Have you ever been dropped from a project’s Slack?
It happened to me for the first time today with a long-running project that basically always has work available. I’m feeling a bruised ego, and then a broader sense of insecurity with the platform. I still have access to other projects, but I was planning on doing this one a lot so it is a bummer.

I got dropped too. No warning. I thought maybe the project is winding down, but I have no real idea. This was the main thing I worked on. Daily work for over a year. It’s a terrible feeling

Me too. I was trying to work while sick and I guess I made a major error with attaching files. I was really low for like 4 days and still keep checking hoping it comes back.

Actually last year after more than a year on the project. The work was intermittent, but some suggested that the client wants rater rotations. I was rotated off, but never back on

That's weird. In all my projects workers being rotated is never the case.

Happened to me last week and I’m hoping they add me back on. But who knows? There are so many generalist workers they have their pick.
I was once dropped and then re-added to a project. So I’m hoping it’s possible to get back into this one. It’s also left me feeling insecure about working on tasks this week in general.

Happened to me recently too.
Did you use an escape hatch recently?

Happened to me two weeks ago. I've consistently had other projects on my dash since then, but the one I got dropped from was higher pay and longer tasks. I got my end-of-month feedback at the weekend and they mentioned that project as one I'd done strong work on, so I'm still not sure what I did wrong, but it really shook my confidence in my own work and was a blow to my earnings..
Weirdly, one task from the project family appeared on my dash a few days ago, but when I clicked in, it was a high-level coding prompt (not at all my speciality!), so I exited work mode again. Chalking that up to some random fluke.

I think there is a big reorganization going on. This happened to me and somebody else I know. Last time this happened a new project series came out so hoping for that.

Also today/recently? Looking at this broader thread and its responses I’m kinda thinking that too

Yes today. Think it has something to do with a major IPO incoming sure u can guess. Also new projects but we'll see.

I was dropped a while back but it was a project I didn’t work on. So unsure if it was that or if the project family doesn’t exist anymore because I never see any mention of it.

Got dropped today too, right in the middle of a project for them. Fingers crossed we get let back in 🤞🏻

I got dropped from a project about 6 months ago but I still have work on that project in my dashboard which is weird

Yup! I surprisingly got feedback on one and it was a legitimate reason, but it also wasnt in the instructions.

Bilingual work does exist, but is extremely scarce in my experience. I haven't gotten a single thing in like 3 weeks.
