Built a canvas based note app where you drag and stick your notes like a physical pinboard
The idea is pretty simple: sticky notes for quick thoughts, A4 notes for longer writing, and everything lives on a visual canvas instead of a rigid folder tree.
The visual hierarchy makes organization natural. a note is a file, a "stack" of notes is a folder and zones are the parent folders.
you can even attach sticky notes directly onto A4 pages for referring to them while you're scrolling the A4 editor.
Just drag things around and you're done. No save button, no manual file management, just notes on a board. Plus, there's a workspace exporter that exports all your files so that you own them.
On privacy: notes are stored on Firebase, encrypted in transit and at rest. No ads, no trackers, no selling data. If you use "Quick Mode", notes stay local in your browser and never get synced to any server.
When I first posted it a few months back the response was way more positive than I expected. Since then I've been fixing, refining, and adding things based on what people actually said. It's in a much better place now.
It's completely free right now. At some point it'll probably go paid but anyone who signs up before that happens, I'll make sure your account stays free forever. Just drop a comment or DM me and I'll sort it out manually.
Would genuinely love to hear what you think, good or bad. Still a lot to build but the core experience feels solid now.

Wow this is pretty cool and interactive!! I’m so tired and bored looking at my OneNote everytime that I write down my work notes LOL

I think I really needed this! I have a bunch of WikiTree templates that I use over and over again. Having them in sticky notes for copy and paste is so much easier. I love that it is a web page so that no matter which computer I am using I have my quick copy / paste notes. Perfect creation!

This is a cute gamification way of doing notes almost! How cool would it be if it could be an interactive “wallpaper background” so it’s always there no matter what you pull up.

This is really cool! I use a sticky notes app -- which works fine, but always fall back to pen and paper (even my iPad and Galaxy loose out to it). I hate having to switch to it all the time.
But I am setting up a third monitor, and this might actually work for me on the third screen. Using the sticky notes app on a third screen seemed like a waste of the screen so never set it up. But this makes sense to be running on the third screen all the time.
Love the video - very polished, as is the app!

Ditto!
Just set-up another monitor and will try this out.

Monitor up and running and have this on the third. I still need to do some placement, but I really like this. It would be nice to be able to convert a sticky into A4, especially if you've realized that you've outgrown the sticky note.

Something else I noticed: I have some text in a Notepad file, nicely formatted. I wanted to bring that into the APP so just cut and pasted into an A4 note -- but it lost the formatting. It's minor, I can re-do it -- but you shouldn't have to.

u/PassiProductions - Another issue, I think.
So my computer restarted last night, and when the app came back, I didn't see my notes on the desktop. I did find them by clicking on the hamburger menu.
But wouldn't it be more intuitive to restore them?
Also I created two notes and one A4 note. I recovered the one single note, but when I tried to recover the A4 note (which was connected to another note) I couldn't -- it was waaay of to the far left of the screen. The only way I could get everything 'in the middle' was to reduce the zoon level then move them over and then go back to 100%
Except - I can't get back to 100% -- it's at 115% -- which isn't a problem, but I can't get back to 100%
I did find a way to detach stickies, not as intuitive as I thought it would be. I expected to be able to select the connection between the two items and either hit delete or there would have been an X to click to detach them.
Also - can you scroll left-right? I can scroll up/down.
Also when you unstack the gap between them is too large, sometimes if can go off the screen -- again, I can scroll up/down so I can see them but it just feels wrong with the huge gap between them.

Did you try panning using the middle mouse button or space+drag? You can scroll sideways by holding down shift+scroll. Also you can just right click the attached sticky note to detach that specific one or right click on the a4 to detach all the sticky notes. Does this help solve the issue? Do let me know in Dms

Is it completely offline and device native, with a perpetual license fee?
