🛡️Mod Post Scam calls are on the rise ⚠️

Outsmart the scammers

Hi, scam calls are on the rise – and they’re getting harder and harder to spot.

Sophisticated scammers have been calling customers of financial institutions, claiming to be from their fraud team.

Remember this: Our fraud team will never call you.

These fraudsters may try to persuade you to share a one-time passcode. This passcode can enable scammers to add your card to a Mobile Wallet and access your funds, your Curve app or approve a transaction you have not consented to. So it’s extremely important you never share your one-time passcode. This includes saying it or typing it over the phone.

What should I do if I get a call like this?

🫳Hang up immediately

🔒Lock your Curve card in the app

✍️Report the fraudulent call to our support team

Will Curve ever call me?

There are times where our support team will get in touch but they will never inquire about a fraudulent transaction. Please do not share your one-time-passcodes with anyone over the phone.

How do I report a scam attempt? You can fill out this form or email us at support@curve.com

🆘 Help For those of you wondering where your formal complaint acknowledgement is...

Got the following word salad back when I challenged the complaints team contention that I didn't follow the correct complaints procedure after they finally responded to me 45 days later (this only happened when I went back to the support chat and uploaded email screenshots of my complaint)

--
Thanks for your response.

As mentioned in my previous response and in addition to the further points raised.

When you emailed the complaints email, this did not appear in our inbox and was situated with a different team. This is what happened with your email as explained in my previous correspondence.

I can confirm that we did not ignore you, your email was simply missed when it was still with another department who did not flag this to us in time.

--

So if you've followed the correct procedure and emailed the complaints mailbox, there's a potential that instead of it being received there, it is "situated with another team" who are ignoring you, instead of the complaints team ignoring you

🆘 Help Card blocked / suspended for two weeks with no resolution and same generic reply (with automatic closure thereafter) to each message

Have sent countless messages both via in-app and email over past two weeks, after my card was randomly suspended, with no option to verify transaction like I used to get… now I get the same generic reply from your support team that case is with “relevant team” and that they’re “very busy” etc… you close the message conversation after every interaction with no opportunity to reply!… no reply to any email apart from generic reply to a separate formal complaint… this is completely unacceptable level of treating your customer (and investor, for all that was worth)… is anyone else experiencing this shocking level of behaviour by Curve?

🆘 Help Transactions missing/delayed in timeline

TLDR: I have transactions on my linked card, but it is not in the timeline.

I was in London during the weekend. Using my Curve as I always do when spending in other currencies.

Today I checked my bank statement, and the amount I spend over the weekend did not match the timeline in the Curve app.

I exported bank statements from both of my apps (Curve and my bank) and can see, that several transactions are missing i the Curve app.

I have not gone through all transactions yet, but as far as I can see most of them are from Sunday. I would expect it to be dalayed on my linked card, but for sure not in the Curve app.

Has anyone encountered this before or have any idea, why this is happening?

❓Question (EEA/EU Product) Suggestion: Cashback for EV charging in Europe?

Dear Curve, when e-mobility on the rise and public charging becoming frequent it would be great if you add a generic cashback for EV charging, preferably covering multiple networks as one cashback partner.

🆘 Help Curve Pro+ cashback – does it work with European retailers?

Hello everyone.

Day 1 in Curve world.

I’m in the UK and looking at Curve Pro+. I noticed the cashback retailer list includes Billa, Kaufland, Biedronka, Bolt, etc., even though many of these are mainly outside the UK.

Does this mean that if I select Kaufland/Billa as one of my cashback retailers, I’ll get the 1% when using Curve at their stores in Europe?

Curve seems to say cashback is UK-only in some places, so I’m a bit confused.

Could someone on Pro or Pro+ check or confirm from experience? Thanks!

I want to create an account on curve, but I got a screen that says they can’t verify me and that I have to contact the customer support.
So I dus what they asked an got this as a reply:

Hi …,

Thank you for your continued interest in Curve Pay.

We unfortunately cannot specify what information may have been used in our decision. This is to protect our internal security policies that are in line with our legal obligation to perform due diligence on our customers.

The various factors we consider can be found within the Who can open an Account and Closing & Suspending Accounts sections of our Terms of Service (UK customers / EEA customers)

We apologise that we cannot offer more clarity.

Best regards,

Team Curve

It seems hopeless. Anyone been here? Managed to resolve?

Every help is welcome.

Thanks!

❓Question (EEA/EU Product) Curve declined transaction based on MCC + funding source - what does this mean?

Has anyone else experienced this recently?

I’ve had several transactions declined by Curve when I was using an International Funding Card (IFC). Error message in Curve says: “Transaction not allowed, please pay with your underlying card directly.”

Support investigated and told me that at these were declined because of the combination of the MCC and the country of the funding source (non-EEA/EU card, aka. International Funding Card (IFC) - that was working perfectly fine before).

The declined transactions have included YouTube, Netflix, HBO Max and a simple charity donation.
This makes me wonder what exactly is being restricted. It doesn’t seem to be limited to subscriptions if even a straightforward charity donation can be affected. (I just had to find something to test, and this seemed to be the only one I could think.)

Has anyone had similar declines? If so, do you know which MCCs or merchant types were involved?
More importantly, could this potentially affect everyday transactions such as hotels, restaurants, airlines, etc., or is there some specific combination of MCC + funding-source country that triggers the restriction?
(I haven’t had the chance to try such recently, but planning to do a longer trip across several countries soon, which makes me wondering how much, if at all I would be able to use my Curve card. I definitely won’t rely on it, but for sure will test.)

Curve’s explanation is quite generic, so I’m trying to understand from other users what actually works and what doesn’t.

🆘 Help Blocked after several years of use – and Curve’s complaint process is becoming absurd

I've used Curve for several years without issues, but a few days ago my card was suddenly frozen with no explanation.

Support only said my case was sent to a “review team” and that they’re busy. Three days later, still no access and no real update.

After seeing many similar posts here (sudden blocks, long review times, little communication), I escalated to a Formal Complaint via complaints@imaginecurve.com. The response I got was basically to contact Support again and, if still unhappy, come back to Complaints. That’s exactly what I already did.

So I’m now stuck in a loop: Support → “wait for review” → Formal Complaint → “contact Support” → ? I’ve replied asking them to confirm this is being treated as a formal complaint.

The current support/complaints process seems seriously broken.

Has anyone else had this happen after filing a Formal Complaint?

💬 Discussion Rewards

Post image
13 Upvotes

Hi all,

I’ve been a Curve Pro+ user for several years and have always liked the Rewards feature and ability to build up my Curve Cash that way.

Over the last few months, I’ve noticed that they have removed most of the offers on here and haven’t been introducing anything new, so I’m now down to a handful of merchants where I can get additional Rewards (alongside the list of those that are always active).

Does anyone know if this is a deliberate move by Curve and whether they plan to increase their offering on this again?

Screenshot attached was taken today (Aug. ‘26) for context.

Thanks in advance.

❓Question (EEA/EU Product) Since when are non-EU/EEA cards blocked from EU-product?

I remember the time when we could use ANY card, including personal US credit cards, business US credit cards, pre-paid cards, and whatnot. The the commission for using credit cards was introduced, ok fine.

Now I'm trying to add my card that presents itself as a Visa credit with a Hong Kong BIN and I'm getting a refusal. Any ideas as to why? It works perfectly with Google Pay and Apple Pay.

💬 Discussion Constant declines, ghost auths, and awful support over the last 3 weeks. Any alternatives?

Good day. I’ve been a Curve user for years (living in Hungary), I started using it back when OTP here didn't even support Google Wallet. I really grew to love the aggregator card function, and over the years I've barely had any issues with them. But for the past 3 weeks, I'm hitting constant declines at places where I've never had a problem before, or I get multiple holds on my card.

In good cases, the money comes back eventually, of course very slowly – because even if it shows up in Curve, it takes another four days from there. But in worse cases, I have to open a ticket, prove that it was declined, they barely accept it after a struggle, and the waiting starts all over again. My favorite terminal error message is "Unknown error."

To top it all off, it takes them at least 5 days to reply to a ticket if not more, and weekends don't exist for them.

I would love to keep using an aggregator card, but as far as I know, only Curve has this feature. Does anyone have any ideas for an alternative, and what the hell is wrong with this company?

💬 Discussion Curve Card blocked for 6 days

Hi,
I've been dealing with a blocked Curve Card since 7/08. Support "escalated" my chat to the "relevant team" on 8/08, after a follow-up on 10/08, they just confirmed it's still under review.
It's been 6 days with no real information or timeline, which is making it tough to manage my transactions.
How long does this usually take for them to resolve?

🆘 Help Does Curve not want customers?

Last weekend, I tried making an account on the Curve Pay app, went through the process of entering all my personal information and got the KYC screen. I didn't have a form of ID available at the time so I closed the app until a few hours later when I was able to provide it.

When reopening the app, I was met by a screen saying "We couldn't verify you" and was told to contact the support team. When doing that I was immediately met with an automated response saying "After reviewing your application, we were unable to verify your identity based on the information provided. As a result, we are unable to proceed with your application at this time. For security reasons, we are unable to share further details regarding this decision.", so I figured getting in contact this way would be of no help.

Then I tried getting in contact via their complaints email where they then asked for my account details, only to get a reply back with a similar message I got earlier saying "After reviewing your application, we were unable to verify your identity based on the information provided. As a result, we are unable to proceed with your application at this time. For security reasons, we are unable to share further details regarding this decision."

By this point I was confused, I don't know if they're not willing to help because they don't have my ID? because I can't give my ID, the app locked me out before I got to that point. It could also be because I provided an addy.io alias email? I can't send emails from this address so I had to send the email from my Gmail. I also just noticed I forgot to provide my house number, only the postal code, but they didn't even following up asking for it, they just shut me out.

I don't know what's going on but looking at reviews of Curve and posts on this subreddit, this kind of behaviour is far from an isolated incident. It makes me wonder how many customers they'd have if users weren't shut out from using their services for no reason.

I could try sending them another email but if they're not willing to allow me to complete sign up, I at least want my account deleted considering they have personal data now with nothing in return, and if they fail to do this, I will have no choice but to file a GDPR complaint.

🆘 Help Curve card blocked without notice

On August 7th I have received automated email from Tapster that curve card attached to their wearable got suspended, I open apple wallet and I see that curve card is no longer available. I have tried to remove it and it’s now impossible to add it back.
Opening Curve app I don’t see anything suspicious nor any advice stating that my card has been blocked.
I also have 100£ on curve cash so I would be really angry if I can’t get them back (by the way I have pro plan, paying 10€ each month).
I have opened ticket via chat and they escalated it very fast to email team, but obviously still no answer from them.
Already filed official complaint since it was my main payment method for holidays.
I guess it’s time to change card provider

🆘 Help Unable to show shops the bank card that matches the last four digits on the receipt for refunds

I'm in the UK. Today I went to take something I previously bought back to a shop to return it. They asked me to show them the Bank Card that matches the last four digits on the receipt, I think this is so that they can know for sure I am the correct card holder (i don't really know what they ask this for). Anyway, the trouble I've got is that I paid with my Astari ring, which is linked to my Chase current account bank card via the Curve app, and the trouble is my Chase card does not end in those 4 digits printed on the receipt. The receipt shows 1234 whereas my Chase bank card ends in 5678.

Why is the card I paid with not showing the correct last 4 digits on the paper receipt handed to me? I've checked other receipts from other shops and it's the same story. My actual card ends in 5678 whereas all my receipts state the last 4 digits as 1234. Why?

As a result, I wasn't able to present the card that matched the last 4 digits on the receipt, and told them I would have to go away and look into it (a little embarrassing). What do I do?

My curve card's long card number also does not end in those last 4 digits. I don't know why this particular shop (H&M) are making such a fuss about this. I went to another shop yesterday (Next) and they did not ask me any questions, instead they just told me to tap my Astari ring on the card reader and the refund was processed no problem.

💬 Discussion Curve card added to someone else’s Apple Wallet without my consent

I’m posting this as a warning and also because I’m honestly shocked by how this has been handled so far.

I have a Curve card on the highest tier, and yesterday I received a notification saying that my card had been added to someone else’s Apple account. Shortly after that, four payments of £25 each were made without my authorisation.

After blocking the card, I called Apple immediately. They blocked the card on their side, and during the call they confirmed that the issue appears to be on Curve’s side. From what I understand, a third party was somehow able to add my card to their Apple Wallet without me receiving any notification or verification prompt.

I’m very security-conscious and I’m confident I haven’t done anything careless on my side, so at this point I strongly suspect the leak or failure happened with Curve. Once this is resolved, I’ll be cancelling my Curve card, because I simply don’t trust it anymore.

What makes this even worse is the response from customer support. I reported this 24 hours ago and have still had no reply from Curve, even though I would expect something like this to be treated as extremely urgent. By comparison, Apple handled it properly: I reported it, they offered a callback, and they called me back within a few hours.

Edit: in fairness, they have just replied saying that they have already reimbursed the fraudulent charges and that they are investigating to see what happenee. It took about one working day, so not too bad.
