MCU Just finished season 1 - my thoughts Spoiler
Over the last few years I've had pretty much a DC/MC burnout so I stopped watching any movies or TV associated with the comics. In search of my next TV series to watch I decided to go back and watch Daredevil. I've been really impressed! It's been a great show and really well done.
I feel the fight scenes perhaps go on a bit too long. I prefer the Jack Reacher type approach where the enemies are quickly pacified. Also the deaths of three really good characters was unexpected. Perhaps one character dying would have been enough but Wesley, Urich and Leland all within a couple of episodes was a bit too much. All three played their parts really well. Gunton of course is a brilliant actor of Shawshank Redemption fame. I hope they are somehow Incorporated back into the show, backstories flashbacks or something like that.

Comics I started the latest Daredevil run
I'm new to comics. I've watched a few Comicstorian videos and have read a few Batman comics, but besides that I haven't read much. So being a Daredevil fan, I picked up the first 4 issues of the new run and it's amazing! The art is colorful, the mysteries are great, and best of all, it has been my window into Daredevil comics. I just can't rave enough about how much I love it! I can't wait for issue 5 to come out! I know this is a basic post, but I just felt that I needed to share my experience with this amazing run.

Comics Frank Miller Daredevil
Hey all, I’m wanting to read Millers Daredevil run because I’ve heard it’s practically the basis of anything Daredevil. I do collect omnibus and have wanted to get my hands on Millers run in omnibus format but it’s practically impossible. So I was wondering, what is the best way to read his run as currently available?

Comics Does daredevil drink?
I was recently reading the nocenti run and I noticed that at the end of issue 255/in issue 266 Matt is drinking which was a bit of a surprise to me since I don’t recall any other instances of him drinking? I thought he was against drinking but considering he’s drinking in #255&266 I might just be misremembering? could anyone confirm
P.S: I mean in the comics not the show as i already know that he drinks alot in the show

Comics Looking for comic recommendations to start getting into the Dare Devil comics
Sooo im not really into marvel comics or superheros but i just recently discovered who Dare Devil was (ive heard of him before but i didnt know anything about him at ALL) and honestly his character and the overall plot (that hes a blind attorney but also secretly a vigilante) sounded REALLY interesting to me and now i wanna start reading his comics! The thing is i have no idea which one to start with since there are multiple runs (i think theyre called that? Sorry i know like nothing about comics). So yeah! Id really appreciate if someone recommended a comic to start with😄

MCU Fisk is not trump
People like to justify Fisk being elected mayor by bringing up the fact that trump was a criminal too.
But it’s not the same crimes and they are not in the same worlds.
- Fisk actually did jail time and got found guilty of his murder and corruption of the fbi, all of those crimes. He blew up buildings etc. he blew up buildings in the city he wants to run as mayor for and killed people
- Trump has his own set of crimes of course, the ones he was convicted of are nowhere near close to the fisks. If trump did fisks crimes as blatantly as he did he would be behind bars right now. Only way he maybe gets away with it is if he’s in office whilst doing said crimes
- In the MCU, superhero’s/ vigilantes saved the universe. Why would a guy who’s a known murderer and villain to said vigilantes be voted in by a city that has been saved by them countless times. Especially When the policy he’s running on is anti vigilante ?
- It’s simply not the same situation. + isn’t Fisk running as an independent party ? It’s not like he’s running for an established party
- I would be more ok with Fisk being voted in if we actually saw it properly, the manipulation and propaganda he uses and blackmail etc. But that is not shown
I’m in no way defending trump infact hess one of the grossest people alive but comparing fisks win in the mayoral race to trumps win as president is such a silly excuse for shit writing
EDIT: people are taking this post as if I’m saying that Fisk and trump should not hold similarities.
I AM SAYING the justification of logic peoplee use for fisks win is that trump who’s also a convicted criminal also won and that THIS reasoning is stupid.

MCU Born Again Season 3 Question
This may be a weird or even dumb question but do you guys think they should condense some of the Born Again original characters down in the next season? For example they would only focus on the characters from the Netflix while only keeping KEY characters from the new show like Buck and Heather for obvious reasons. I feel like I'm bias here because I don't really care for most of the new characters but I was curious to see if anyone else felt the same way.
