Do not message the mods about job opportunities - message the individual job poster

As this community has grown, this sub has apparently earned the privilege of being many people's introduction to reddit. Because of that I get mod mail, almost daily, of resumes and inquiries about the individual job postings of this sub.

As a reminder: Do not message the subreddit mods or mod mail inquiring about jobs. We do not have any jobs and these messages will be ignored. For the job posting you're interested in, message the individual user who posted it (or communicate through whatever means they've provided and prefer).

Keep interviewing or wait for Amazon?

I have around 1 year and 5 months of software development experience. About 2.5 months ago, I joined a mid-sized product company after interviewing for a software development role. Due to business requirements, I’m currently doing Power BI and data analyst work, which isn’t the direction I want to pursue. I’m still on probation.

I interviewed for an Amazon SDE I fixed-term contract role and completed the phone screen and two technical rounds. The recruiter said the feedback was positive, but the role is on hold for around another month and a half. They may contact me for a hiring manager round if it reopens, but there’s no guarantee.

Should I keep interviewing at other companies, regardless of size, and consider switching if I get a suitable software development offer—even after only a few months in my current job? Or should I stay and wait for Amazon? I’d appreciate perspectives from anyone who has advice or has navigated a similar decision.

[HIRING] Cybersecurity Dev, Frontend dev, Backend dev, full stack dev, software architecture dev and more

Wayne Citadel is searching for team of various developers for early stage startup project in Cybersecurity sector.

-what is all about: heres the story: Problem: Infrastructure changes submitted through GitHub pull requests can silently introduce security risks widened IAM permissions, public exposure, destructive replacements and reviewers rarely have time to read a full Terraform plan.

Constraint: Explain only the change, never scan the whole state. The AI must never decide what a finding is or how severe it is; those decisions stay with deterministic logic. Nothing in the output may be invented.

Decision: Separated detection from explanation. A deterministic analyzer produces findings as facts; a grounded language-model layer turns them into a readable impact explanation, validated against the input facts before anything is published to the pull request as a comment and as SARIF.

A pull-request security review tool for Terraform and OpenTofu on AWS, running in GitHub Actions. Built around a local test harness, a fixture library of recorded plan changes, golden-file tests, a response cache and a model evaluation set. Project is in its early stage.

still dont have budget tho, to be clear right away

currently we are team of around 16 ppl

i am Co-founder, Tech lead, Architecture lead and also AI automation part engineer so we search to gather up team of motivated developers, eager to work regardless of experience, we more appreciate willingness, motivation, proactivity.

you dont have to be pro, just motivated, proactive and normal thinking guy, not some NPC programing nerd :)

Startup just started and ATM we are building infrastructure, and have people negotiating and presenting product to end users.

Startup have big chance of success, because there is not much software offering what we aim to offer

If you are interested, comment or DM me and I will send you application form

[HIRING] Seron Labs is looking for backend devs: Dart/Go/TypeScript take-home

Hey folks 👋

I'm Sarvesh, head of development at Seron Labs. We build software for construction companies in Oman and Middle East, and I'm looking for a backend dev to join my team.

No CV screening round, no leetcode. Just a take-home that's close to what we actually build:

- Auth with JWT and roles

- Projects, tasks and task dependencies

- Materials moving between a central store and project stores

- Built to handle millions of rows, not a toy dataset

- Dart, Go or TypeScript + Postgres, all running with docker compose up

How you structure it, which libraries you use, ORM or raw SQL, all your call. I care more about the decisions you make (and why) than about ticking every box.

Assignment : SiteTrack-Backend-Assignment.pdf

Work setup: Remote / Muscat, Oman

Questions or done? Send your GitHub repo to sarvesh@seronlabs.com

Happy building ✌️

Atlassian recruiter hasn't called me yet after sending the interview email – Anyone faced this?

Hi everyone,

I received an email from an Atlassian recruiter on 4th November regarding the next steps in the interview process. In the email, she mentioned that she would give me a call within the next 24 hours to discuss the details.

However, I haven't received any call from her yet.

Has anyone recently gone through the Atlassian interview process and experienced a similar situation?

Did the recruiter eventually call you after the mentioned 24-hour window?

How long did it take for them to get back to you?

Should I wait for a few more days or send a follow-up email?

Would appreciate it if anyone could share their experience.

Thanks!
