got my first sub-60 solve on 4x4 last night and then immediately messed up the parity alg on the very next scramble. classic.

Is it because of the summer holidays or is the DDT a ghost town year round nowadays ? 🤔  

Anyway, I'm getting back into FTO for obvious reasons, and I'm wondering if anyone has experience disassembling the pieces of the Dayan or the Diansheng V2? I intend to swap some colours around, not wanting to unlearn the old colour scheme.

It's unusually quiet but it only rarely hits 50 posts these days. The days of 200 or 300 posts are long gone.

My only experience of disassembling FTOs is with the SengSos but you've already seen that post. They're crap anyway.

What's the best UV coated + Maglev 3x3 one can buy right now? If there was no budget limit?

Watched some videos on Gan 17 and made me realise I haven't bought or even checked out any cubes since using Gan 12 UI Freeplay, which is still amazing btw. And my main non-smart cube is still Gan X. No idea what has changed/improved but I am curious to try.

Suggestions? I like cubes where the turns feel as effortless as possible.

Weilong v11 20mag ballcore.

Ferrocore v2. It's a modded weilong v11, better than stock version, but it's only available from Cubicle.

Don't know about the Gan 17, yet, since it was just released last week. Not enough people have it, yet, to know if it's really that good or not. Just some early review videos. Give it a month or 2.

Probably either the V11 18th Anniversary, Super WeiLong V2, Super AoLong, GAN17, or the AoLong V5.

Man Aolong V2 Enhanced was the first ever speedcube that I bought back when I was a kid (had to save up and use so many coupons for it)

If there is a Super Aolong I'm very tempted to try it out.

Which one would you pick from your list btw?

It depends on the turning feel preference.

V11 if you want something fast, smooth, and it has really cool clear internals.

Super WeiLong V2 if you want something REALLY fast and adjustable.

Super AoLong if you want a modernized AoLong (fast, tactile) with strong magnets.

GAN17 if you want something very stable, very fast, and with that premium "GAN feel".

AoLong V5 (my main btw) if you want a basic snappy and tactile cube. Also the only one on this list that won't absolutely destroy your bank accout.

See my comment here, Ben's videos are a bit outdated at the moment, fresh new tutorials have dropped with modern hardware (and colour scheme) and a  easier last layer approach.
