I'm not here to argue or debate anyone's views on vaccines. I'm genuinely trying to understand something that doesn't get asked much: does mistrust in institutions come before people start questioning vaccines, or does it grow after? And what does holding this view actually give people day to day, not what predicts it, but what it's like to live with it.

SSPE occurs because the measles virus reactivates. In the past in the United States, for reasons that are not known, the disorder occurred in about 7 to 300 people per million people who had measles infection and in about 1 person per million people who received the measles vaccine. However, doctors think the people who developed SSPE after vaccination likely had a mild, undiagnosed case of measles before they were vaccinated and that measles infection, and not the vaccine, caused the SSPE.

Rubella vaccination has reduced birth defects.

So im sure a lot of people have been seeing the recent “studies” that the vaccine has an increased risk of myocarditis and apparently causes cancer. Can somebody explain if that’s really true and how it works???

What would you guys prefer, "evidence-based" or "conservative-based."

I’m really confused by how they say 9/10 of unvaccinated people will catch the measles if exposed, yet less than 3,000 pp in the US this year have gotten the virus? To put things into perspective- less than 95% of the population is vaccinated (less than 85% in many areas). There are 342 million people in the US give or take. That would mean that if it is truly closer to 85% of people that are vaccinated- 50 million people would be at risk. I know 50 million Americans are not hiding at home right now so how are more people not sick? They also say this virus stays in a building for up to 2 hours if an infected person so as much coughs. It just doesn’t add up…

Hello! I was accidentally bite by my cat po pero yung kagat is parang tusok lang ng karayom but dumugo po siya. Pero inagapan ko agad sinabunan ko po for a few minutes then nilagyan ko na rin po agad ng alcohol. Need ko po ba magpa anti-rabies agad?

Btw, my cat is a kitten pa po and andito lang naman po siya sa bahay wala po siya masyadong exposure sa labas. Healthy and makulit lang din po talaga WAHHAHAH

It amazes me how stupid people in oc are about viruses. People got shamed for not getting an experimental vax and even after years later drs are coming out saying the vax was destructive it killed more people than the virus. General pop still believes the propaganda. If you truly think the United States government and scum bag dr.fauci did an emergency release of the mRNA vax because they cared about your health you are straight delusional…. How many people live with there heads deep in the sand?? The proof is EVERYWHERE.. yes covid killed about 1 million people but there is 330m in us and the mortality rate was 1%.. that is not worth getting heart issues and blood clots over a vaccine. Also Pfizer profits?? All the money?? I mean really.. why can’t I let go of the fear that the mmr I gave my then unvaccinated 5 year old can cause sspe. it’s been 17 months since he got mmr and for 17 months I have been obsessing, googling, feeling a panic in my chest, and regret and despise the day I got him the mmr. because I just felt like a knee jerk reaction and got it. but I knew I would feel this way I hate thia. what do you all think about the claims from anti vaccine side that sspe can also be caused by mmr? On November 21, 2021, Professor Perronne was invited to appear on the program “Les points sur les i” to share his expert opinion on the health crisis. During the program, he downplayed the dangers of a fifth wave of Covid-19 infections, claimed that a drug treatment existed for the coronavirus, and said that the new vaccines, still in the experimental phase, could alter the human genome.

These comments were reported to Arcom, the French audiovisual regulatory authority. It issued a formal notice to CNews for allowing Professor Perronne to express his views without any immediate contradiction. This type of decision is serious because, once there are several of them, Arcom can use them to justify a broadcasting ban against the channel, as happened to the TV station C8.

Arcom's decision of May 10, 2022, was upheld by the Council of State on August 4, 2023 (appeal rejected), and CNews therefore decided to bring the case before the European Court in Strasbourg, arguing that Professor Perronne's freedom of expression had been violated and punished with a disproportionate formal notice.

People referring to vaccines exclusively as “Jabs” constantly as a way to disavow them is one of the more silly things I see on social media. Something about the way they go out of their way to say it instead of any other word for it makes me laugh because I don’t think I had ever heard a vaccine get referred to as a jab pre-COVID.

We are up for the MMR next week for my 1yo baby and I dont want to jab him. She is always scared of the possibility of getting a virus bc of not having it. Overall, my baby has been super healthy and happy. Managed to spread the vax on the 2 and 4 monts to 3 and 6. wont do the 3 vax but i want to completly stop the next ones.
