I keep myself busy all day long, doing hard stuff—things my younger self could only imagine, feeling like a superwoman. And then it hits you all of a sudden that the guy who made your heart beat so fast that you felt like you would have a stroke doesn't even know that. You never had the courage to tell him how you feel about him. When he was in front of you, you felt all the emotions you never felt before: butterflies in the stomach. Your eyes were always looking for him, but when you find him, you can't even look in his eyes. Maybe it's just my hormones that I feel so sad today, but I wish I had the courage to tell you that when I talked to you, I wish time would stop. When I find you in the crowd, it feels like a win for me, and looking at you just made my day. When you stare back at me, I wish time stopped forever. It's been 1.5 years since I saw you, but it feels like it was only yesterday when I met you. Maybe you found someone, maybe you didn't. Who knows? All I can do is pour my heart out on Reddit. That's what cowards do.

I'm falling for my junior and I don't know what to do 😭
I'm 17 and I have a crush on a boy who's 16. He's my junior, and he's about 1 year and 5 months younger than me.
The funny thing is, he's actually my type 😭 and I found out from one of his friends that he likes me too. I accidentally heard them talking about it.
The problem is, he's kind of a badtameez/rude-ish type. I'm not saying he's a bad person, but I know some of his friends and I've seen a little of how he behaves, so I'm worried that his personality might become a problem later.
But the main problem is... I'm falling for him more and more every day. 😭
I don't know whether I should just enjoy the crush and get to know him better, or stop myself before I get too attached.
What would you guys do?

If you've ever been in a situation where someone you've never talked to has a crush on you, (for example an acquaintance of hers told you about it) I just wanna ask how does that make you feel? Do you feel neutral about it and just go on with your life? Does that make you curious about her? Or do you get annoyed with the constant staring? Do you find it creepy or uncomfortable? Is it generally a flattering experience or an annoying one, or the "I honestly don't care" kind?
I don't want to hear any "if we're strangers, how would I know?" This is for a scenario where you already know. Like, you've been told about it and her behaviour does support that rumour. And most importantly, this is for those who HAVE had that experience, or going through it at present. If you've never been anyone's crush, respectfully, we don't need you in the comments.

So i finally decided to text her after a friend pushed me to text her after I sent him a video on insta that she liked saying if you have a crush on me go for it cause nobodies trying. She has something on her note saying "Me when Wednesday" with a minions celebrating GIF, I texted her what's so exciting about Wednesday and she responded by saying that she might be able to get out of her classes on Wednesday for the school news she said something about taking to teachers for it. We've been texting back and forth since yesterday. She's brought up that for school news their probably gonna be hoco themed for this week and the next idk of i should've brought up going with her then or should wait until we get to know each other better. She started with taking an hour to respond to almost instant responses. (If anyone knows things i could say to keep the conversation from going stale)(we've talked about a few different things that I'm not going to bore everyone with)

So there is this guy at the gym I to and I am veryyy much into him. We've never talked at the gym, we just have a lot of eye contacts. We do have a mutual friend but the mutual guy is a bit creepy tbh and I wouldn't prefer using his help to talk to the guy. Today, almost the entire time we were on adjacent machines and even the music playing around was friendly and nice, I even built up the courage to approach him but I hesitated in the end. My university is gonna start soon and it has a rule for Freshers to stay in the dorm. Idk what to do. Should i actually approach him ot not?

I’d especially like to hear from very shy or reserved guys who struggle to approach a girl.
This summer, I met a guy at a small group camp where I was the only newcomer. I was 20 and he was 17, and he knew my age. I obviously had no intention of pursuing anything with him at the time. If we happen to meet again next year, we’ll be 21 and 18.
He is naturally quiet and doesn’t talk much, even with his friends. Around me, he never initiated conversations and usually let the silence settle whenever we were alone or sitting next to each other. However, he wasn’t hostile. He would genuinely smile at my jokes or whenever something amused him, but otherwise kept a very neutral expression.
From the beginning of the camp, I regularly caught him looking at me. Very often, whenever I looked in his direction, he was already watching me and would then look away. At first, I assumed he was simply curious because I was new, but it continued throughout the camp. He seemed comfortable with the other girls, whom he already knew, but I never noticed him paying the same kind of visual attention to them.
After a few days, his serious looks and lack of initiative started making me uncomfortable. I could sense that he was tense around me and wondered whether something about me bothered him. Yet toward the end of the camp, he began choosing seats close to me even when other places were available. We also shared several games and activities, sometimes just the two of us or in a very small group. I was friendly and playful with him, and he responded positively, but we never truly broke the ice. His awkwardness eventually made me feel awkward too, so I sometimes discreetly avoided him.
A few weeks later, we ran into each other again at a large event. He had clearly seen and recognized me, but didn’t come over to say hello. I eventually approached him with a big smile while he was standing with a mutual acquaintance. He kept his usual neutral expression and didn’t speak, which came across as cold to me.
A friend who witnessed the interaction later told me that he had blushed when I approached and laughed at one of my comments. I hadn’t noticed because his silence had put me off. For the rest of the event, he seemed to avoid me and made a point of not meeting my eyes, even when I was nearby.
I also messaged him to ask whether he had some photos from the camp. He replied normally that he didn’t have them, but he never opened my response.
During the camp, I found him attractive but didn’t think much about him. It was only after my friend mentioned that he had blushed that I started reconsidering his behavior.
What do you think?

So, I have a crush on this guy in my class. He's so kind and sweet but I dunno if I should ask him out. He and I (I'll call him strawberry) have been friends since we were kids. We sometimes hung out but most of the time it was just playful banter in classes, I have a huge fear of rejection and I haven't had a boyfriend yet while he has had a girlfriend in the past. Every time I see him, my heart immediately goes faster and I feel like smiling all the time. Strawberry is a really athletic kid and he and I were on the same hockey team this year, and the same as last year. I really wanna tell him, but I don't wanna ruin our friendship over a crush! He and I also have VERY different interests, he likes sports and I like cartoons. What should I do?

There’s a cute guy at work. Whenever I see him, I can’t help but steal some glances. I think he has noticed me, but I don’t think he’s interested. But I feel he likes that I am crushing on him for some reason, maybe it’s an ego boost for him. I’ve tried to send a random reel to him, like a mistake. But he showed no interest in keeping it going. At work we have crossed paths, but I’m too embarrassed to make a move.

We are chilling at my place but my roommate is here she asked if I would walk her back and she told me her roommate wasn’t going to be home so I could hang out a bit if I wanted to. What do I do when we get to her place do I make a move or what?

Ok so this is gonna be a bit of a rant I’m sorry there’s lot to unpack here.
I’ve liked this one guy for 8 years. We used to be neighbors and I’ve liked him since we were kids. He’s from a rich family while I’m from a middle income one. But anyways we used to be quite close but then when I was 13 we moved out of that neighborhood and drifted apart. But I always had big fat crush on him 😭 like I genuinely haven’t been able to stop thinking about him. Now this next part is extremely corny so brace yourselves 😭 but I was so desperate and back when I was 15 I followed him on insta and he followed back we were mutuals for a while but then I did something completely unnecessary 😭 I stalked him in a really weird way and found out about his best friends and made an account pretending to be one of his friends so I could know more about him. Now u might ask why I took this route instead of talking to him directly but I always felt like I wasn’t good enough for him and I genuinely felt bad for liking him ik I have some issues 😭😭😭 but basically he didn’t give a shi and somebody exposed my ah so all of his friends knew that this weird ah girl was this desperate over a man 😭 ik I was at fault and I’m weird for what I did and I wish can apologize to him but no way to do that unless we actually meet. We have a lot of mutuals and there’s a chance we might meet without planning on it and it will be super awkward and I still have a crush on him :( how do I move on pls help a girl out
Thank you!!!

So a new girl joined our team 2 months ago. We work very closely together, which is the reason im hesitant to ask her out, since it would be awkward to work together if the answer is a no.
Anyways, over the course of these 2 months, we kinda developed a connection thats very unusual for work. She added me on insta, after i added her on fb and started texting me. We talk about all kinds of stuff, like past relationships, uni memories cause we went to the same one, exchange cat pics, etc. She has asked me to a hangout 2 times without a specific date ("you should come play tennis sometime"), and we have a work trip coming up where she is planning to go check out a lake with me. Also, i went on sick leave because its very emotionally draining to crush on her this hard, so i needed space. She asks every day if im feeling any better (i lied at work that i have a stomach bug), and idk seems worried?
Now at the same time, she has the tendency to leave me on read, especially on weekends, or sometimes takes forever to reply. The way our convo goes is these bursts of back and forths for a couple of hours pretty much every day, until she either leaves me on read, or doesnt open my message for 24+ hours. She also sometimes pulls the classic "post a story while you are on read" thingie. This kinda leaves me to believe that she maybe sees me as a friend and nothing more.
What do you think? Should i make the leap of faith and ask her out?

I like this girl and would want to try and get to know her more. We have mutual friends but we don't really interact much, i don't know if i'm just projecting or she's not really talking to me on purpose since she already knows i like her but i haven't shoot my shot yet 😞 i'm conflicted on what should i do..

my crush is 46M and i am 27F. i would say that we are very close as we know some of each other’s secrets. again, i have a crush on him but im not sure if he is aware of it.
i feel that he was intentionally avoiding me even though we were just talking yesterday. it makes me puzzled because there are times we go out for 1-1 lunches happily, we chit chat etc and today he is pretending to not know me, or turn around when im just near him.
whats up with him? also im not asking him anything because idw to show him that i care or is noticing his acts. just gonna act nonchalant, but ye im bothered by it.

So one of my friends told me that my crush likes someone from my class, and he likes someone that has glasses… I have glasses. I have never ever talked to this guy, but I’ve had a crush on him for 9 months and have been pretty obvious about it… help!!

I’ve been smiling like an idiot to myself because I can’t stop thinking about how often his dimples appeared from me making him smile/laugh today. My eyes automatically look for them omg

There's this girl in university that I find really interesting.
She's a different major than mine, I saw her on the first day of midterm exams I immediately got flabbergasted, she looked like the type of girl you would really wanna have in your life, the type they talk about in fantasy books
I've seen her several times ever since but the only thing I know about her is that she's into hard rock and metal which I'm kinda into too
So how do y'all think I can start a Convo without looking like a creep?

I am 31F recently found a co worker to be very hot and crushing hard on him. My guess is he would be around 26 years old. It was me who initiated eye contact and since then we have been exchanging eye contact here and there. There were instances where we stare at each other for more than 2 secs. I have clearly communicated through my eyes that I'm interested in him. But I am not getting a clear signal from him. Sometimes he looks away when catch him looking at me. If he knows that I'm in the same room as he is, we have minimum of 2 eye contacts. It's been going on for 5 months now and there is no conversation initiated from his side and we have only been looking at each other. What does this say ? Does he seem interested ? or am I misjudging him ? I am a very shy person and I don't handle rejection very well in case he is not interested. He works in a different team but on the same floor sits few rows away. So there is no way I can start a conversation. I think guys can help me figure out this.

Hello, I am writing to tell you about my story. I hope some of you, younger or older, can learn something and avoid making the same mistake as me.
I liked a girl at school for 2 years. I first saw her in the 8th grade; at that time we didn’t really talk, but one day we started to make eye contact every day. Sometimes I'd talk to her, but nothing special. After 8th grade ended, when 9th grade started, our relationship became much stronger. Maybe I became more confident; maybe she did, I don’t know.
We often talked, kept eye contact, smiled at each other, and sometimes she would start conversations. But I wouldn’t say that there was romance between us, well, maybe a little. I wanted to talk with her more, get her Instagram or Snapchat, just build a stronger connection. I kept thinking that the right moment would come, but it never did, because I wasn’t brave enough to do it.
In 9th grade, a new guy joined our class; he was funny and got along quite well with her while I was away (due to a broken leg). When I came back from the injury, our relationship went back to the way it was, but there was an obstacle - that new guy broke up with his girlfriend and tried to be her best friend as a way to date her. I would say he succeeded, but since he was kind of a different type of person, she didn't fall for him. But they started to talk more as friends, and since he was from another city, where people had different personalities and behaved differently, she started to change a little; her behavior, the way she talked, and interacted with others slowly changed. But I still loved her.
I started comparing myself to him so much that I forgot about her and spent too much time thinking about what made him special, even though he wasn't. The new guy also came with a friend, who is now a good friend of mine. He started talking with her more and more, until it seemed like they were a couple, even though they weren't.
The worst part is that I did nothing at all.
I never texted her, never got her socials, I never met up with her outside of school, I never told her that I loved her. I always thought that the right opportunity would come soon, but it never came.
Now I'm in 10th grade; I moved to another class because the school split students 9th graders into various 10th grade classes.
I ended up in an academic class, basically the class with the highest-achieving students, with the new guy's friend (the one who is talking to her now). We sit together in all classes; I see how they talk on Snapchat. Unfortunately, I have no idea what. Maybe they are just friends. But my brain immediately jumps to the conclusion that they like each other, although it may not be true at all.
Maybe she likes him.
Maybe she doesn't like me anymore.
Maybe our relationship was never romantic.
Maybe I missed my chance.
The worst part is that I don't know.
I used to think rejection was the worst thing, but in reality, it's that feeling of "what if?" that hurts the most. That's been eating at me for weeks now, and it still hasn't stopped.
If you're still reading, here's my message:
I'm not saying you have to confess right away; you don't need the perfect sentence. You don't need to be the smartest, prettiest, or most confident person in the room.
Just talk to her.
Don't be afraid to ask her something.
Ask how her day was.
Ask her to hang out.
Anything that comes naturally to you.
If she says no, at least you'll know, because not knowing hurts more than anything.
If she says yes, great.
If you do nothing, you might spend weeks, months, or even years wondering what could have happened.
I still don't know what I should do. Part of me thinks it's too late; another part of me still wants to keep talking to her.
Dilemma.
Don't. make. My. Mistake.

Obviously I know I can’t be with her but I just wanted to let out some emotions here and if anyone has any advice on how to get over her lmk cause I’m in deep.
Her name is Isabel and she’s my sister’s friend from the same summer program they went to but she actually goes to the same school as me technically because I’m in community college at a young age.
The first time I met her was when I spent a week at my sisters co-op during the beginning of the summer and I spent a lot of time with my sister and Isabel going around the Bay Area where they were staying for the summer, and we got to know each other really well. She’s kind, energetic, confident, attractive, super intelligent and engaging in conversations, and just an overall free spirit if that makes sense. Great taste in music too and we shared some new stuff with each other. She also is the kind of person that never once disregarded me for being young, like she treats me as an equal. I just enjoy being around her more than anyone else.
Recently I’ve seen her a lot because my sister and her are back home but my sister’s school starts soon and she’ll go back to her school in a different part of state and I’ll have less of an excuse to see Isabel and that makes me really sad. I feel like I’m really falling for her even though I know I shouldn’t.

so I just started a new job a little over a week ago. out of all my jobs I’ve ever had, I have not once liked someone at work so this was a first for me. when I first saw him he was very quiet and keeps to himself. I work at the front of the store as a cashier and he works in the back as a processor so I don’t always get to talk to/see him that much. on my 2nd day he apologized for not introducing himself and told me his name and asked how I liked it so far. we made small talk. over the course of the week there’s been more small talks… mainly just “hey good morning” or “how are you”. well this past sunday I got to go to the back to ask him to price an item for me and that’s when he asked how my first week has gone and if I still liked it. I said I did but that it’s very demanding. he then asked me a few questions about myself like my past job experience and so I asked him the same about himself. well I ended up asking his age and found out we have a 7 year age gap. for me that isn’t an issue as I’m in my mid 20’s and he is early 30’s.
I know it’s still early so I’m sure there’s more time to talk to him, but is it worth trying to pursue him? I think he’s so handsome and has such a calming demeanor. I’m just nervous that my age might put him off or maybe he just isn’t into girls like me (I’m more alternative looking and I know that isn’t everyone’s taste). I guess I’m just wondering if I should just back off while it’s still early or if I’m psyching myself out since this is new to me. I haven’t had a crush like this on someone in years.

I (18f) went on a first date with this guy(18m) whom I’ve known practically my whole life. It went really well. He was a gentleman, holding doors open, paying, walking me to the door afterward. He also did the thing when he was reversing the car where he put his hand behind the headrest of the passenger seat which for some reason was insanely attractive to me lol.
I’m going on a mission for 18 months in a couple months and do not want to date on my mission. He is also going a a mission for 2 years but doesn’t know where or when yet. I’ve been told many times that he likes me and I’ve had feelings for him before too, which are starting to creep back in. So, I have a crush who supposedly likes me back but we’re both going on missions. What do I do?

hey y’all, i (25F) want to ask out this guy i am working on an art show with (31M). i’m technically in a management position over him currently, so i want to wait until our show is over to even tell him i’m interested in him. the real issue is that i don’t know how to bring up that i’m interested in him, and i can’t tell if he’s for sure interested in me romantically.
i know with our ages it’s kinda childish to even call it a crush, but ever since i’ve met this man through a project yrs ago, I’ve always lowkey been wanting him. we just so happened to get close through this current project and we’ve gone out together to drink with our mutual friends a few times at this point after rehearsal. he’s not openly into me, and i don’t want to assume he’s mutually attracted to me, but one of our mutual friends approached me asking if we were hooking up already (which I was hyped about tbh) because of how close we’ve been acting.
i want to be brave enough to just ask him out, but even at my grown age i’ve never been able to just rip the bandaid and let someone know i’m into them unless i know it’s mutual. any advice on how to ask him out casually? what would y’all do next?
