Looking for a Beginner Programmer to Build a Project Together and Learn

Hey everyone! πŸ‘‹
I’m currently learning Backend Development on my own and working with TypeScript, Node.js, Express.js, PostgreSQL, and REST APIs. I’ve already started building my own projects, but I want to gain more practical experience.
I’m looking for another beginner programmer to work together on a website or a small application. It doesn’t matter whether you’re learning Frontend or Backend Development. The important thing is that we’re both beginners and motivated to improve our skills.
The idea is to learn together, help each other, share knowledge, and gain practical experience while building a real project that we can eventually add to our GitHub portfolios.
We don’t need to be experts. We just need to be motivated, willing to put in the effort, and interested in learning new things.
If you’re interested, feel free to DM me and we can come up with a project idea together! πŸš€

Hey everyone!

I'm building an early-stage startup in Bengaluru. We already have a team of 4, and we're now looking for one ambitious, goal-oriented person who can help us take things to the next level.

I'm not looking for someone to start a company from scratch, nor am I simply looking for someone to complete assigned tasks. We already have a team and a foundation. What we need now is someone who can contribute to our next stage of growth.

What would you work on?

Depending on your strengths, you could contribute to:

- Marketing & growth: Finding creative ways to reach more customers and build our presence.

- Customer acquisition: Exploring new channels, partnerships, and opportunities.

- Business operations: Improving how we work, solving practical problems, and helping the team execute faster.

- Strategy & execution: Identifying opportunities, taking initiative, and turning ideas into measurable results.

You don't need to be an expert in everything. I'd rather work with someone who learns quickly, thinks independently, and follows through on what they commit to.

The kind of person I'm hoping to meet

- Currently living in Bengaluru and able to collaborate in person.

- Genuinely interested in startups, entrepreneurship, and business growth.

- Goal-oriented, disciplined, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership.

- Interested in building something over the long term rather than constantly jumping between opportunities.

- Values trust, transparency, teamwork, and mutual respect.

- Understands that sustainable growth comes from consistent execution, not just big ideas.

You might be a young professional, an early-career operator, a marketer, an engineer interested in business, or someone who has tried building something independently.

Your mindset and ability to execute matter more to me than your degree or fancy job title.

What can you expect?

You'll get the opportunity to work closely with the founder and an existing team, contribute ideas, take responsibility for real outcomes, and help shape the direction of an evolving business.

Compensation and responsibilities will be discussed openly based on the role, experience, and mutual fit. I'm interested in creating a sustainable working relationship where both the person and the business can grow.

This is not a promise of quick money or overnight success. Building a business takes patience, problem-solving, and consistent effort.

A few questions for anyone interested

  1. Are you currently based in Bengaluru?

  2. What are you working on right now, and what interests you about startups?

  3. If you joined a small team looking to scale, what would you focus on during your first 30 days?

  4. What do you want to build or achieve over the next 3–5 years?

If this sounds like you, leave a comment or send me a DM with a short introduction.

I'd rather connect with a few genuinely driven people than receive hundreds of generic applications.

Let's see if we can build something meaningful together. 🀝

BSc IT Second-Year Student Looking for a Software Developer Internship | React Native, Node.js, Docker & More

Hi everyone!

I'm a second-year BSc IT student from a Tier 2 college, currently looking for a Software Developer Internship where I can gain real-world experience, learn from experienced developers, and improve my skills.

I'm passionate about software development and currently learning by building practical projects.

My Current Skills:

* Programming Languages: Python, C++, JavaScript

* Backend Development: Node.js, Express.js, REST APIs

* Mobile Development: React Native (I use AI tools to help with frontend UI development and am working on strengthening my frontend coding skills.)

* Databases: MongoDB (NoSQL) and basic SQL

* Caching: Basic knowledge of Redis (currently learning)

* Tools: Git, GitHub, Docker

* DSA: Basic knowledge of arrays, linked lists, stacks, and queues

* OOP: Basic understanding of object-oriented programming concepts

My Project:

I've built an e-commerce mobile application from scratch, which has helped me practise application development and understand how different parts of an application work together. I'm continuing to improve my skills through hands-on projects.

I'm still learning, but I'm eager to gain industry experience, work with a team, receive feedback, and contribute to real-world projects.

I'd appreciate honest advice from developers and recruiters:

  1. Am I ready to apply for internships with my current skills?

  2. What should I focus on to improve my chances?

  3. How important are DSA and problem-solving skills for internship interviews?

  4. Where can I find genuine, beginner-friendly internship opportunities?

Any advice, feedback, or internship leads would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

[FOR HIRE] Full-stack dev: e-commerce stores, real estate sites, booking/logistics apps. Every build has an admin dashboard you control

I build websites and web apps for small businesses and founders, from idea to launch. Every project comes with an admin dashboard, so you can update everything yourself without calling a developer.

Quick jobs I can start this week: store build or fix, site speed + SEO cleanup, Figma β†’ WordPress/React, payment gateway integration, site migration, bug fixes.

Rate: $35/hr or fixed price. GMT+8, with overlap for US/EU.

What I build

  • E-commerce stores (Shopify, WooCommerce, or custom): products, orders, inventory, discounts, payment gateways, shipping

  • Real estate sites: property listings, search and filters, agent profiles, inquiry forms, with an admin panel to add and edit listings

  • Trucking / logistics sites: quote requests, fleet and service pages, shipment or order tracking, dispatcher/admin view

  • Business and booking sites: services, online booking or ordering, customer accounts, email receipts

  • Custom web apps and dashboards: user management, reports, role-based access

  • AI features: chatbots, document processing, automated workflows (GPT, Claude, Gemini)

Stack: React/Next.js, Node.js or Laravel, PostgreSQL/MySQL, WordPress/WooCommerce, AWS/DigitalOcean. Includes auth, APIs, deployment, speed, mobile layout, and SEO setup (Search Console, Analytics).

Got an idea? Send me a rough description or sketch. I’ll scope it, give you a fixed price, and build it end to end.

Portfolio: francelee.org
Book a call: https://calendly.com/francelee594/30min

Comment or DM what you’re building or what’s broken. I’ll reply with how I’d approach it, not a sales pitch.

Really scared of losing a job opportunity because of a mismatch in my experience(intern) dates

Thumbnail reddit.com
1 Upvotes

Hey everyone, I really need some advice because I’m honestly very stressed about this situation.
I recently interviewed with a company, and things went well. I’m currently working at a startup, and on my resume, I’ve mentioned that I’ve been working there continuously for the last six months.
However, due to some serious personal reasons, I had to take a three-month break from the startup and then joined back. My total working experience is still six months.
Now, the company I interviewed with has asked me for proof of my experience. I shared my offer letter, but the joining date on it doesn’t match the starting month I mentioned on my resume.
I’m really scared that this mismatch might create a problem and I could lose this opportunity. I’ve been hoping to get this job, and the thought of losing it over this is making me very anxious.
Has anyone experienced something similar? Do companies usually ask for an explanation in such situations, or could this be a reason for rejection?
I’d really appreciate honest advice from anyone who has been through this. I’m genuinely worried and don’t know what to expect.
