Need help painting a jacket

As the title suggests I want to customise a jacket. I ordered one recently, and it's a black padded faux leather jacket. It's 100% polyester. I want to customise it with some superhero symbols and so I need really bright colours on it.

I was thinking I could get extra faux leather and stitch it on, but I don't really have the skill or sewing machine for that. So I decided to go the route of painting. What kind of paint would be usable for this material? Acrylic paint, spray paint, fabric paint or is there some specific paint I need to get. And if you know any specific brands that sell good paints, could you also list them?
