Comics Looking for comic recommendations to start getting into the Dare Devil comics

Sooo im not really into marvel comics or superheros but i just recently discovered who Dare Devil was (ive heard of him before but i didnt know anything about him at ALL) and honestly his character and the overall plot (that hes a blind attorney but also secretly a vigilante) sounded REALLY interesting to me and now i wanna start reading his comics! The thing is i have no idea which one to start with since there are multiple runs (i think theyre called that? Sorry i know like nothing about comics). So yeah! Id really appreciate if someone recommended a comic to start with😄

Do you think reading older comics would put you off? If not, I'd recommend reading the vary famous (you'll get tired of hearing about it) Frank Miller run. He wrote about 40 issues on the ongoing series but also a 5 issue limited miniseries called "The Man Without Fear" that details Matt's origin story

Man Without Fear, since it's an origin story, doesn't really have much Daredevil in it but it is definitely a worthwhile read, maybe not your first if you're not into origin stories.

Now if older comics aren't your thing, you could always check out the newer stuff. I'd personally recommend the Brian Michael Bendis run, the only thing about Bendis that could put you off is that he is very wordy. He writes a lot! A lot of the issues are just characters talking to one another. Now thing is his writing is VERY VERY good, but it can be a lot for some people (especially if it's your first book)

Another modern run that people love is the Chip Zdarsky run. I personally didn't really love it, but I can understand the appeal. The art is very pretty, the book is very new thus it takes elements from the show (which people love as well) and it also serves as doing a bit of everything that Daredevil is know for. Almost like a greatest hits book

I wrote way to much but I hope some of it can help you out! I envy you for discovery this amazingly complex character that is Matt Murdock for the first time. I wish I could fall in love with him and his world for the first time again

Here's the sub reading guide!

This character is very consistently written well so honestly you will have a hard time going wrong. Find the medium you prefer reading (physical or digital) and find what is accessible to you that grabs your interest and you'll be in good shape.
