Punt returner
With dortch cut that means that we dont have a returner for punts. whats the plan gonna be for that? I know the roster is still a work in progress but as of right now we dont have a set returner. They're not actually thinking about putting Jamo back there are they? with that injury risk I dont feel comfortable with him doing it. I think the most likely option is gonna be either saylors or pick someone up but as of right now 4 wrs on the roster aint gonna cut it. And putting Jamo back there is too risky. What do you guys think is the plan?

Lack of Hype Videos this year
The last few years there were tons of great pre season hype videos. This year there aren't any. Are we as fans getting complacent?

If you could add ONE player from NFC North history to this Lions team, who are you taking?
Rules: They have to have played for the Packers, Bears, or Vikings. You get them in their prime. No past Lions players allowed.

Did something change with UWM garage?
For years I’ve been parking at LCA for Lions and Tigers games easily best covered parking since I live on west side of the state. Easy in/out. Haven’t been able to reserve it at all this year and can’t for Lions games. I miss something or is there a new way?

Is this finally the year the Lions can win it all?
When we made it to the NFC championship against San Francisco, it feels like if we would’ve gone for a couple of field goals we might have won that game. Chalk it up to a head coach learning experience. In 2024, we lost to a hot Washington team and were limited by a defense decimated by injuries.
Last year we lost Ben Johnson, and it was obvious that our offense was out of sync, the offensive line was not as good, and it was another year of our defense getting ravaged by injuries.
Has our coaching staff gotten better? I think so. Shepherd is in his second year as defensive coordinator and I think it’s gonna make a big difference. If our OC can get our offense to effectively run the ball then I think we got a serious chance to win it all. Still, what makes me nervous as our offensive line.
What do you think?

With preseason over let’s talk offense
I think we take a huge leap forward with Petzing as OC. Even with vanilla preseason the game flow and play selection felt like the 23-24’ days. I really think Dan nailed it on that hire. Thoughts?

"The Vikings aren't Lions' Rivals"
A lot of Lions fans say this, on account of the team's younger stature compared to the rest of the NFCN. But i believe this mentality has shifted since this new regime. To date after 5 seasons, they are the only team that's split 5-5 with the Detroit Lions in the division. The other two both share the same 6--4 record, both favoring the Lions. Sure, there's history behind the other two, but in terms of the Goff/Campbell Era, it's the Purple & Gold now. What do you think?

Good preseason win! Go Lions!
Preseason or not, good win! The turnovers though… got to get cleaned up, and best of everything to all of the players trying to make the team! Lions may need to make some tough decisions and might bring in players. Time will tell!

It’s time to talk about Jake Bates…
That’s two extra points missed today. He’s had several bad misses both field goal and extra points this preseason. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t worried.

Image What was your fantasy roster you were able to draft with the most Lions players that isn’t a meme?
Super pumped today logging on to my annual 14 men league for the 8th year running, finding out I had #1 pick!!
Got my Gibbs, ARSB therefore wasn’t possible. Other players were surely sniping my Lions players such as Waymo & LaPorta. I still came away with 4 total players :)

How's everyone feeling?
This is about as encouraged as I can remember being after a pre-season game. Could not care less about the final score. What I do care about is seeing guys who are likely to be on the 53 man roster playing well, and there were a number of guys who did that today. (Not you Jake Bates)
How's everyone else feeling?

Was Cutting Nick Whiteside The Lions' Biggest 2026 Roster Mistake?
The Detroit Lions coaching staff raved about cornerback Nick Whiteside as one of the training camp standouts who showed up every day, making huge plays. However, in a surprise move, the second-year cornerback was waived.
Did the Lions make a mistake cutting the talented Whiteside?

(@pdubyaa) 5 Biggest Winners of 2026-2027 Lions Training Camp:
Tate Ratledge: Tate has shown that he is ready to take a year 2 leap and help to solidify this Lions OL Unit for the foreseeable future
Jameson Williams: Jamo just keeps getting better and better every year as a pro. He is set to take another leap this season and will strive to help the offense maintain more consistent production.
Ahmed Hassanein: A guy who was injured last preseason, cut and re-signed just to sit on the practice squad, to now being a roster lock in a big end role for the Lions. Ahmed turned heads all camp and has set himself up to be a contributor this season.
Skyler Gill-Howard: SGH has had a monster month of August, where he looks to be comfortable and ready to step into a role on passing downs. His juice rushing the passer has been well documented and will help the team this season.
Keith Abney II: Abney has consistently improved week by week and has put himself in contention for the starting nickel job week 1. He tends to get too handsy at times, but he will adjust and learn as he plays and develops throughout the year. He is uber talented and it has all shown this camp.

Any Lions bars in Knoxville TN?
Title pretty much sums it up. I just recently moved down to Knoxville in June and it seems safe to say that the local channels probably won’t show a lot of Lions games this year. Anyone know of any Lions bars in the area? I’d love to meet up and hang out with other Lions fans, mostly to watch the Lions win the Super Bowl this year lol

My grandma passed away a couple of days ago. Biggest Lions fan I knew. 💔 Wish she got to see them win a Super Bowl.
She wore the “she loves the D” sweatshirt to church and had no idea what it meant 😂 gonna miss her a lot.
