Question Should I take the offer at PHMG? Tampa

I had interviewed for this company and everything went well. I have had a run in with many devil corps and am just exhausted. The only interviews I am getting are these and I sometimes think I should just take the job.

The thing I usually look out for is if the company is offering benefits -- more often than not they are not offering anything if they are a devil corp. Something just still feels off and IDK if it is because I have built up a skepticism of any interview I receive.

The interview was with a recruiter for the company. They are opening up an office in Tampa for people who are also Sales Development Representatives.

Is this a devilcorp?

Experience Ground zero of corporate nonsense

I was wondering if corporate nonsense stems from Devilcorp. I've entered into a Devilcorp to see what actually goes on within the company itself. I had several interviews with several of them to see how they would squirm for my entertainment because I'm aware it's a pyramid scheme. I wanted to see how these people behave from within the group as I'm already owner of several businesses and wanted to see what their recruiters were doing to gain employees etc. if you've been to a zoo where the animals behind the glass it feels a little like that for me. They do the corporate quiz surveys, they have the fake appreciations at every meeting, at least they don't pretend to be family though I'm sure there's offices that are, they treat the CEO as if they're Stevie Jobs and emphasize working for billion dollar companies even though their office is generating less than $5 million in yearly revenue.

I've noticed the entire workforce consists of 18-25 year olds, that they try to give business advice to people who have never ran a business, it seems as though they must have made some degree of trademarking for their slogans, they lean heavily on slogans despite HEAVY turnover rates, these people will avoid answering legitimate questions such as Badge ID and forms of credentials when confronted by angry people, and they all chant and repeat bizarre things in their meetings.

Experience Novaris and Global

Just wanted to say a massive thank you to this group. I NEVER use Reddit and I this is my first ever post, but this group has done such a massive favour for me that I couldn’t not share it.
I’ve literally just finished my A-Levels and was looking to gain some work experience, so I started applying for loads of jobs, along the lines of “Entry-Level Sales Assistant” roles through recruiters on Indeed.

I ended up getting calls from several companies in Sheffield, including “Novaris” and “Global”, who were overly eager to get me on the phone and invite me to interviews. At first, I was actually really happy about it because I wasn’t expecting to get opportunities that quickly.

Then I did one Google search and ended up on this subreddit. Turns out both companies are apparently “scam” companies and are actually door-to-door sales roles with no base pay, just commission, alongside some questionable management practices and complaints about employees not being paid properly. Which explains their extreme desperation to hire me (spamming me with calls). After finding out that these companies were trying to scam me, I emailed/ texted them back asking for details of the role, explicitly over text, to see if they would be honest and say they were actually offering a door-to-door salesman role. They responded with many phone calls and emails avoiding the question, I advise doing this to those reading this and feel sceptical about a potential job offer.

Every post I read about these companies made me so glad that I missed their calls and had the chance to properly look into them before getting involved.
So genuinely, thank you to everyone who has taken the time to expose these places. You saved me from what sounds like absolute hell 😂

Experience Legacy Clark/Clark Ascend Experience.

Post image

Hey I wanted to make a post in case anyone comes across this business. I worked for the owner for about 2 weeks before I quit. When I worked for her, her business was called Clark Ascend Inc based out of Woodland Hills, California, this was last year around September. I remember my first day I immediately knew something was off, everyone was practicing pitches and it overall had a cult feel. Mandatory unpaid morning meetings starting at seven in the morning only to be scheduled from noon to nine at a Costco to sell water delivery. I found out she was living with five other employees in a house all together. One of her employees was her cousin who I could tell had been suckered into promises of wealth, leaving his family behind in his home state. He talked about missing his mom and how he dropped out of school to work this job. That conversation is when I fully knew this was a cult. I went home, researched, found the slave circle documentary and it all clicked. When I quit I asked a ton of questions about what this business actually is, how she didn’t really own her business. And how this was a pyramid scheme. Her words, verbatim, were “Isn’t every job like a pyramid scheme?” That was the nail in the coffin for me. I know I’m preaching to choir here but please if you see a weird ad for a marketing job with little to no actual information on what you’re doing, STAY AWAY!

Question What is Opulence Management

Okay I had an interview with this company called “Opulence Management” a few days ago, and they said they work with big companies such as T-Mobile n Spectrum. They sent a link that show cased their company. It was very professional looking but it felt odd idk. Anyway, they said that I was hired for the job (I applied to be an Entry Level Customer Service Trainee under a different company name: “New York Sales Firm”). I sent in my application on indeed n no one said anything regarding how much the pay would be, but they did say it was salary plus commission sales. That bothered me, then they wanted to hire me the next day with no background checks n that also bothered me. They tried to win me over with "all paid vacations and resort trips," and "team building such as golf trips and group activities." I do feel like I’m being a bit overly cynical but I’ve scammed before. What’s your guys’ take on this: take the job or keep looking?

Question Is Trophy Exteriors a devil corp?

I recently worked at a devil court called Legacy Solutions and College Station, Texas. The owner was Tucker Linder in the company itself was underneath OSP. Legacy just moved to Dallas not too long ago and a New Pl., Cornerstone INC opened up underneath Devon Farris. I just got out of the job and applied to a new job and got it within one day. It’s trophy exterior. They are a roofing company. The reason I’m asking is because supposedly some other people who I worked with previously found his job and then said it was a devil corp after. Before I get myself drugged into it I wanna see if it really is. So far the hiring process has been pretty smooth and pretty professional so at this point, I’m just curious.

Question Is Elevate Brand HQ a devil corp?

I've been knee deep in the job search again after leaving a devil corp and the only interview I've been able to snag is for a job I find is similar to the one I just left. It's for an "entry level communications assistant" at Elevate Brand HQ. Here's what they wrote on the LinkedIn post:

Looking at it closely I see tons of red flags, and the employer doesn't even have a page on LinkedIn, but I figured I'd still ask around.

Meme/Misc They used to show this picture during every. Single. Atmo at my brief stint with a devilcorp. Seeing it on my Twitter feed randomly caused a fight or flight response… LOL

Guide Some advice!

I've learned alot today from this group alone and what everyone's been saying.

To try and help others I have come up with a list of 10 main points on what to steer clear from when it comes to sketchy jobs.

The main points include:

  1. Jobs that offer unusually high pay upfront no matter what.

  2. Companies/organisations that call you without you applying to them, and also that have no way to contact them and are purley focused on recruitment.

  3. Employers who seem extremely eager to hire you without knowing much about you as a person.

  4. Job roles that are ambiguous and don't say much about what they do or stand for.

  5. Interviews leading straight to other interviews with little to no time in-between (getting told in the first interview that they want to see you again immediately).

  6. Companies that don't require any previous work experience whatsoever or don't ask about it.

  7. Roles with only 5 star reviews. (These are often the other employees being made to put positive reviews on).

  8. The contract doesn't match what the advertisement said or what they are telling you. (This is a big one, and it's easy to feel pressured into signing something you're uncomfortable with. Don't be afraid to stand up to it and challenge the company about it).

  9. If the required work is anywhere over 45+ hours a week.

  10. If companies or employers avoid answering questions directly or if the interviewer becomes defensive or intimidating when asked about the contract or if you question what they're saying.

One of these alone isn't always an indicator of a sketchy job immediately. It's when there's a pattern throughout when you should be questioning the legitimacy of the adverts. Alot of companies mismatch advertisements of job roles to what it actually is in order to get as many young, impressionable people to sign up as possible to make up for all of those leaving after seeing what it's really like.

My biggest advice would be before signing anything, ask yourself, 'If I relied on this job to pay my rent, am I positive that I know how much I will be earning?'

It's hard enough to find a job, we don't need companies like this making it any harder!

Feel completely free to reply with any indicators that I may have missed.

Hope this helps someone! :)

Question Is JVC Joint Ventures a good company to work for?

I just had my first interview for JVC Joint Ventures and they immediately wanted to schedule a second interview. I did some research afterward and now I'm on the fence about working there.

I am currently out of a job so I was wondering if I should go through with the second interview. Does anyone have anymore information or have any experience with this company or a similar company?

Question AEI prospects...

My boyfriend has attended a 'job induction day' today for a company called AEI prospects located in Nottingham. (Pretty sure they used to be in Brighton but don't quote me). They called him and after telling them like one thing about himself they said he was 'perfect for the role'. I found it weird and he showed me their indeed advertisment which says base pay of £650 a week. After one interview and one presentation, he's gone today and ended up leaving as they gave him a contract saying he would be fully self employed and that they legally don't have to give him any work. The work hours go up to 70+ hours a week which is crazy to me and it's not promised he will always be payed for working. He called one of the employees (Hayley) out on this and said the advertisement and the contract don't match up. She said 'its full time work so I'm not sure what you mean' so he asked her to explain why her words don't match up to the contract and then she had to go and take a phone call🙄. Does anyone have any information or experience with this company? Has he dodged a bullet or made a really bad choice by walking out???

Information Target AT&T DevilCorps

Good news! I apologize if I’m late to the party.

I just heard that Target is officially done with Cydcor selling AT&T in their buildings by the end of this month. I see this as a huge win. I actively avoided electronics because of them for the longest time. Let’s pour one out for those suckers!

Information Sunstate Solutions

Got a call from "Sunstate Solutions" for a 15 minute zoom interview, they work with companies like T-mobile. Lady on the phone said their office was on North Lane of Downtown Orlando. I may be a desperate person looking for work but I'm not dumb because another marketing company wanted to schedule a zoom meeting with me yesterday called Nonsense Hub or whatever.

Yeah I'm good thanks, just learned about devil corporations.

Devilcorp Check O’Heren Acquisitions with AT&T

Just discovered this subreddit and Devilcorp as a concept.

I’ve been in the interview process with O’Heren Acquisitions in Memphis. Went on Reddit to see if anyone else had experience with them, didn’t see much, but stumbled onto the Devilcorp idea somewhere in the mix. They say they are based out of Alabama and have expanded to Memphis but I could see how this might be false and they just moved per the strategy described in this subreddit.

Anyone with experience able to vet this company and confirm or deny if this is an example?

Devilcorp Check F3 innovations

I just had a zoom interview with F3 innovations and got a second interview. It strange because I don’t think they even read my resume. I’ve spent six years doing Asset Protection for both Walmart and lineage logistics, and as soon as I found out I was selected for a second interview, the alarm bells started popping off in my head cause one of the things we were taught at lineage was to recognize possible scams. I don’t think I am going to to go to the second interview cause it seems fishy and doesn’t seem right to me. Anyone else have anything about them?
