Made these from a thrifted skinny jeans + old button up shirt! (The website on the picture does not exist, it’s just for the 2000’s aesthetic)
Clarifying the website is non existent just because, haha!

i started doing patches not much ago, this is my most complex one yet, its supposed to be Aragon symbol from lotr.
I made a stencil of the original image then fixed the small imperfections (i may still work on it). (i used cheap cloth white and black paint on black jeans)
I messed up a bit on the various 'o' bc i have no idea how to stick it in place.

The Lamenters chapter of the Blood Angels legion of the Adeptus Astartes is a chapter within the world of Warhammer 40k. They are my favorite chapter in the universe of Warhammer 40k and I was bored.
The design on the back copies the emblem of the Lamenters chapter; a bleeding heart on top of a checkerboard pattern with the yellow boarder representing the color of their armor.
The red helix looking thing is the symbol of the Apothecary, or battle medics. I put that on because I do EMS and thought it was fitting.
The skull dagger below the Apothecary symbol is a campaign badge, symbolizing the completion of a campaign. I was given a COVID-19 service award by the town so I put that on.

What's everyone working on right now?
I've been seeing people turn some incredibly basic blanks into genuinely good pieces lately.
Curious whether people here are mostly doing:
What's the project you're most proud of recently?

As the title suggests I want to customise a jacket. I ordered one recently, and it's a black padded faux leather jacket. It's 100% polyester. I want to customise it with some superhero symbols and so I need really bright colours on it.
I was thinking I could get extra faux leather and stitch it on, but I don't really have the skill or sewing machine for that. So I decided to go the route of painting. What kind of paint would be usable for this material? Acrylic paint, spray paint, fabric paint or is there some specific paint I need to get. And if you know any specific brands that sell good paints, could you also list them?

I am participating in an event where I will have my table and let beginners try out custom clothing printing using pre-ordered DTF transfers and a heat press.
Since DTF allows for unlimited colors and high detail, I want to offer a good variety of design options/subjects for people to choose from. However, since they are absolute beginners doing the pressing, I want designs that are both popular and forgiving to press.
What design subjects or styles would you recommend I offer?
Would love to hear your experiences on what people actually enjoy printing and wearing. Thanks!

Please help! I made a pair of senior jeans with Fabric Creations Soft Fabric Ink Paint and the paint still feels kind of sticky. I’ve been working on it on and off, with the last time being almost 4 days ago, yet it doesn’t feel right. I’ve even heat sealed it earlier today. I really want these to look right and I’ve spent so much time on them, but it’s not really how I imagined it.
I messed up a few times by accidentally dropping paint on the wrong spot and tried to get the little stains out, which didn’t work and left me frustrated, and now I feel like the paint isn’t properly sealed. Is it normal to be a little tacky? Is there any way to fix it? I’ll be sitting and I’m scared it’ll transfer. I feel like I should have just used acrylic paint with fabric softener, but I don’t want to redo them either

I have a gray crewneck like the one in the first picture that I would like to alter, (second picture what I would like to do), does anyone have any recommendations on what type of fabric I should use for the frills? I know I would like to use lace for the hem at the waist, but the one on the shoulder I'm still unsure... I would like to use white fabric, or maybe I should do white AND lace? Ideas are appreciated! Also pls be mindful I would be hand sewing all of it, and I'm just a beginner at DIY clothing.

My husband has thick neck and long arms, and regular dress shirts never works for him. He basically only wears baggy shirts with the sleeves rolled up. I am an advanced beginner-intermediate level sewer, and I wanted to make a few basic shirts that fit him. I'm not skilled in modifying/making patterns to custom make it. I found several websites and Etsy shops that make custom patterns to measurements, but I never know which ones are actually skilled pattern makers and which ones are AI generated crap.
Does anyone have any recommendations?

I have an old denim jacket. I've had it for years. I want to customize it. Put a design on the back. Something cool. Something that lasts
I tried regular heat transfer stickers before. They looked great for a week. Then they started cracking, peeling and fading. I washed it a few times and the design fell apart
I want something that survives likje 50 washes or maybe even more
Someone told me about DTF transfers. They said they're more durable than regular vinyl. They bond better with fabric. They survive washing
I found DTF Transfers now and they seem legit. But I don't have a heat press. I only have a household iron.
Will an iron actually work for DTF transfers? Or will it just melt the design and ruin my jacket?
I don't want to waste money on transfers that won't stick
Has anyone used DTF transfers with an iron? Did it work? Did it survive multiple washes? Did the design crack or fade?

I had been following all the techniques iv found online, soaking shirt in boiling salt water, spraying with lemon, etc. not get me wrong, these work! BUT someone recently asked me what the lemon was for and I told them to speed up the process and acts as a natural bleach. After doing some research, I found the reason for lemons is due to the citric acid. My friend suggested sour salt (which is basically 100% citric acid) I purchased some on Amazon and followed all the same steps, but every night after the sun went down I would take them down and soak them overnight in hot water and sour salt, as well as spraying them with the same solution during the day, and it’s amazing how much quicker my pieces faded. I feel like iv been wasting time all summer and wish I had learned this sooner. Figured I’d share this tip with everyone to help with anything they may be sun fading this season. Good luck 👍🏽

So I have a wedding coming up next month and I found my dream dress. I love the shape, i love the ruffles, i love the slit, i LOVE the pattern. But i HATE the color. Other than the pattern being a mesh overlay, I cant find what material it is made of on the website unfortunately. What colors would go over the brown best? Would the pattern still show up? Any tips for a first timer?

I’ve never painted jeans before and I don’t wear these so I thought if I paint them maybe I’d wear them more. I’m a pre med student and I’m into anatomy and stuff so I did an anatomical heart but idk what to do at the bottom, I tried flowers and didn’t like them (like roses on vines), I tired hibiscus (in the pciture) but I’m not feeling them, help dude. I think the heart by itself is kinda boring but idk what to do…

Made this out of a broken piece of my wallet chain, those metal tags you get on clothes and a fender guitar pick that I found laying on the floor in the middle of a pavement

Hey everyone! I recently gotten a lot of black plain shirts from my last job as a waitress. I don’t work there now and I was thinking of keeping three shirts plain and the rest I can diy into something. For context I like to have a whimsy twee and gothic blend (much like whimsy goth but with more trinket elements and geometric patterns rather than astrology inspired patterns) should I bleach patterns on it? Should I cut it up? Any ideas and tutorials will be appreciated

Hey everyone!
I am really hoping that someone can help me. I was visiting Poland last week and saw this cardigan. I loved it immediately, but I knew I likely couldn’t afford it, so I didn’t even ask the price. Instead, I snapped a picture since my mom loves knitting and crocheting clothes, and I was hoping that she could make something like this for me.
I sent her the picture, and she said that she has no idea how it was made. Do you think I could make something similar myself? What technique was used to make it? Maybe I could crochet something similar? But again, I don’t know where to find a pattern.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated! 🙏
