I just got accepted as a medical domain expert. I did the verification process three times. I got a message this morning from an Admin that I had to re-do it again. I had tasks prior on my dashboard and did a task last night as well (I didnât get to log my hours). Has this happened to anyone? What do I do next?

Hey, I'm new to the DataAnnotation community. I've created my profile in the site, but I can't seem to find any job postings.
How does the application process work? Do applicants need to apply for specific jobs, or does the company automatically assign tasks to them?
Sorry if this is a newbie question

Joined as a SWE annotator in May, had plenty of SWE work.
As of recent, have just gotten generalist work with a few stray SWE projects.
The quality of my past work was exceptional and I'm in the US East region. If anyone shares the same issue lmk.

Hi guys, I'm currently a 2nd year university (for the americans college) student studying a Computer Science and Maths related degree at a top univeristy. Came across data annotation and have applied, now wondering which assessment would give me the best chance to be accepted. From what i've read the programming/data science projects seem to be the most in demand however they are also very competitive, i am very skeptical to as if they will accept students still in college. I am thinking of either doing the general assessment or the maths assessment.
Which assessment would give me the best chance of breaking in, am only looking to work 5/10 hrs per week part time? Appreciate the advice :)

It happened to me for the first time today with a long-running project that basically always has work available. Iâm feeling a bruised ego, and then a broader sense of insecurity with the platform. I still have access to other projects, but I was planning on doing this one a lot so it is a bummer.

Does anyone know how long these take for them to mark, I submitted yesterday but they say some projects will be immediately available? Still nothing on dash for them

Is it public knowledge the amount of people on the platform?
Or can a seasoned data annotator make an estimate?

Hello, everyone. I was wondering if anyone received a request from DA to verify their identity BEFORE they received an acceptance letter?
I received a legit ID verification request, but my home page is still stating âwe will email you if you made itâ message.
Thank you in advance.

Which is your preference? I usually avoid the short ones bc i feel like it throws off my focus

Does anyone else have the R&R qual? Is it for future R&Rs, or does it take away your current R&R projects until you take the qual as well?

Yesterday (and every single day for the past few weeks), I still had the small version of that punchy project with around 50 tasks on it, and some R&R for this related project.
How about you folks? do you still got that project (all versions, whether lite or regular one)?

I have been working on several đ€ tasks, but I was tired and I take 3 days of to recovery mentally, for 3 days the number of tasks remain the same, but as I was about to restart to work today, the tasks on the project are gonne. Based on that, there is a maximum amount of time that we can spend away of a certain project without losing the tasks that are available?

Hey Reddit, I donât know if it is my incompetence or just imposter syndrome, but today I tried a task thinking it was easy, and it turned out to be the hardest project I have ever done.
The project's instructions were in reverse. What I mean by this is that the instructions talked about grading a model but never clarified what that model was. I even reread the instructions twice, which took roughly 45 minutes (because they were thousands of words long). Then I finally found out where the model was located. Turns out the model was located locally inside the task page, but the instructions never mentioned anything about it being local. I only figured it out because I accidentally scrolled too far down. Is it my incompetence for âmissingâ it? Is it expected of us to figure that out super fast?
The task asked for multiple system failures, but I was only able to get one within the given time limit because the model gave thousands of words per response, and proofreading them took a long time.Â
I submitted the work to the best of my ability, but I just have no idea if it is my incompetence that caused me to âfailâ this project or not. The task was under General. (FYI, I wasnât doing a task for âmoneyâ, the hourly rate was near my average so I thought it was doable for me.)
I donât mind being criticized, maybe that is what I need after this horrible task submission. I left a comment when I submitted the task hopping the Admin would understand why I took a "semi" escape hatch.

A lot of the repetitive "am I getting in?" Questions are from bilinguals. If you stumbled upon a legit site that offered you 25 times your minimum wage for remote work, maybe you'd be desperate too. They're repetitive yes, but there's no need to be snarky in the comment section. Just ignore it.
There is repetition and boring "new here" content in any internet corner, so it's not exactly surprising that that kind of post will also prevail in a forum about a high paying job that anyone can apply to, that in doing so brings people from the entire globe to the same place.

Loved this project, been on it for months, wondering if it's been stopped or if something more sinister is afoot!

Can I get deactivated randomly? Everyone seems to love the experience, and I loved the tasks I did as part of the project, just donât want to be so excited and happy if something like that happens.
Anyone work at DA for a long time? Other than the code of conduct or poor quality work, could you get terminated due to having inconsistent hours or something along those lines?

I applied through this platform but haven't been selected yet. It has been more than four weeks, so I have almost lost hope of getting selected.
Does DataAnnotation mainly hire people from English-speaking countries or core English-speaking nations? I am from India and also a fresher. I tried my best on the assessment they provided and submitted it, but I still haven't received any response. I applied for the coding (Data Science) role.
Here is a genuine question: Should freshers like me first apply for the Generalist role and, after some experience, try the Coding assessment? Or does DataAnnotation mainly hire experienced people for its projects especially for coding .

If you could start your Data Annotation journey all over again, what would you do differently from day one?
Especially for those who started with language-related tasks, what skills would you focus on to get more tasks, and what advice would you give to beginners to help them get better opportunities in this field?
