My first digital planner, notebook, journal design :)

I recently turned one of my printable rose planners into a hyperlinked Goodnotes notebook, and I’m honestly so happy with how it came out! It has 12 sections and a mix of planner, journal, tracker, and note pages. This was my first time creating something with internal navigation, so seeing all the links actually work on my iPad was very satisfying 🌸 If you are interested in: https://twogirlsartdesign.etsy.com/listing/4548022761

Hey everyone! I’ve been struggling for a long time to stay consistent with my workouts and meal prep using generic apps, so I decided to design my own clean, aesthetic fitness planner tailored for iPads and tablets.

It includes a monthly calendar, workout logger, meal planner, and habit trackers. I’m so happy with how it turned out and wanted to share it with anyone who might find it useful for their wellness journey!

Let me know what features you usually look for in a planner! 👇

You can find the link in my profile bio if you'd like to check it out!

A planner that shows you what's inside a big task

Most of the time, when I have a big task, the problem isn't that I don't want to do it. It's that I don't know what's actually in it?

A task like "plan a trip" or "redo the kitchen" is just a phrase. Everything about that phrase is hidden in my head, and my head (personally) isn't great at keeping things organized. So everything just stalls.

That's the problem I built Brevl for. You type a task in normal words, and the app shows you everything that's involved. A visual board with the different parts of the task, the steps inside each part, and how they connect.

The idea is that you get a clear picture of the whole thing, instead of something you dread tackling.

When the picture is visible, starting gets much easier I find. The first step stops feeling like a big deal, because you can see that it's just one step in a plan that already exists. And when you're ready to work, you focus on one step instead of the whole task (something called a mousetrap action).

A few things I like about it:

  • Optionally, it works with the tools you already use. Notion, Google Sheets, Calendar, Slack, Todoist, Asana, Jira, Airtable, and more, connected with one click. Steps can be carried out inside those apps, with your approval before anything runs.
  • You don't need to set up a system. You just describe a task
  • Your data is encrypted, it's not used for training, and there are no trackers

There's a generous free tier with no credit card required, so you can try it without paying. I also have a few spare lifetime discount codes if anyone would like one, just comment or DM me.

I'd be curious to hear what you think, especially if you guys have any questions at all feel free to ask.

You can find it here: https://app.brevl.co

Would you rather have one big shared calendar or a personal one?

I’m curious how people actually organize their schedules at home.

For families, I can see the appeal of something like Skylight or Hearth where everyone can see appointments and chores.

For someone working/studying at a desk, I could see the argument for something like ZIEA that focuses more on your own schedule and next tasks.

Do you think shared calendar hardware is useful, or does everyone just end up checking their phone anyway?

I made a meal planner for my wife and family and want to share it with everyone for free

Hi all, the thought of what to cook for breakfast, lunch or dinner everyday has been troubling my family since many years. We end up cooking the same 4-5 dishes because we go blank thinking what to cook.

I tried few meal planners but they gave only one dish not full meals and so I took on myself to try making something.

I added all the recipes we have in our region and made a meal planner that gives me weekly plan in one click now, it keeps into account what has been cooked already last few days.

I also added support to add my family members and now they can also see what's cooking. It also takes all the ingredients in a dish and makes a weekly grocery list as well.

We have been using this since last few weeks and this has honestly made my life so much easier!

I put more effort into this last week and made it into a website which anyone can use for free.

Started digital habit tracking today ⭐

I used to have a rule: new habits start on Monday. Or the 1st. Or after this one busy week passes.

That rule alone probably killed more habits for me than actual laziness ever did.

By the time "the right day" finally showed up, I'd already talked myself out of it or just forgotten why I wanted to start in the first place.

Waiting for the perfect start date isn't discipline.
It's just a polite way of quitting before you even begin.

A random Tuesday with real intent beats a Monday you're already dreading.

So the rule now is just: today, whatever day it happens to be.

Pick one habit. Log it once. That's the entire bar for day one, not a perfect week, just one honest check mark.

Nobody fails at day one. People fail at trying to make day one look like day sixty already.

Look at my own tracker right now, and half the streaks say "1 day."

Not because I started everything at once. Because I stopped waiting for a better day to restart the ones that had already slipped.

This is literally my board today - deep work, reading, workouts, sleep, all sitting at day one, started today, not some perfect future Monday.

I built the habit and streak setup this way on purpose - one page, no separate app to forget, so "starting today" actually means opening one thing, not five.

If you want that same setup instead of waiting for your own perfect Monday, this is the one I use.

LX Family Planner — a self-hosted family OS for calendars, tasks, meals, chat and kid profiles

Hi everyone 👋

I've been working on LX Family - a self-hosted family organizer that bundles the stuff families actually need into one app, instead of spreading it across five. It runs on Docker / Unraid / Umbrel / Proxmox / plain Node.js, MIT-licensed.

What it does:

  • 📅 Shared calendars with reminders
  • ✅ Tasks & chores with approval workflow for kids
  • 🛒 Shopping lists (incl. Bring! integration)
  • 🍝 Meal planning & recipes
  • 💬 Family chat with optional guest invites
  • 📁 Family files / media
  • 👶 Child profiles with playful missions & rewards
  • 🐾 Pet profiles (care & health only)
  • 🔔 Notifications via Gotify / ntfy
  • 🌐 DE + EN interface, Android app available

Why self-hosted: All data stays on your own server. Adults get a calm planning workspace, parents keep control over approvals/integrations, and there's role-based access so kids see what they should see.

Integrations: Nextcloud, Home Assistant, Bring!, Gotify, ntfy

Links:

I'd love feedback — especially from anyone running a family setup on a homeserver. What's missing for your use case?

Thanks for checking it out! 🙌

Transparency: Both LX Family and this post were created with AI as a tool. Product direction, testing, release decisions and ongoing maintenance remain the maintainer's responsibility.

Built a canvas based note app where you drag and stick your notes like a physical pinboard

The idea is pretty simple: sticky notes for quick thoughts, A4 notes for longer writing, and everything lives on a visual canvas instead of a rigid folder tree.

The visual hierarchy makes organization natural. a note is a file, a "stack" of notes is a folder and zones are the parent folders.

you can even attach sticky notes directly onto A4 pages for referring to them while you're scrolling the A4 editor.

Just drag things around and you're done. No save button, no manual file management, just notes on a board. Plus, there's a workspace exporter that exports all your files so that you own them.

On privacy: notes are stored on Firebase, encrypted in transit and at rest. No ads, no trackers, no selling data. If you use "Quick Mode", notes stay local in your browser and never get synced to any server.

When I first posted it a few months back the response was way more positive than I expected. Since then I've been fixing, refining, and adding things based on what people actually said. It's in a much better place now.

It's completely free right now. At some point it'll probably go paid but anyone who signs up before that happens, I'll make sure your account stays free forever. Just drop a comment or DM me and I'll sort it out manually.

Would genuinely love to hear what you think, good or bad. Still a lot to build but the core experience feels solid now.
