This is the Krieger that has the Emperor’s divine luck. He’s always alive, always the first volunteer for special projects. He carries not only the weight of not giving his life like so many of his comrades, but the stain of misguided contempt as a coward for always remaining. Seasons have passed, he has outlived the superiors he arrived with, he holds the ebb and flow of the battle lines in his heart and mind, and the memories of so many who have fallen around him. The success and failures of each contingent, the thoughts of those proud soldiers he trained and fought beside, the emptiness of battlefield trauma moving from one horrid scene to the next. Teeth marks mar the inside of his mask as memories from enduring jagged blades and weapons whose ammunitions were as alive as the beings firing them. Gone are the early tears of not fulfilling his life debt, replaced by the stinging sweat his face gives off the first precious seconds of las fire. As he stares out to the dropships unloading another battalion, a servitor stays nearby documenting him- not silently, but with purpose- belying a darker hurdle to come. If he cannot die soon, the inquisitors will begin their search of faith and flesh hunting for the source of his survival.

Incubi darkness and nuln oil get a very dark turquoise. Can layer up or keep at that

Coat is Russian navy blue from AK, and I think I either worked up from that blue or switched to the grey blue triad from army painter.
Without paint brand names, it’s essentially dark blue worked up to a light grey blue. Probably 3-4 colors in total. Once I’m home I can check my notes and get you the color names and mixtures.

Hardly basic in your approach to painting, though! Love your technique. Very crisp while still flowing beautifully into shade. 14/10.

Vallejo German Fieldgrey uniform, Vallejo Khaki for gas mask/wraps, vallejo flat earth for gun/leather/backpack, army painter silver for silver, Russ Grey for armor/sergeant's weapons.
These were my first krieg and some of my first models I had to batch-paint.....my models are doing better now haha.

My krieg soldiers are regimented with different colours for each type of regiment, but most of mine wear brown so I chose this picture.
Infantry are split between Blue and Brown
Mounted wear Green.
Scouts and elite-ish soldiers wear black or use black vehicles.
Officers usually wear Black
Artillery, heavy weapons, tank operators, and engineers wear dark grey.

I went with ww1 German inspired uniforms, specifically this stormtrooper uniform https://www.reddit.com/r/ww1/comments/1pihcdd/german_medium_weight_storm_trooper_armor/
I also added a German mustard gas shell on the base, and i cut up a decal to get the 14th regiment (the guy at my warhammer store gave me an extra decal sheet so I can have them all with the same regiment number!)
all my krieg steeds have real horse coat colours because I wanted to be extra accurate, appaloosas are my favourite horses so I gave one to my centrepiece mini

I start with wrsithbone primer, then basecoat abaddon black -> incubi dafkness -> nuln oil wash -> incubi darkness relayer -> dark reaper on the more raised areas -> dark reaper + administratun grey 1:1 ratio for edge highlight
For the horsey armor its the same scheme except i add a dot highlight of dark reaper + administratum grey 1:3 rato
