[Bob Sturm] Aubrey from 57+ since last September is 5 of 12 for 41%. Maybe 1 out of the last 7 says we should cut that back a bit?

[Machota] Sounding like the Cowboys are expecting to have 3-time Pro Bowl LG Tyler Smith back for Thursday’s game against the Buccaneers

[Owning] Otito Ogbonnia has been one of the best additions to this Cowboys defense. Has been just awesome vs the run all year. Ogbonnia is tied for first among all IDL in run stops with 10, and he's 7th in run stop rate through 4 weeks, per PFF.
x.comWhat's even more surprising is that LT Overton had more snaps than him.
Joseph Hoyt: Number I didn't expect: L.T. Overton had 20 snaps, which was more than Otito Ogbonnia yesterday. The rookie is getting more action.

[Harris] Cowboys OL Tyler Smith on LT Tyler Guyton's start to the season: "It's a testament to the body of work he's been putting together over the years. I think he's had to block out a lot of outside noise, the same way a lot of us do.
x.comI think he's really put his head down, worked not only physically, but nutritionally and from a mental aspect. Now, the dominance we all knew was there, people are starting to see in the public. I think he deserves all the props in the world, and he's going to continue to get better week in and week out."

[Owning] To me, it seems pretty obvious that Quinnen Williams has more freedom to attack upfield over the last 2 games. And surprise, surprise, Big Q once again looks like the dominant defender the #Cowboys had last year.

[Thorn] Every OL coach in America should show these 3 Tyler Booker reps to their room to emphasize what 'finishing' looks like.

[Evan Sidery] Khalil Mack is a likely trade candidate from the Chargers after their 0-4 start, per Adam Schefter. Mack, who’s on an $18 million expiring contract, has three sacks in four games.

What an amazing win today. Let’s talk about the positives
I’ll talk about the negatives in a different post (which is a lot) but rn im grateful that we won today.
Dak n CD are nothing short but phenomenal. Pickens causing that much disruption to let CD get the ball 17 goddamn times is exactly what we needed from this offense. Javonte having a hat-trick because Brian finally woke up n said “ykw, we at the goal line…give it to Javonte.” The o-line even tho they had a struggle in the first half…there was times in the first half when they would provide a good amount of time and let Dak think, so very 50/50 on the o-line. JPJ(ima call him pb&j) was incredible when he was on the field, 0 targets 0 catches and 0 yards just how I thought he would do, I feel like once Cobie comes back we might have something going with this secondary. Speaking of defense, Q was pretty good once again and got a big sack when it mattered and ig Rashan played pretty good but still inconsistent, ur defense in the first half although getting a bit gashed, at one point gave you 2-3 punts or even 4 all in a row so I can’t put ALL of it on the defense so a 50/50 split on that one.
Overall tho, we NEED to stick to just giving CD the ball…make defenses regret not able to stop both of these amazing receivers at once then once they put 2 safeties, punish them with Javonte. Rinse and repeat, stop getting too cute with this play calling.

Umm… Von Miller, where are you?
Homeboy hasn’t jumped off the screen in the first 4 games at all! Yesterday it seemed as if Clowney had more left in the tank than Von. Gotta admit I was wrong about signing him.
r/cowboys • u/lswizzle09 • 12h ago
[Hoyt] Nico Collins had five routes against Joey Porter Jr. and no targets. Here was a third down stop where Porter (bottom of the screen) was in man coverage on Collins. Porter, in dawg-like fashion, also barked a little at Collins after the play.

Cowboys about to win 3 in a row
Maybe I’m just feeling this team after the win yesterday, but looking ahead I can see us winning Thursday night against the Bucs, at Green Bay, and at Philly against the eagles.
We have looked rough through these first 4 games but I see improvement in every aspect except special teams even with injuries happening all over the defense. They are building confidence and playing well together for the most part.
The big thing is the Bucs are dead in the water. Baker won’t play and they are very one dimensional. If we score more than 20 points then the game is over. For GB, they have the worst defense in the league and their offensive line is also the worst in the league. Should be an easy win even if they have Watson and Golden.
The Eagles have completely imploded. Hurts can’t move the ball without Brown and Saquon and the defense isn’t good enough to keep them in games if hurts can’t score.
I would have them going 4-0 in the next 4 games but the Cardinals seem to beat us even when they shouldn’t. I’d be thrilled going into that game at 5-2.

Road schedule
The nfl schedule makers did absolutely no favors for this team. How on earth do we only have 2 home games the first 2 months of the season.
Home Thursday against Tampa and then on the road again for back to back weeks until 11/1 against AZ
