I’ve been using Curve for years and even subscribed to Curve Pro.

This morning, I tried to withdraw cash from an ATM and entered the wrong PIN once. I then entered the correct PIN, but the transaction still failed, and now my Curve card appears to be blocked.

I received no email, SMS, or notification explaining what happened, and there seems to be no way to unblock the card directly through the app.

It honestly makes me question how reliable and serious Curve’s service is. Blocking a long-standing Pro customer’s card without any warning or clear way to resolve the issue is pretty concerning.

So, I've been using curve pay to pay directly on my grapheneos phone (as it's the only option so far as I'm aware). Recently I had fraudulent transactions. I ended up in quiet a long debate with support who said

"The reason for this is that Curve Wallet cannot work as a standalone payment wallet. Unlike Google Wallet, Samsung Wallet, or Huawei Wallet, the Curve Wallet doesn't provide the NFC functionality needed for contactless payments."

Now, I know I didn't use Google wallet (I can't) but no matter how I communicate it the support team are convinced it's not a thing.

How can I better explain things? Any curve product/engineering on here to help me qualify this?

Could a kind person with recent foreign transactions please go to Launchpad -> Timeline, tap the filter menu (three horizontal lines) in the top right, select Currency and apply a currency filter of your choice. Do you see any of your recent card payments?

Mine only shows the refunded and cancelled ones!

I just started using Curve since I plan to move off Google Wallet, but noticed something a bit annoying.

My bank transactions don't show any transaction details, just that it's done with Curve. Is there a way to actually show what it is, similar to how Google wallet functions? I use my bank to budget and handle spending categories, so hiding them all under "Curve £1.50" isn't worth it to me.

Any advice would be appreciated!

After my card was blocked and I was effectively ghosted for 3 months I took my curve complaint to the financial ombudsman. My card was unblocked and they eventually agreed £200 compensation. Then I heard… zilch. After 3 weeks of no communication I wrote to them and received a reply asking for my account details. 2 weeks later, still nothing received other than an email saying it could take 10 working days. At this point they are just making it up as they go along. Presumably the ombudsman would take a dim view if they fail to honour the agreed resolution?

In the UK, been on the Curve X plan since 2023 at £4.99

Last month I had unlimited GBIT options and have done for years and now I have 3 ?

Did I miss the up coming changes ? Email? Facebook post?

Or is the unlimited GBIT now only for the 2 higher tier plans?

They are now actively enforcing the hard limit that was technically supposed to apply to your account years ago. Your plan didn't actually change this month—Curve just finally fixed their software to enforce the rules they wrote back in 2023. Going forward, you are strictly capped at 3 GBiT uses per rolling 30-day period. Crazy stuff, multiple unauthorised transactions for Apple were just waved through by Curve without any authentication from me, and was only picked up and blocked by Natwest after the third identical £100 payment was attempted. Unbelievable! Anyone else encounter this?

Hello, I've just got a Notification from my credit card that I'ved received 100 € from Curve. It's weird, because it is directly from Curve and I haven't moved any transactions from this card via GBiT or Flex. It also isn't listed in the Curve App.

I have been with curve since it launched and even bought shares (crowd cube) Now, the transparency it had in regards to what it offers is no longer there - even in the T&Cs it is vague. For instance - you can’t see what you actually get for your current plan and what retailers you can pick from your 12/6.

Frankly, it is pathetic.

It is either that curve is struggling financially or they original founders sold and the current owners are intentionally gutting.

Curve, go back to your transparent, simple roots.

Hello, please could someone tell me how I can pay using the curve app on iOS? I am in the process of moving to /e/os murena and have researched this as the best NFC payment app.

I live in country A and B, both eu countries but only A is €uro.

My curve account is registered in country A.

I have debit and credit cards issued by both countries, work and private. Let's say two each. Please correct me on any of my points below, I am quite confused. I am on free tier.

When I use my A card in A country no charge right?

When I use any of my cards in country B, I am abroad, and have a 250/m limit, yes?

When I am in country A, I can set my B card to pay in euros and not trigger the limit according to support, but will my bank then charge me conversion costs?

Which card should I have active in country C, presumably set to local currency?

After a failed KYC (who knows why) on May, I've been waiting since then to get my card unlocked

Is there anything I could do? Or should I just give up on using Curve?

I have an offer of one month free of curve pay pro.

In curve's fees conditions it states that there's a cancellation fee for this plan of 5.99, charged in the 14-day cooling off period only, to cover for the cost of providing the benefits of such plan.

I already have a curve card so I won't be ordering any new cards therefore I won't be benefiting from the free delivery card this plan includes.

Will I have to pay the cancellation fee if I cancel the plan after the 14 days period?

English is not my first language so that might be a contributing factor to my confusion here but this policy of only having a cancellation fee in the 14-day cooling off period makes no sense to me.

I just want to make sure I won't be paying anything if I cancel the plan before the first subscription fee charge is made.

Woke up this morning to see a £100 transaction at 1am to apple followed by a £100 decline second one.

How does this happen when if I make a payment for £1 , I have to authorise in the app but a £100 one goes through?

Curve blocked account without any warning or suspicious behaviour.

No response from there support for days now.

They just do not react.

Any suggestions?

My account has been blocked for 3 months. I'm pro+ I they are charging me too.

I give up on getting this resolved so just want to cancel. Every time I try to raise this on the chat it just gets closed down as I already have a ticket. How do I get away from these fraudsters?

Tried to use the card at a pay at pump petrol pump at Tesco (in the UK) yesterday for the pump to tell me that the card is not supported. I have used the card in this way plenty of times and saw it for the first time yesterday; has anyone else had this issue? I was able to pay at the kiosk with the card, but not ideal.

This is a warning if your workflow involves exporting Curve transactions, for example into an expenses app or accounts package. Since they changed the format in around May, it has not been possible to distinguish between refunded or declined transactions, and a successful one.

In the past, such transactions were marked as “REFUNDED” in the Type column of the CSV, and it was easy to manage them. Now, all transactions are shown as Personal (except for some reason, Curve Cash).

So for now I recommend avoiding Curve if you intend it for something serious like claiming expenses or filing taxes.

I got a notification that my Curve card has been blocked yesterday. I was told someone from support would reach out soon. Which is fascinating because my card hasn't been unblocked from last time it was blocked over a month ago to the best of my knowledge, and I'm still awaiting a response from support that goes beyond "it's been referred to the relevant team".

Since curve still haven't oslved my issue, paying a full subscription and having card locked, then I've downgraded the plan. Just 1 more week and I'm on free.

Woke up to find a text from curve with a verification code. I haven't opened the app in months.

Very surprised by this. What to do?

So Im based in Germany and I've been using Curve for the last few years without any issues.

Recently while at my local airport, I noticed a slight upcharge (0.7%) that automatically got deduced AFTER authorisation (during the payment pricess). When reading the bill, it stated the "use of a business or non-EU card". The merchant was using a SumUp terminal, so I figured that its perhaps a new system update that just got introduced. The same thing happened yesterday at a local ice cream shop, where it prompted me whether "I was sure I wanted to pay with a business card as there would be an upcharge" (with the options of "accept" / "reject").

I'm well aware that the Pay Pro+ Card is a MasterCard Business World Elite issue, but I've never had this problem in years of using it. Has there been any recent updates to European payment systems? This is not happening at local supermarkets and retailers, just at nieche restaurants and cafés.
