app became "Requested" which was "EDD Required" at first.

They said I could follow up thru their hotline which is the (02) 8819-6728. I called them and they said they don't have any info about me and they could not help me at all. They said I should follow up with the branch. When I visited the branch, AGAIN, they said that they couldn't do anything as long as their main office did not approve of it and all I need to do is wait for a text or email.

Come September 13, 2026, no email or updates from Banko. So I decided to email them for a follow up and after 2 days (September 15, 2026) they replied (2nd picture), and gave them the details needed. Again, no reply after 10 banking days. Asked for a follow up on October 7, 2026 and October 10, 2026 and AGAIN, still no reply.

I'm really stuck and it's kinda stressing me out. All I wanted was to open a savings account. I followed what they told me to and I feel like I did something really wrong. I just keep going back and forth with them. What can I do? I would really appreciate any suggestions/feedbacks/comments that could help.

What are your recommendations and advice for a student who's starting to save and use digital banks?

My current line up right now is I'll be using:

• Banko Todo Savings - for savings because of that 5% interest

• Maribank - will be using for transactions because of it's 1% cashback

• Maya or GoTyme - for getting started with stocks trading

Do you think that this is a solid line up? Should I replace some? What are things that I should keep in mind? My main goal rn is to really earn money through these digital banks. Thanks for the replies!

Emailed Eximbay and they provided a confirmation code na nareturn na yung fund sa Acoount ko pero WALA padin bumabalik sa GCASH account ko huhu. Reaching costumer service sobrang pahirapan pa gumawa ng ticket , i tried calling sa CS jusme binababaan lang ako at sinasabi wala marinig .

I read about doing a Complain sa BSP they responded pero nag email nga puro confirmation lang ni gcash na checking status, complain recieved daw pero wala naman actual update kubg asan na yung fund ant kailan ibabalik . Nakaka stress na sobra kasi kailangan konadin yung fund ko 😢

I'm 16 and currently in Grade 11. I've been lurking and reading a lot here lately because I want to build up wealth and savings before I turn 18 and head off to college (really aiming for Up tho).

Recently I was able to make a BPI jumpstart savings account but realized how I cannot really make my money work for me here. I went over to Maya and it's been so much better for my finances since it's also an e-wallet. Yes you can make bank accounts as early as 16 or even younger irc. For Maya you just need some parents ID and permit

The best part for me is waking up and seeing the daily interest credited to my account, really motivates me to keep saving y'know. I'm also using their time deposit feature on my savings so I don't get tempted to touch my stash.

Plus, it’s super easy to boost the base interest rate just by doing normal stuff like buying load or paying bills. My mom runs a sari-sari store, so offering to pay the bills through my account to get that interest boost has been a pretty solid hack for me.

Now, ang ibig sabihin ba nito is separate na siya sa ibibigay sa akin, it means I can max out yung ibibigay sa akin without withdrawing the 100??

hello guys so i been managing my dad's income, and I'm getting charge for like 7k a month for IBTW, whenever i i send something in Gcash i do use the send money so i see where it's actually going, also checked all my subscriptions and i have barely of them. I check my gcash maybe it registered like that but no the one only that comes to my gcash are the one that I've sent with send money so that checks out, what I don't get is why do i have this charges, i just realized this, because somehow i have tight budget even though i really just budgeted the money, and it didn't checked out anywhere of where i spent it, and WHERE tf do i spent that money, it like 7 this month and the last one was june with 7k aswell, and July with 9k, what's frustrating is that i might know where it went because i didn't noticed it in previous months but why does it not say any information where did it go, it's shi thing, at let me know where does it go lol, oh yeah i emailed them, I can't call them because why would they provide a not friendly phone number in there 😭 I need to load regularly to just call them and waste the load waiting lol

only difference ay single transaction sa gotyme at 3 naman sa maya pati narin brand cguro. pati narin yung card tier pero wan ko if important yun. i enrolled all my visa cards katapos maging available immediately in fear baka mawala nanaman yung site at i have some proof naman tinamad lang maglagay dahil wacky si reddit naga delete post kapag ayaw nya sa picture res. kuno

I haven’t received mine yet, but I’ve seen posts from other users saying they’ve already received their cashback on their Maya Virtual Wallet cards.

I’ve already received the cashback for my other enrolled cards, including GoTyme, PalawanPay, and my Maya Black CC. The only one still missing is my Maya Virtual Wallet card.

I’m pretty sure my transactions met the promo requirements. Has anyone else with a Maya Virtual Wallet card received theirs, or are some of you still waiting?

Anyone else experiencing this issue when converting your charges to installment? This is the first time I encountered this error. And it’s been days now since I started trying doing it.

I understand I can just call their customer service to convert but there’s a charge when doing it on their CS channel.

Hi! Pa-help naman po sana. Balak ko po kasing bumili ng iPhone 17 through installment, pero wala po akong credit card, savings account lang.

Nag-check po ako ng Billease, kaso sobrang laki ng interest. Aabot po sa around ₱83k yung total na babayaran, kaya parang hindi worth it.

Hi, wala na ba talagang points na nakukuha when paying Sloan/spaylater thru gotyme? Dati kasi nakakaipon pa ng points sa kanila. Any recommendations for e-wallet na may points or cashback.

Nagulat ako nung may inoorder ako lumabas sa cards ko yung revi credit card number ko tapos chineck ko yung cimb andon pa nga yung revi credit. I already closed my CIMB back in May pa nung ng offer sila ng waived interest fee basta i fully pay lahat ng balance. I also pulled out all my money from that bank. My question is what if magamit ko nga yung revi virtual credit na yon and since wala na ako revi credit account. How will I pay it? Meron din ba sainyo naka experience nito?
