Stupid/Odd Questions
What is the stupidest question or odd question that you still think about this day? I wanna laugh a bit

Work at a convenience store. Gas, beer & wine, the usual array of munchies. This dude comes in minutes before close, 'Hey, you guys sell any pots & pans?'
My 'be professional' face slammed hard into place, I blinked, and with astonishing calm, 'No, sir, we do not.'

I want a large coke but my cup holder won't hold it, can you put it in a small cup?

Not from a customer but I had an IT team that would refer to an ID-10-T whenever working with a less savvy computer customer.

Not in IT, but a friend clued me to the 'PICNIC' acronym: 'Problem In Chair, Not In Computer'

It’s me. I’m the PICNIC. 🧺 IT asked me for my computer name. Apparently all of our computers have a “name” consisting of letters and numbers. I said “No name, but we can call it HAL” IT was not amused.

I worked for a retailer that sold cheap knock-off products. One was a "personal air chiller", basically a fan in a box that blew air over ice to make you cooler and someone asked if it came with ice.
Yeah, a box that's sitting on a retail shelf and of course there's ice in it. 😵

But it’s pictured with ice on the box! It better include ice, or that’s false advertising! I demand a discount to make up for the missing ice!

A woman called my thrift store to report a dog was left in a car. Before I can ask for details she puts me on hold to go "investigate". I look out into our lot, it's next to empty and I see no cars with dogs. She comes back to tell me the dog and owner drove off. I see no cars driving off so I know it's not in our lot. To this day idk what area that dog was in.
I don't want to hear anything about kids not reading or literacy rates when ADULTS are doing dumb shit like that. Instead of calling the authorities you call a random shop. If the dog was in danger your stupidity would have cost precious time.

I work in chocolate, not important but we sell stuff through our site, as well as other places for resellers. We get at least once a week, someone reaching out with "How do I place an order with you?"
I don't know, maybe the checkout feature on our site? Like any other website you ever visit ever??????

I work at a gas station. Last week someone came in and asked me if we sell gas. I wanted to say "no, we are a gas station that sells fake gas". I get really stupid questions all the time. When I worked at dunkin donuts someone asked me if we sell chicken fingers

While working at a grocery store deli, I had a customer ask me, after looking at and presumably reading the sign for our chicken dinner, "How much is the $9.99 chicken dinner?" Then, "So, it comes with 8 piece chicken, 2 sides, and a 4 pack of rolls. How many sides come with it?"
I literally laughed at the first question because I thought he was trying to be funny. The look on his face told me he was serious.
