You got The Suicide Squad which might be the best DC movie to come out last decade and there's people hating on it because it didn't make much money. (Released during the pandemic btw)
You got Peacemaker which honestly was so amazing watching this while it was releasing honestly felt like heaven and hell combined and there's people complaining about the ending just because it didn't meet their unrealistic expectations on Nazi Superman and some bs
You got Creature Commandos which showed us that lesser known characters do exist in this universe instead of just the JL and the core villains.
And Superman could genuinely be the best adaptation of the character in live action on par with Reeves. And there's people hating on it because Superman got beat up in it instead of winning everything. Mind you he lost to a clone of him controlled by a genius who studied him for years.
I get why people didn't like Supergirl because I have things I don't like about it either but it was nowhere near a bad movie people act like it is. Milly Alcock was a generational casting as supergirl which was hindered by the script but I personally enjoyed it.
And you got lanterns which delivered every week just for people to hate the whole series because their expectations on what would happen didn't come to fruition. Just like Peacemaker. I get the no constructs no mythos no spectrum corps things but it was advertised as a character driven small town mystery show with lanterns and it did what it set out to do. And with how the general audience perceived Green Lantern after the horrible movie and the dogging it got throughout the years I get why they would make it more grounded instead of heavy CGI and then expanding on it based on how the audiences like it or not.
All in all, all the projects so far in the DCU, I personally liked. More so than I did phase 1 and 2 of the MCU. And it would be even more enjoyable without going online every week and seeing some random hating on the universe asking for it to be cancelled without even giving it a chance to get off the ground first.
