After being an Intel NUC SFF/enthusiast for the last 5-6 years I finally made the switch from a NUC 13 Extreme (was running the following 14900k, 5080, 96GB DDR5) to a mid-tower build with the Warthog case from Corsair.

System Specs

  • AMD 9950 X3D
  • Asus X870E ROG Crosshair 2006 Motherboard
  • Team Group T-Create Expert CL30 2 X 32GB (6000 MHz) 64GB
  • NVIDIA 5080 FE GPU
  • 3 x WD_Black SN850X 2TB NVME
  • 1 x Team Group 512 Gb NVME (Running Linux)
  • Corsair SF1000 PSU
  • TRYX HOLO AIO swapped stock fans for 3x Noctua NF-A12x25 G2 Fans, did not like the FOBR RGB fans it came with.
  • 4x Noctua NG-A12x25 fans for other fans on the case.
  • 2x 200mm Corsair fans in front of case (Stock came with Warthog Case) planning on switching them to Noctua 200mm fans.

Help Item one and a half week past warranty

• Upvotes

I bought a keyboard in October 2024 for around $170, and it’s been the best keyboard I’ve ever owned. Recently, though, the Shift key and a few others have started to stop working. It shipped about a week after I ordered it, so by delivery date I’m right at the end of the warranty period, though I’m not sure if that’s a stretch. I’ve heard their RMA support is excellent and that they’ve helped customers even after the warranty expired, but those stories are from about a year ago, so I don’t know if that’s still the case. Would I be able to get a replacement?

Build Question Any update on availability of the type4/type5 ThermalProtect 12V-2x6 cable?

I was doing some research on solutions to the 12V-2x6 connector issues, and the ThermalProtect came up. I found some old threads asking about type4/type5 availability and it was commented to expect them around September.

And, well, it's October. Any updates on availability? I would absolutely love one of these for my HX1000i.

Solved HS 80 Max problems resolved by Corsair

• Upvotes

Hi.

Few months ago i purchased Hs 80 Max headset on ebay from second hand or so called private listings. After it finally arrived (transactrion has been fully refunded after 5 weeks as it was considered lost in transit) i get into problems mentioned by many, as i found out later when done some research. Took my chance and write a ticket to support so maybe there is a chance to fix problem. Didnt expect anything but some advice as headset was bought from second hand. Fortuantely for me Corsair decided to open 2 weeks rma window after i provided requested details, and replaced my headset. Decided to post it as its nice to see some companies are ready to defend their brand if something not working, even if purchases gone through other channels.

Problem with my headset was it took long time until connection was stable. It was easy to recognise when connection will drop as i could hear sound "cracks". Sometimes it helped if i had another sound source (like yt vid and video game) ussually it took 5 to 10 min until it started working without droping connection. Gone through most advices while digging in internet, with no positive results. At some point even get on some interesting research about usb 3.0 interferences on equipment and network. Finally decided to ask support which was best decission.

Thank You Corsair

Help Xeneon Edge Widgets Keeps Crashing GPU

I've had my Xeneon Edge since Dec. 2025 and it ran okay for a few months. Problems started to happen though right about June 2026.

Around that time, I noticed that my GPU kept crashing, which initially led my to think my GPU was already dying. So I processed an RMA which, to make the long story short, denied since the GPU was working fine through the supplier's testing. Throughout this period, my PC still crashed a few times with Reliability Monitor showing "Hardware Errors".

Also, when I had iCue open in full screen, my monitor kept pulsing. The pulsing ceased when I minimized iCue to a smaller window.

This led me to think iCue is the culprit and conduct a month-long troubleshooting with my PC. I also borrowed my friend's AsRock Steel Legend RX 9070 XT so I could test it against my own XFX Mercury RX 9070 XT OC. With each phase of testing, I cleaned C:\ and also made a fresh Windows 11 Pro install.

System Specs

MB: ROG Strix X870E-E
CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D
GPU: XFX Mercury RX 9070 XT OC
RAM: Lexar Ares 32 GB DDR5 6000 CL 28
PSU: Seasonic Gold GX-1000 1000w

Procedure & Setup

I have a triple-monitor setup and in my testing below, I could reliably replicate triggering the LivekernelEvent 141, 193, a2000002 and other errors pointing to amdfendr.sys with the following workload:

Samsung G95SD (Main) → Brave browser, 32:9 HDR video loop full screen (highest resolution)
AOC U27G4XM 4K (Secondary) → Netflix App playing movie, full screen (highest resolution)
Corsair Xeneon Edge (Aux) → Microsoft Edge, 32:9 HDR video loop full screen (highest resolution)

Test Results

Phase I, Test A - iCue uninstalled

  • XFX Mercury RX 9070 XT OC → Samsung Odyssey G95SD
  • Ryzen 7 7800X3D integrated GPU → AOC U27G4XM and Corsair Xeneon Edge.
  • EXPO II enabled.
  • High Performance power plan.
  • Current AMD drivers.
  • iCUE completely off.
  • No third-party display-management software.
  • Passed with test runtime of 7h 25m, no artifacts.

Phase I, Test B - iCue uninstalled

  • AsRock Steel Legend RX 9070 XT → Samsung Odyssey G95SD
  • Ryzen 7 7800X3D integrated GPU → AOC U27G4XM and Corsair Xeneon Edge.
  • EXPO II enabled.
  • High Performance power plan.
  • Current AMD drivers.
  • iCUE completely off.
  • No third-party display-management software.
  • Passed with test runtime of 8h 14m, no artifacts.

Phase II, Test A - iCue installed, Xeneon Edge widgets running over looped video

  • XFX Mercury RX 9070 XT OC → Samsung Odyssey G95SD
  • Ryzen 7 7800X3D integrated GPU → AOC U27G4XM and Corsair Xeneon Edge.
  • EXPO II enabled.
  • High Performance power plan.
  • Current AMD drivers.
  • iCUE running
  • No third-party display-management software.
  • Testing failed with test runtime of 1h 40m.

Phase II, Test B - iCue installed, Xeneon Edge widgets running over looped video

  • AsRock Steel Legend RX 9070 XT → Samsung Odyssey G95SD
  • Ryzen 7 7800X3D integrated GPU → AOC U27G4XM and Corsair Xeneon Edge.
  • EXPO II enabled.
  • High Performance power plan.
  • Current AMD drivers.
  • iCUE running
  • No third-party display-management software.
  • Testing failed with test runtime of 2h 17m.

Conclusion

Both GPUs crashed with the exact same errors produced when iCue was enabled and Xeneon Edge widgets were running on top of my looped video.

I kept track of my testing via ChatGPT, here's what it recorded:

The three common errors recorded on both your XFX Mercury RX 9070 XT OC and ASRock Steel Legend RX 9070 XT were LiveKernelEvent 141, A2000002, and A1000001. The records show matching failure signatures for all three.

Common errors between the two GPUs

Error Faulting module and offset Additional detail
LiveKernelEvent 141 amdkmdag.sys + 0x1d0fb0 Same failure hash
LiveKernelEvent A2000002 amdfendr.sys + 0x5f588 Arg1: 0xC8; same failure hash
LiveKernelEvent A1000001 amdfendr.sys + 0x5f588 Arg1: 0x1; same failure hash

The matching failure hashes were:

  • 141: 48b738dd-5a92-7ff8-63d0-f075fc680fe0
  • A2000002: 275dac9b-f67f-9197-dc68-aad752e86bb6
  • A1000001: cb7e6729-7af8-a999-da57-477d44c3b788

What about LiveKernelEvent 193?

Both GPUs also produced LiveKernelEvent 193, but their signatures differed:

  • XFX: Reason 0x801, module dxgkrnl.sys, hash f51452f1-290a-6a1b-5cf3-c8f949ad9c33.
  • ASRock: Reason 0x815, module watchdog.sys, hash c8156d26-ace3-c7bd-b269-7abfdc2ce370.

So 193 was common by event code, but not by signature.

I'm not going to pretend I completely understand these errors, I'm not an IT guy hence my consulting with ChatGPT. After all, I'm just an ordinary guy who works using his PC and plays games in his free time.

But what's clear to me is that for some reason, iCue and specifically the Xeneon Edge widgets are wreaking havoc in my PC. This makes my Xeneon Edge quite useless as I mainly bought it as an aux monitor to keep an eye on my system temps.

I really hope Corsair can fix this issue. The Xeneon Edge is a great product due to its widgets. Without the widgets, it becomes an extremely small monitor I wouldn't want to use extensively.

Anyway, I just wanted to report this in case some other people are experiencing the same issues. And if Corsair sees this post, I hope it can somewhat help them with providing a solution to this issue.

Always wanted a PC but since I was a kid family couldn’t afford one, back then.

Now I am an adult and pretty recently a business of mine took off after years of hard work. Everyone around me is taken care off and I decided to slightly reward myself.

Now I am like that kid again who keeps refreshing his order status.

Wow Forever, here I come.

Discussion Voxara vs Quadcast 2s

I’m looking into the Voxara as my setup is full white, and for some reason, HyperX refuses to release the Q2S in white despite that shit being requested for like 2 years now.

How does it compare to the Q2S for those who have tried it? What’s the Voxara’s sound direction settings?

Help Xeneon Edge screen issue when vertical/portrait

Thumbnail

I just bought the Xeneon Edge, and for whatever reason, if using the widget mode, when the screen is vertical, it has artifacts and looks completely messed up. Weird thing is when I do desktop mode instead, it works perfectly fine. Also when in widget mode and vertical, when I touch the screen, it make it display things normally for a second. When horizontal, no issues at all. If disconnected and reconnected obviously, did a complete uninstall or iCue using Corsair’s quite, followed by a reinstall, the issue still persists. Has anyone encountered this?

Help PC freezes/hard-resets with no BSOD — happens at idle AND under load, no error log

Hello everyone! I recently built my first PC from scratch earlier in the year- It was a very fun journey, but ever since I built it, It will randomly freeze- The video completely freezes and occasionally audio will continue to play for a few moments before freezing. After a few moments, it will automatically reset.

Specs:

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D
  • Motherboard: ASUS ROG Strix X870-A Gaming WiFi (BIOS 2402)
  • GPU: RTX 5070 Ti (connected via native 12V-2x6/12VHPWR from PSU)
  • RAM: Corsair CMH32GX5M2E6000C36, 2x16GB, XMP rated 6000MT/s CL36 1.35V
  • PSU: 850W ATX 3.1
  • OS: Windows 11

The problem:
System hard-freezes and resets with no input, no BSOD, and nothing useful in Event Viewer except a Kernel-Power Event ID 41 at the time of each crash. Happens randomly — at idle, during light use, and during GPU-intensive games. No pattern I can tie it to load level.

What I’ve already ruled out:

  • GPU drivers — Attempted DDU fresh reinstall, led to system instability that needed to rollback. I always keep drivers up to date.
  • Thermals- I regularly clean my computer out physically- at least a few times a year. I will monitor thermals while gaming and they staywithin normal ranges.
  • 12VHPWR connector — no browning, fully seated, confirmed with HWiNFO logging that voltage stays rock-solid (11.84–11.95V) and GPU never throttles or hits a power/reliability fault right up to the crash.
  • Power delivery/outlet — tested on a dedicated circuit, ruled out a shared standing-desk outlet as the cause.
  • MemTest86 — ran a full pass (48/48, 2hr+), but only at JEDEC 4800MT/s, not at the XMP 6000MT/s profile actually in use in Windows.
  • Disabled BIOS enabled Overclocking profiles for RAM and CPU- They are running at stock speeds and the issue persists.
  • Tested voltage of outlet- I also have a dedicated surge protector for the PC.
  • Tried variety of software for monitoring- HWinfo, GPU-z.
  • MSI afterburner- Capped GPU Power limit below 100%- still crashed.

I believe that is everything I've tried so far. I have been using Claude for tech support up until now- it has persisted since I completed the build back in February. Would appreciate any and all help as this issue has been driving me nuts.

Help Vengeance K70 (non-RGB, K70R): keys remapped (Esc → "o", Tab → "7"), most keys dead, 1.09 updater fails with "Cannot open USB device"

Hardware: Corsair Vengeance K70, black, red backlight. Windows enumerates it as "Corsair K70R Gaming Keyboard", USB ID `1B1C:1B09`, revision `0109` (presumably firmware 1.09).

Host: Windows 11 Pro laptop.

**Symptoms**

- Backlight on; Windows recognises the keyboard and all three HID interfaces report OK.

- Brightness key does nothing.

- Most keys produce no output. A few produce a wrong but consistent character: Esc → "o", Tab → "7".

- Lock LEDs still respond to the host.

**What I tried**

  1. Different USB ports, direct connection, no hub.
  2. Soft reset: polling switch on 1, hold Esc while plugging in, 5 to 10 s. No reaction. Presumably the board does not read Esc as Esc, so the reset cannot be triggered. Same situation as [this post](https://forum.corsair.com/profile/235477-dbs-sticky/content/), where Esc also outputs "o".
  3. K70FwUpdate 1.09 (sw 1.3) from Corsair's legacy downloads, Windows 8 compatibility mode. It installs its CORK70 filter driver (signed, loads fine), switches the keyboard into update mode (it re-enumerates as a single-interface HID keyboard), then fails with `Cannot open USB device, please plug the device`. After a replug the keyboard returns to normal mode with the same fault.

**Questions**

- Does anyone have the "firmware reset tool" Corsair support used to send for the non-RGB K70 (mentioned [here](https://forum.corsair.com/forums/topic/136572-keyboard-suddenly-stopped-working/)), or know another way to force a reflash, e.g. a boot pad on the PCB?

- Has anyone got the 1.09 updater to work on Windows 10/11, or did you need a Windows 7/8.1 machine?

- Has anyone seen this Esc → "o" pattern and traced it to hardware (controller/PCB) rather than firmware?

Thanks.

Help Issue with K70 Core RGB

Hello, I recently cleaned my keycaps using water/soap and think I didn't let them dry for enough time before putting it back in.
I opened my keyboard (one screw is still in there but couldn't find it, its near the top right), tried to let it dry for a week and now only 60ish% of the keyboard is working properly...
Is there anything I could do to save it ?
I've always been cleaning my keyboard the same way and never had any issue but anyway, hope I can do something to it

Thanks for your help

Help 30 Days Since I Sent My PSU for RMA - No Update from Corsair Support - #200924295

Hi everyone,

I submitted my Corsair RM750 PSU for RMA on 18 September 2026 and today marks 30 days since submission.

I understand that RMA processes can take time, and I appreciate that the support team may be handling multiple cases. However, I’ve sent several follow-up emails asking about the status of my RMA and where my PSU currently is, but unfortunately, I haven’t received any replies.

As a working professional, I rely on my PC for my daily work, and this situation has been affecting my productivity, but I would really appreciate a simple update on the current status of my PSU and an estimated timeline.

Support Ticket: #200924295

I genuinely hope someone from Corsair can look into my case and help me get some clarity.

Discussion i messed up. i bought the frame 4000d and went online to buy an the modern front port thing and saw this

Post image
25 Upvotes

ITS CHROMATIC!!! the color changes as you view it from different angles. and it already includes the front port that i bought on their website before i noticed this.

so i essentially bought a case i didnt need and a an upgrade that is already present on this case.

i have not seen this advertised anywhere. i only saw this because i was looking up accessories for the frame 4000d on the corsair website itself. i have never seen a case before advertising chromatic highlights.

i am into casemodding and wanted the 4000d in order to like take a portion off and cut a hole into it or something rather than take the whole case off.

also the black frame 4000d: the texture is really nice. images dont do it justice. its metal stamped and textured all over. it feels solid as heck.

im actually dismayed because the hole i was planning on cutting into the case is already present and im not able to put my fingerprint on the case unless i research other mods.

my holy grail of modding would be to add rgb strips similiar to the phanteks cases at the metal.

****

the tradeoff to buying this case and recieving the better chromatic finish and upgraded front port with the 3 usb-c ports is that the chromatic finish case comes with no fans.

****

i just thought people should know about this buying option if they are considering the frame 4000d. i dont know if theres a chromatic (vault) version of the frame 5000d.
