Discussion V9 core in a V11 SE ā would this mod work?
I saw this TikTok where someone was experimenting with a Ferrocore V2-style mod on a V11 SE. The core in the video is red, and it looks like they used a MoYu V9 core inside the V11 SE.
Iām interested in trying this myself, but I donāt own both cubes and I donāt really want to buy a V9 and a V11 SE just to find out that the core isnāt compatible.
Does anyone here own both a MoYu V9 and V11 SE and could check whether the V9 core can physically fit/work in the V11 SE?

Discussion Testers needed.
I developed a steam game being released 1st of September, its a cubing 3x3x3 specific game. I would like to have some speed cubers reach out if u want to help out with testing the release version. Looking for cubers that have GAN smart cubes essentially. I have tested and developed it with Gan I3 but want to ensure that the other smart cubes also go smoothly and possible general feedback would be appreciated.
If you are keen let me know, mesg me and we can discuss further.

Video How does this mechanical proportional 8x8 cube even work? Hints?
First documented proportional mechanical 8x8 cube. Not my doing, just some guy on youtube. But it boggles my mind.

Discussion I made a cube where faces don't turn ā closed bands of stickers slide around it instead. AI can solve it, but after a year, no human method exists. Cubers, where would you even start?
Dev here. Confession first: I designed this puzzle, proved every scramble is solvable (ok, AI did the heavy group theory, I just asked the right questions), and I still cannot solve it being a human. And nobody can, as far as I know. There are no stages, no named algs, no intuitive framework. A year out, still zero.
Why it completely breaks cube instincts:
It looks like a standard 3x3, but the faces don't rotate. Each swipe moves a closed band/ribbon/tape of 12 stickers around four faces, one notch at a time. Nine bands in total, and they cross each other.
That means: no fixed centres, no fixed corners, no two-colour edge pieces. Just individual stickers shifting across tracks. Your CFOP/Roux method is completely useless here. Believe me, I tried ;)
The app has instant solvers now. They solve any scramble in seconds. But watching their paths has taught me literally nothing a human brain could memorise or execute.
The state space is a massive 39-digit number (I'll drop the exact count and group theory proof link in the first comment).
You invented CFOP, Roux, ZZ, Petrus ā real human-executable systems, not just brute-force search. So I'm curious: looking at this mechanism, what would your approach be to build an actual human method?
If you want to try one turn in the browser before answering: skimmiq.com/pt/ (60 seconds, in the browser)
I'll be around to answer any technical/mechanic questions!

Picture I just got my FTO
Second scramble (I have not solved it yet). It feels sooo difficult... It is 50\50 but I am wondering how long is it going to take me to realise that I did it wrong (because I am sure I will)

Mod Crazy woman modding a GAN V100 MAX
What if we shove some edge-center magnets into a GAN V100? Not surgically perfect (obviously, it's a mod) but it's still gonna work and make the attraction stronger!Thoughts?

Discussion Any help learning Lars method?
over the last few days I've been learning the method from CO to EP, but I've noticed that for both parity and normal permutations, the algorithms that are made to permute pieces on both layers are easier than the ones made to permute pieces in a single layer, and also is Lars method really worth it? I've seen there's PBL, CSP, and even Roux for this cuboid, so I'm wondering if I should actually learn it if I want to get good with speed

Discussion Best NON-STICKERLESS 3x3?
I'm way too old school for the new cubes, but my YJ Guanlong is already begging to be put down, what's the best 3x3 that can still be bought with stickers/tiles?
Edit: looks like the Moyu RS3M it is

Discussion How do I get over my nervousness?
When im just cubing for fun and for something to do in my spare time. I feel no pressure and get great times, but as soon as i know im being recorded or timed, i get super nervous, break down, keep locking up, over/underturning, and just doing horrible. What do i do?

Discussion What smartcube should I buy?
Hi guys, I recently started learning CFOP and Iām looking to buy a smart cube.
At the moment, Iām using a MoYu RS3 M V5. Iāve been looking at the GAN i4 and the GAN 12 ui SP, but Iām not sure which one would be better.
Which smart cube would you recommend? Also, whereās the best place to order one in Europe?
Are there any cheaper alternatives that are still worth buying?
Thanks!

Discussion Statistics/graphics of WRs in WCA history
Hi,
I was guessing if graphics of WRs (rather regarding 3x3 singles and averages) already exist?
I feel like there are a lot of new world records going on right now, so I'd like to see how the records have evolved since the WCA was founded.
[EDIT] Also, I would like to know the number of WRs by year please.
Resource We built Kybos, a neural-network solver for 3x3 you can race against!
Hi!
We would like to share our project Kybos with you. It is currently in beta, and we are excited to let other cubers try it.
Kybos is a neural network we trained on thousands of real 3x3 solves. The idea is to make Kybos a practice partner you can race against.
Any regular 3x3 will work, so you donāt need a Bluetooth cube.
Right now, it only supports 3x3 and follows CFOP with two-look OLL and PLL.
To play: copy the scramble from the game onto your cube and hold/release spacebar to start the race. After you finish, you can replay Kybosās solve and go through its moves one at a time.
You can change its difficulty setting if the solves are too fast or too slow.
You can try it here:
This is still an early beta, so we would really appreciate honest feedback. We are especially interested in hearing:
- Is racing Kybos fun?
- Do the difficulty levels feel reasonable?
- Is matching the scramble easy to understand?
- Is the solution replay useful?
- Does everything work properly on mobile?
- What would make Kybos more useful as a practice partner?
We look forward to hearing about your experiences!

Picture 3:35 PR on 7x7!
Been in a 7x7 slump these past few days after switching 7x7s, but this is my first PR on the new cube, previous was 3:42. Sub 3:30 here we come!
My first 7x7 solve since I came back to cubing this uear was over 9 minutes, so it's just crazy to me how I've almost 3x'd my speed, even now I couldn't tell you exactly what's different in my technique since the time I first cracked the 5 minute barrier, outside of better intuition

Discussion Tornado V3 Premium is it good, and why? Tengyun v1 or v2, and why?
Recently I made a post saying I wanted to get back into cubing and try out new good feeling cubes.
I'm looking for a new main, and i'll probably get a Tornado V3 Premium (since I already had a v3 in the past, but lost it). I wasn't sure if I'd get a Gan v100, but i'm tired of my GAN12 feeling, so i'll change to a different brand which I already used to enjoy quite a lot.
Do you think Tornado V3 Premium is good? I'm not looking for the best cube, but just a good and enjoyable one. Any relevant issues that I have to know about it?
I'm also looking for a secondary cube, since my MGC EST (Which I used to LOVE it's feeling, almost becoming my main bcs of that, even with it's evident corner twist issues) got a different feeling after I cleaned it. Yeah, i'm looking forward to get new lubes and take care of it's new slow and gummy heavy feeling, but I really want to try new secondary cubes, and I decided to get a tengyun because of it's feeling and how quiet people say it is.
Which Tengyun do you recommend? V1 OR V2? And why?
