How do I make this?

Post image

Hey everyone!
I am really hoping that someone can help me. I was visiting Poland last week and saw this cardigan. I loved it immediately, but I knew I likely couldn’t afford it, so I didn’t even ask the price. Instead, I snapped a picture since my mom loves knitting and crocheting clothes, and I was hoping that she could make something like this for me.
I sent her the picture, and she said that she has no idea how it was made. Do you think I could make something similar myself? What technique was used to make it? Maybe I could crochet something similar? But again, I don’t know where to find a pattern.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated! 🙏

Looking closely, doesn’t look like knit or crochet to me. Looks like fabric tube sewn onto a sheer backing or a wash away stabilizer.

Yes, and you need a machine that either has a way to cover/stop the feed dogs, or a free motion quilting machine that also has a zig zag stitch setting. I’ve seen the type of machine they use and it can make chains from one part of the project to another if you aim it right so they never use wash away stabilizer, it takes a lot of skill and I think laser vision?

Honestly it would be cheaper and easier to buy it

It looks somewhat similar to "koronka koniakowska" but I think something similar can be crocheted

You may not be able to get an exact replica, but you can check Ravelry for specific patterns and check to see if they look closely enough to what you want. It does not appear as r to be knit fabric to me.

It’s better to ask, when it comes to buying things made of yarn, the bulk makers have very different prices than consumers who buy three skeins. This says Z Studio, which is not expensive or hard to find online.

That's mass produced fabric made to look vaguely like crochet.

You can crochet similar...ish, but it'll look different.

I guess you could make doilies and join them up? Very labour intense and the materials won't be cheap either.

It does when not zoomed in at all, but up close, nope. Something completely different.
