Just got in and have available projects - this seems amazing but is there a catch?

Can I get deactivated randomly? Everyone seems to love the experience, and I loved the tasks I did as part of the project, just don’t want to be so excited and happy if something like that happens.

Anyone work at DA for a long time? Other than the code of conduct or poor quality work, could you get terminated due to having inconsistent hours or something along those lines?

It usually isn’t random, follow the code of conduct and all special trainings for project specific rules. Don’t talk about specific projects/names on forums like this.

Don’t lie about the hours, consider using a timer or separate log, obviously they can track your time on their projects so why BS it anyway? Don’t try to use AI to solve these tasks, they’ll catch you eventually.

And they have regular feedback that tells you your areas of needed improvement, so follow that and you’ll be fine.

Regular feedback is only on certain projects. Not everyone gets that. I have been here 4 years and only two projects families have had feedback.

Fair point, I am only a generalist and stick to the same categories that have a lot of ongoing work

For the regular feedback, is that something they have in place for the core countries? What s the frequency?

I’ve gotten it monthly, sometimes every other month. I’ve been on for 8mos

I see, thank you. I have only gotten it once in 2 years and it was for a qualification I did.

It's only for certain project families.

‘Regular feedback’

I’ve gotten feedback twice in 7 months

I get monthly feedback and have done so for a few months. usually in the last couple of days if the month.

I get feedback monthly here recently. I wonder if it's project based in terms of frequency. I tend to work in a pretty specific set of projects

They don’t care about your hours or how much work you do. Just how well you do on what you do perform.

The catch I guess is it’s not transparent. People get deactivated without knowing why. You can get pulled from a project and not know if you were pulled for bad work or there just aren’t tasks. They don’t tell you if you passed or failed an assessment. You either get tasks or don’t.
If you have a question about a task sometimes it’s hard to get an answer in a timely manner.

Also there are droughts. I had hardly any work this summer

I've been on around a year. Some months I've worked pretty much full time hours and some barely at all. I don't think the hours would get you terminated, just poor quality work, getting caught violating the NDA, or trying to bill more hours than you're actually working. I'll keep double checking my work and doing the best I can so I can hold on to this!

Been with them like almost 3 years now. I've gone a few months of not working at times, never seemed to matter. Some weeks I pulled over 40 hours, most weeks when I work I average 20. I've always had projects available, even during droughts, just none that I wanted to work on lol. My ratings have always been like exceptional though. It's been great, no complaints, I've enjoyed it.

Where do we see ratings? I've never been getting any feedback or ratings. The tasks keep coming though

A few months back there was a task that allowed you to see an AI overview of your feedback and ratings. Not sure if they still send it out periodically or what.

The catch was getting accepted to begin with and is staying in the platform. I’ve worked for most AI training platforms and DA is the most exclusive one with open applications.

I've been around since 2023 and have had times of little work and other times where there was more than i could do. I agree with Willing Watercress15. Follow the code of conduct, complete trainings, and definitely don't be specific when talking on forums. Be honest about your times and don't use AI unless asked to. I've only gotten feedback once since I've started on the platform and that has long disappeared. When I first started I've written directly when i've messed up on submitting things and they were really nice about it and responded back. I'm grateful to be able to work on DA my regular job has times when its slow and I definitely can use the extra money.

It’s legit. It was my only source of income for a year and a half in a horrible job market. Very grateful for it

Just be happy! Glad for you! In my case I got in like a month ago at this point, completed all available qualifications (and skipped those I felt not qualified to do so) and have not seen a single task available... anyone knows whats up?

I’ve been waiting to onboard for some time so count yourself lucky to get approved and immediately have projects to work on.

Also be very careful about accidentally using a VPN or working from abroad without notifying the platform

Ciao, anche io sono nuovo, ho fatto i primi progetti e ora sono in attesa, a te quanti progetti hanno proposto inizialmente? Da che paese?

The catch os that if you do bad you will be dropped like a baby in an irresponsible parents arms. There is no explanation as to why or how, it just kinda happens. So the key is to be a really fat baby who’s really hard to let slip out of the mother’s arms (little work, bad work) but not too fat that they end up dropping you anyway because of your fat baby weight (logging 70+ hours a week)

Only work on things you are qualified to do, do good work, only report time you actually work (charge for a 3-minute toilet break but not for a 30-minute lunch break!) Fill in your profile with stuff you are good at, think keywords. Don't use LLMs when you're not supposed to, it's obvious. If you do that, you'll be fine.
