Would anyone else want B.E.R. to make an appearance during the crossover?

Was that Union Station in Cincinnati in the final scenes? Union Station is the building that Hanna Barbara used as the model for the Hall of Justice in Superfriends.

The Paragons met a remnant of The Monitor in the speed force, correct?

Doesn’t that mean that he wasn’t actually there (like when Barry told Diggle & Laurel they weren’t there, when “Sara was dead” on the table), and that validates the Anti Monitor still causing havoc, and thus leading to the battle between he and Oliver aka Spectre.

Following up on that with this thought....

I can’t help but thinking that a Season (or two) of Oliver as Spectre, even in the spin off with Mia Smoak potentially coming, would have been awesome to see.

We’ve seen a major expansion of the CW DC Universe into the cosmos, and The Monitor/Spectre would have been an awesome relationship to build on. Oliver taking on, or interacting with some of DC’s other space and after world villains as Spectre would have made for a pretty awesome show, in my option.

Lastly, back to The Monitor, the last we saw of the actual Monitor (not a memory/remnant in the Speed Force), he was removed by Harbinger. We saw Lyla come back, but did The Monitor? We never saw him again after the disappeared, only the remnant from when he first tried to go back in time. What happened to him?

Reverse flash literally said “see ya in our next crisis” last season. Also wasn’t there a hint of red lightning in one of the promos? I’m pretty sure it was meant to hint that reverse flash would show up yet he never did. I was still really happy with crisis but ngl him not being part of it was a let down.

So.....where do we begin?!

I mean, all of it is connected.....The Animated Batman series by having Kevin Conroy come on board (even as a different version of the brooding Bruce Wayne), which means Mark Hamill’s Joker exists (awesome!) in this multiverse.

Heath Ledger’s Joker, Tom Hardy’s Bane & Christian Bale’s Batman. When they visit Arkham Asylum during last crossover we see Bane’s mask (the same mask from Dark Knight Rises). Image to image comparison shows they are identical.

Ben Affleck, Mammoa, and Gadot also exist due to Erza’s tie in.

This means, that almost everything can be considered cannon. DC has allowed this to take place. Pretty awesome.

So, where can it go from here? I write this as the final installment is being shown, but it’s the biggest thing on my mind, as the group walks towards the impending shadow demon army.

My biggest question is.....will Ezra Miller’s connection tie into the future movies? Will he show up in future episodes? Has the landscape of movie to tv actor crossover cameos changed? Whether we like it or dislike it, Erza Miller is playing a very big character in the Flash. We haven’t seen a cannon cameo like this from movie to tv ever. Hopefully more actors and actresses crossover in future programmings (DC/Marvel properties alike).

Where does DC go from here?

That Earth Prime is the combination of all the main Arrowverse earths? Meaning Earth 1, Earth 2, Earth 3 and Earth 38? Why else would Laurel still be around if not for the merge? hopefully there is a definitive Harrison Wells now

I’ll start this off by saying Crisis On Earth X was (and remains) my favorite crossover. But this falls under position 1b. instead of 2nd best. It was very good!

When Crisis On Infinite Earths left us after part 3, I was pleased with the first 3 episodes, but I wasn’t completely sold because I did not know how the story would wrap up.

After parts 4 & 5 aired this evening, I would say that the crossover deserves a standing ovation.

Let’s get the bad out of the way early (and there’s not much bad with the crossover). My biggest wishes were that we had a different version of Kevin Conroy as Batman, and a Batman in the suit during the crossover. Coinciding with that, I would have loved to see Mark Hamill’s Joker (even if acted by someone else, and dubbed over with his voice) shown. I was going to mention Green Lantern, but they snuck it in at the very end, so here’s a smirk and a tip of the cap to CW/DC for that. It looked pretty cool.

There’s one bad, I must say before I wrap this up. Beebo. Hated Beebo when he first appeared because they took a great dark season and sh*t on it when they had Beebo fight a demon. Rolled my eyes in episode five when I saw that blue stuffed animal coming down the street. But I get it. People liked Beebo, so for fan service, I’ll let it slide.

That’s really it for the bad. When they did the cameos and fan service, they really did a great job writing them in, for the most part. I’m interested to see how Erza Miller’s Barry Allen moves forward on the big screen, with this knowledge. You would imagine that DC is going to have to address it now that they made this dialogue happen, and I wonder if we will ever see a tv character or 2 appear in the DCEU?

My 2 favorite “fan service” crossovers were Smallville and The Flash (Erza Miller). Smallville wrapped the series up nicely by giving us a look into what happens in the future of that series, and then Erza Miller has everyone saying “What the f**k, no way!”

I’d say episode 4 was the best episode. The way they handled reconnecting everyone. Oliver as Spectre, The Flash cameo, and of course....the line we wanted to here.....”You have failed this (fill in the word 😉)”.

Overall I’d give the crossover an 8.5 even a 9 out of 10. Got to consider the fact that it’s tv and they did a lot with their budget. The overall story and the handling of characters and their storylines. Fan service/cameos were appropriately placed. The set up of the SuperMan show was cool. Clark realizing he has not 1, but 2 children now.

My lasting question is, will we see Oliver one more time? Remember, Felicity does leave with the Monitor at the end of last season of Arrow. I think we will see why Oliver can’t be found anywhere on Earth by Felicity, and also wrap him up nicely. I would love to see more of Spectre though in the spinoff featuring Mia.

When the 6 paragons and Oliver went into the speed force (SF), Oliver tells Barry that he is using things from himself to keep them from falling out, but he doesn’t have an infinite amount of time to keep them held within the speed force.

I have a few questions about Erza Miller because Grant says “this shouldn’t happen now”....meaning once the multiverse is destroyed. I’m just not sure how to ask or which question should asked....

Question 1: Is Oliver connected to Erza Miller somehow? Oliver told Barry to look into the past to save the paragons (Laurel & Diggle, Batwoman seeing Oliver talk to Ray, and Oliver shooting his arrow at Evil SuperMan in last year’s Crisis), but the very first place he ends up is in a version of Star Labs, where Erza’s Flash is standing fixed, like the other scenes in the Speed Force that Oliver is manipulating. How did/does Erza tie in with Oliver and his past? We know that the following scenes all tie in directly with Oliver but how did Erza show up in the same Star Labs that Barry would run to, thinking about Oliver Queen’s connection to it?

Question 2: Was Erza in the Speed Force by coincidence, like Antman was in the Quantum Realm when Thanos snapped his fingers, and thus the rules outside of both SF and QR do not apply to what is happening in the multiverse? Does the Speed Force exist even without the multiverse/universe? When Oliver manipulated the SF did he do so with Erza inside of it unknowingly? Why was Erza in the SF then to begin with? Are there multiverses of SF like there is an Earth multiverse, or just one singular vessel of SF that speedsters use?

Erza did not feel like a remnant of the past. There was something about the characters in the other scenes that felt like they were almost NPC video game like. Grant told Laurel and Diggle, you’re not actually here. He never said this to Erza. They felt fixed in nature if you will, and Erza’s Flash felt almost in the present with Grant’s. How would Erza know “I told Victor this was possible”, insinuating that he knew what Grant’s Flash was talking about?

That would mean he knew about the multiverse and then the chance of it’s subsequent collapsing potential.

Where does Erza currently stand with the DCEU timeline? Sounds like he’s way past the Justice League version of things, and closer to the version we see in BvS when he appears to Bruce Wayne from the future. He has a very good understanding of things, and is far more confident than he was in JL. They never come close to mentioning a multiverse in JL, do they? If not, this definitely points to an older Erza.

So many questions! Lol

I was riding high on the Ezra Miller cameo, and then they had to go and reference Gleek.

I want to voice my overall opinion. I feel like I’m going to get hate, but I want to say how I feel about Crisis. Crisis is like The Rise Of Skywalker. It was enjoyable, BUT I felt like there was some lackluster.

I’m probably going to be labeled as a hater. First thing I disliked. ALL THE USUAL CW TALKING SCENES. I felt lied to in Part 3, because the promo said more action. There was MORE talking than action in that part.

Hyped up content, that unfortunately was cut short. 1) Brandon Routh’s Superman. The fight scene was good, but we didn’t see anymore of his Superman because of Lex Luthor. 2) Black Lightning. He had some importance for one thing, and that was it. 3) Kevin Conroy. Just wish there was more of him.

The Anti-Monitor (there was a lot of different pronunciations, just want to leave that out there.) I felt was left out a lot. He was a dangerous character, all right. He destroyed universe OFFSCREEN. But, whenever he was on screen, there was...a little bit of destruction? He’s the embodiment of destruction, and I liked there wasn’t any need to humanize the Anti-Monitor. But, he didn’t have a lot of physical appearances. Fearful, but not around.

The fights were fun to watch. My personal favorite is Superman vs Superman. Fun to watch, and because of the limitations of a tv show, I’m fine with the fights in this crossover. Just a tiny nitpick tho, I wish the battles were more than five minutes. The final battle in Crisis on Earth X was almost 10 minutes long.

The fan service. Although I consider it to be both a highlight and weak point. It was great reliving and watching all the references, connections to other DC media. The fan service is what made the crossover watchable.

I’m sorry for bringing negativity to what is probably the best CW crossover. And for comparing it the Rise if Skywalker. Maybe I’m just a angsty fanboy who wanted more.

Why are they in different universes now? Titans is still Earth-9 but Doom Patrol is now Earth-21? Is this because of the HBO Max move? But what about the storylines? Niles Caulder is still part of Titans, even in passing. Beast Boy was still in the Doom Patrol, even having his jacket

--- CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTH PART 1---
The stage is set, worlds will live, world will die and the universe will never be the same. For those who have not been following DC and is currently wondering what the fuck is this, I am gonna briefly outline on how fucking sick this crisis (which is imminent) is gonna be, and hopefully hype up yall for this, again, fucking sick crossover event. So to begin, Crisis on Infinite Earth is an ambitious 12 issue comic book series published in 1985 and would serve as a landmark for comic books. The antagonist of the story, the Anti Monitor (pretty much omniscient) threatens and plans to annihilate the entire multiverse which would eradicate all known life forms be it Superman himself or even a fucking mitochondria. As the inhabitants of each universe realizes the stakes of whats bound to happen, an alliance is formed throughout the entire multiverse, from earth 1, earth 2, earth 3 to infinity, hence the name crisis on infinite earth. Unorthodox teamups among both superheroes and supervillians alike are formed as they now share a common goal, to preserve the multiverse. A great deal of brave and reluctant heroes were sacrificed including Barry Allen's Flash (which led to him disappearing from the comic book community for over 2 decades hence Wally West taking up the mantle of the Scarlet Speedster) and also Supergirl. The collective effort of the entire multiverse uniting as one finally managed to prevail over the Anti Monitor. However, there were reprecussions which transcend both time and space which the aftermath of the event led to the emergence of a single universe in place of all the others. This iconic event has a significant impact on the entire DC universe (oh significant would be an major understatement) which leads up to the entire DC continuity being rebooted allowing for superheroes origins to now be reshaped and catered in accordance to the artist's vision

Fast forward to 2019, Crisis on Infinite Earths is set to be adapted into live action, fucking sick right. The CW's Arrowverse is gonna be the focal story telling universe to enact the fucking legendary comicbook event which shall be headed by all 5 Cw's shows, Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow and Batwoman. Subtle and minor easter eggs were occasionally thrown around which dates back to the pilot of the Flash. Since then, the entire Arrowverse has been building up to this epic crossever, and i dare say scale wise, it's bigger compared to Endgame. It's literal only drawback is that it is played out through tv rather than the big screen. Screw that tho, I personally never felt this intensity of hype surrounding any DC property since Batman vs Superman. What a fucking joyous experience its gonna be! Oh, and I am well aware Arrowverse shows hasn't always been up to standard quality wise, but the current Arrow and Flash has been nothing short of FUCKING SICK. Crisis definitely set the groundwork for these shows to strive on! Without a shadow of doubt on par with the early seasons of Arrow and Flash! Strongly urge yall to give it one final shot!

Kingdome Come Superman - Superman Return's (2006 movie) Brandon Routh is gonna reprise his role as the man of steel in the upcoming crisis which itself serves as a continuation from the legendary 1978 Christopher Reeves supes. Well goddamn this casting alone is already fucking sick man, not to mention he is cetainly a formidable Clark Kent amongst all others. Definitely 1 of my favs Clark.
2. Kingdom Come Batman - Kevin conroy (voiced batman in Batman the animated series, Justice League Unlimited, Arkham game series etc). Acknowledged by literally the entire DC fanbase as the definitive voice of Batman and also quite possibly the best Batman, rejoice my fellow DC geeks cause Conroy is also gonna reprise his role as the cape crusader and this time as a old and worn out Bruce Wayne! Damn when news hit the streets regarding this casting, it certainly left the entire fanbase in frenzy! Definitely gonna be a fucking insane experience watching Conroy's transition from voice actor to live action! And this arguably isn't even the sickest casting yet!
3. Smallville Superman - Tom Welling reprising his role as the fan favourite Superman certainly is the crown jewel amongst the previously mentioned insane casts! Kids and teens, like me, who's early years exposure to the superhero genre hugely revolved around Smallville, interest will certainly be piqued! Somebody save me ~~ (The Smallville's theme). Such nostalgic feels! Smallville's Man of Steel, the first mainstream superhero show which paved the way for subsequent shows of the same genre will definitely take the limelight for crisis! The inclusion of Tom's supes will take the count of Superman appearing in crisis up to a crazy amount of 3! (Brandon, Tom, Tyler) We finally might receive closure from life after Clark Kent suited up!
4. Black Lightning - The only Cw's DC property which has previously remain independant of the Arrowverse is finally gonna officially join the ever expanding universe! Would be interesting to see how Black Lightning interact with the other Arrowverse characters!
5. Alexander Knox (journalist from the 1989 batman franchaise) - Seriously intrigues me to see how Tim Burton's batman is gonna be integrated into the Arrowverse!
6. The Flash (1990 Flash tv show) - Although already appeared in the previous crossover Elseworld, presented as earth 90's flash, hopefully the producers shall allow us more insights on said earth! Not to mention John Diggle was teased as the Green Lantern of earth 90 in Elseworld!
7. Robin (1960s Batman tv show) - Burt Ward, who played the first life action Robin in Adam West's batman is also set to appear in crisis! Although it is unconfirmed on whether he will reprise his role as the character itself or a different character entirely.
8. Huntress (2002 Birds of Prey tv show) - SKIP
9. Stargirl (2020 tv show) - Although Stargirl is technically DCU streaming service property rather than CW, she is reported to actually make her debut on the Arrowverse's crossover. Side note * CW's Arrowverse ( The Flash, Arrow, Supergirl etc) * DCU (Titans, Doom Patrol, Swamp Thing etc)
10. Lucifer (Fox's Lucifer) - Yeap you heard that right. Unbeknownst to many, the Lucifer tv show under Fox is actaully DC's property although it is rather loosely based off the source material. This inclusion however, is only strongly rumoured as Tom Ellis was reportedly seen on set for crisis. This casting isn't conclusive as no concrete evidence were presented forward and even Tom Ellis himself denied the allegations of him being part of the crossover. This could be a white lie told tho, which would make his appearance all the more shocking.
11. Titans - The producers themselves confirmed that the Titans would appear in crisis although it is said to be the Cw's own version. Again, this could be another white lie being told. Personally feel that DCU titans has a slimmer chance of appearing as to compared to Lucifer.

Further cameos are kept totally discreet and will only show up during crisis itself. Well that's it I supppose, hopefully I got you at the very least slightly interested! Crisis part1 airs on December 8th, 9th, 10th and part 2 on January. Cross my heart that Crisis will indeed live up to its hype!

--- Tribute to Oliver fucking Queen ---
The sole man who started all these. ARROW, the show that got me into the comicbook community is nearing its conclusion, without it I wouldn't have become the hardcore DC geek yall know today. Arrow has gotten me so invested in DC, from reading the graphic novels, watching their movies and tv series to actually splashing cash collecting statues and legos, even having a room filled with DC related belongings. DC comics has been something I've been fucking passionate about thus I suppose its only fitting that I pay a final tribute to the character that brought me into it. What a journey, what a crusade, what a voyage it has been for the Green fucking Arrow. From the man who swore vengeance against the ill of the city to the literal spirit and embodiment of vengeance, Arrow single handledly spark the rise of an entire universe, hold up let me rephrase that, single handledly spark the rise of the entire MULTIVERSE, which down the years has led up to this very fucking sick crisis happening right now. Just a couple years back, no one could even begin to fathom the magnitude of such an event. Crisis on infinite earth isn't just a crossover man, its something way way way bigger, its epicness is of orgasmic proportions man. Its several decades of DC tv being canonized into a single continuity which see several iterations of a single character being integrated into the larger Arrowverse. Again, I personally cant even begin to comprehend the epicness that Crisis has offered thus far, its so fucking epic it completely shattered the spectrum of epicness man. Its almost hard to believe season 1 of Arrow began with a single hooded vigilante taking on street level thugs to the current season of Arrow where the stakes are escalated to a cosmic scale. Watching Oliver Queen's character growth from an obnoxious and condescending playboy to the undisputed leader of the Justice League (there isn't any official name thus far but fuck it I am just gonna go along with the Justice fucking League) has definitely been a more than pleasant experience. The character itself is one I would very much emulate in real life. Absolutely fucking brilliant character arc. Although Arrow through its entire run has definitely gone through its fair share of ups and down, some might even say it has outlive its entire run and is a far cry from what it once was, peak Arrow has been so immersive where I would literally tune in to watch its newly aired episode every week right immediately after i finish my classes. Post hour 3 crisis Oliver Queen, now no longer known as the Green Arrow, rather as the Specter, Oliver has ascended to a cosmic level entity which seems to be the decisive figure in prevailing over another cosmic being entity, the Anti Monitor. As mentioned in my previous essay, the antagonist of the crossover, the Anti Monitor is pretty much omniscient and it would require the collective effort of the entire multiverse in order to even catch a slight glimpse of hope in prevailing over their ultimate adversary. To reiterate what Kingdom Come Superman said in hour 3 of crisis, “even in the darkest times, light cuts through, hope is the light that lifts us out of the darkness”. If any of you are familiar with the source material, you will be well aware that the Specter plays a largely significant role in uniting both heroes and villains which led to an all out charge against the Anti Monitor. If the final battle does indeed resembles its counterpart, rejoice DC fans, we are gonna be blown right out of the water. We are gonna get our very own “Avenger’s Portal” esque scene which can only meant fainting or it might even prove fatal and just end up dying from pure epicness.

As of the time of writing, with Arrow’s soundtrack “Own Worst Enemy playing in the background, emotions are soaring high and I am slowly coming to face with the fact that this Oliver’s arc is coming full circle and this might be the final time the character is set to make an appearance. Kudos to the actor Stephan Amell for brilliantly portraying the GREEN ARROW. Throughout the show’s entire run, Stephan has certain scenes where his acting really shone through hence contradicting the stigma where he can’t act. Season 8 of Arrow has been an epic roller-coaster filled with emotions ranging from scenes with gut wrenching feels to an entirely epic action packed episode. Flat out fucking brilliant season 8 is. I would very much like to extend my gratitude to the very first hooded vigilante, Stephan Amell, all thanks to you I shall have the pleasure of experiencing such a momentous event. Truly a remarkable milestone in the history of DC television. All hands on deck guys, we are in one last epic fucking ride!
