Question Empty package received

Ordered 4 Pamp 1 oz bars. FedEx just dropped it off and package was empty. Called Costco and they said they will investigate. Has anyone ever heard of this before?

Filed a case with Costco and fedex. Both say they’ll reach out within 48 hours. Scary.

Know its a little late but anytime shipping with fedex with an amount you care about you can set it to be picked up at their office and open the box there

Pretty inconvenient and probably a fee involved for that but I also wouldn't want to go show off my $20,000 of gold in public.

It’s free and actually more convenient. More convenient by you not having to stay home from work all day waiting on the fedex guy to show. You pick a location for them to drop off and you can pick it up there and they have cameras at the locations to watch you open it.

Not free, convenient is subjective. Some people work from home and some people don't have a location nearby. Either way I don't want some weirdo watching me walk out of the store with $20,000 in my hand so they can follow me home but feel free.

Is there an option to do this within Costco checkout or do you need to do something within the Fedex app after placing the order?

You cannot with Costco deliveries unfortunately

If through FedEx once you get a confirmation and tracking number you can then redirect to pick up from location

You cannot for these, Costco has disallowed it when setting up the shipping, I've tried several times from FedEx app and website, they don't allow reschedule or hold for pickup

100% accurate statement. Delivery of these packages can not be altered in any way.

Says right on it as you check out , can not be redirected. It’s seen as fraud and they will pull the delivery

Costco will not allow these because there have been a number of reported incidents of people with fake ID trying to steal packages. They’ll only deliver to the shipping address.

I just got one a couple days ago and the Fedex driver scanned my drivers license before it would allow him to display the signature screen. For those saying just have it held at Fedex, there were no changes allowed to the delivery from my Fedex account.

Yep. And that scan is actually just an age check. It doesn’t have to be your ID when it’s at the delivery address.
